By chance did any of you locals recognize the little road that was posted a few pages back?

  • #883
Sorry Gig, but I have no clue. It just looks like so many paths and back roads in the county and surrounding areas.

The he trees seem to be what I call "weed trees" that seem to grow overnight. Maybe poplars? Would be easier to tell if they had leaves.

What kind of trees are grown there most often, along paths, specifically the area between Post and Williams, up along Telegraph Road to where the Easter search site is located? I guess, if you were considering an awareness area for a perp/s in Chelsea's case you'd include which towns? Any suggestions?

Do we have anyone on our thread here who actually attended BM's Halloween party? Thanks to the awesome maps, I'm now really honing in on the path to where the cars were parked. If I'm interpreting correctly, it looks like there was a hot dog (?) vendor set up right in the middle of the entrance/exit to the parking "lot". Does anyone know if this is accurate?

I'm wondering if the vendor was still around when all the purported "Hero" activity transpired. It sounds like there was a bit of a fracas if "Hero" is to believed at all. And you know what, I believe him. There's something in that story, maybe just a little bit of it, that rings true.
So I'm wondering if the Vendor saw any of this activity that Hero originally told police. :waitasec:

Okay, maybe someone will eventually recognize a landmark on that road.

How about this location? You can see a snow-covered cement courtyard that backs up to what appears to be homes. To the right, a chain linked fence butting up to a distinct tree, then wrapping aroung blocking easy access to the river in the background. The courtyard should be unique.

on this one can you look at the structure on the right edge, behind the wall of the house it looks like a pylon or water tower?

This side of the river, or across the river in that photo?

  • #889
Across the river. Very right upper edge, there's what could just more telephone poles or a pylon, what does that look like to you?

Sorry I can't get the "reply with quote" to work. It just keeps hanging up/spinning.

The courtyard should be unique.I don't recognize the location, but this sort of "concrete playground" could be from a schoolyard, or often in a subdivision park, perhaps from a trailer park, apartment complex, etc. Although, usually a cement area would be for basketball or tennis (around here, not likely to be for tennis). I don't see a chain link fence, but I do see the wooden privacy fence that separates the homes from the "courtyard"

FindHG ... if I understand your description of what is in the right corner, I believe it is an electrical transmission structure. Like the pic I will attach here. Not uncommon in large open areas:
(sorry, having too many issues with iPad this morning, advanced feature would not let me add pic... try google for "electrical transmission tower")

It looks to me like it might be one of these perhaps?

Was Chelsea known to indulge in any drug taking or heavy alcohol use? Was she seen to be intoxicated or stumbling around (especially would like to ask the vendor this!), if she was intoxicated somehow that would make sure sense to her walking into a pole and injuring herself I suppose.. JMO!

Whilst it is a hardcore gig, it doesn't look like a straight edge show (for all of you that don't know what straight edge is, it is a movement within hardcore where people do not touch drugs, alcohol, smoke or anything that is seen as damaging to their bodies) so the possibility of drug use could be a big one, I just keep looking at that photo of Chelsea in her outfit, head tilted and mouth slightly open.. Maybe it's the red eyes from the flash but there's something about her that looks a bit spaced out... Did her friends notice anything? So many questions. :(

Rachellouise - It has been reported several times that Chelsea was not a drinker/drug taker. Of course we don't know, and have been speculating that someone might have drugged her that evening. Police reported that a great many of the party goers were less than sober.

However following that line of thinking, surely they would've drugged the bottle Chelsea was holding with her all night? So if friends kept picking it up and taking swigs, they would've felt drugging effects also? Just exploring all possibilities

Some image posted for later reference

Thank you Spellie, dmc and roses, for the Gigtu image markers consideration, that's exactly what I was wondering. If markers, no people (check with mods, please, first) could be posted, I think there are a few.

Great images FindHG! Thank you

Rachellouise - I think the bottle got abandoned, not sure exactly when. It's not inconceivable to think Chelsea got drugged; I think your line of thinking is spot on.

I thought the (apple cider) jug was filled with food-colored water as a prop for her Poison Ivy character. I didn't think Chelsea, or anyone else for that matter, actually drank from the jug. That said, it's possible that someone drugged the beverage Chelsea had in the silverish coffee mug she's holding in some photos. :moo:

I checked the area around the Peters Road "Easter Search" area on Google and Bing Maps and couldn't find any likely location matches to the photos.

The angles of the shadows suggest the orientation of the photos. Assuming it to be a low winter sun sometime in mid-afternoon, the first picture (repasted below after enhancement) seems to have been shot facing due west(ish). So the high tension lines in the upper right must be running about north-south. So the location should be a few hundred yards east of a north-south(ish) row of pylons. The high tension lines that feed the area around the Easter Search area run east-west, and cross Peters Road at the north of the Easter Search site, so the photos can't be from that general area, I figure.

Here's a map of the Easter Search area.
