Thanks, Zweibel, we have been doing that. I printed the emails he sent to me and there is some spelling in question and some phrases also. His wife and a close friend and other family members have been going over some documents and comparing notes on what we see. That's a very good idea to compare Eric's emails to the posts of other people . We had even noticed something like what you are suggesting we do just tonight ! I appreciate your kindness in your questions and posts, as always. Can someone with a good eye take a long piece of text that is 100 per cent know to be written by Eric? Then study it closely for any spelling mistakes, and any grammatical errors?
.....I don't mean typos, I mean the kind of markers some people get wrong on a regular basis - its and it's, for example.
And any unusual words or phrases he might use.
Then look for any of those markers in the doubtful emails, and especially, try and spot any spelling/grammar mistakes he has never been known to make.
If someone could do that, it could be very interesting. If there are unique mistakes that Eric wouldn't have made, it might be possible to match them with identical mistakes made by someone he knew - say in postings online. That might give an idea of who might have sent them, if Eric didn't.
I know the information can't be posted, but I think it would be good if someone with access to the materials could do it.
I miss our chats. Maybe we can PM you with some of our FB stuff. Thanks. A lot of people aren't big FB people. I got on it mainly to help find Eric and it has proven to be very beneficial.I'm not being lazy - I'd love to do it but not being on FB means I'm missing all the stuff you guys are talking about.

ok ive been following this thread for quite awhile and living about an hr from where he went missing kind of keeps him in my mind. so this morning im on way to work and look next to me and catch my breath!! it looked like eric next to me!! i dont mean to sound cruel but at this point i think he would have contacted someone by now if he was still alive, so i dont believe it WAS eric but it just made me think of him. and it was a contract truck so unless he had a different ss # and drivers license he wouldnt have been able to have that job nor drive a company vehicle but it was shocking because that guy looked so similar. I hope 2014 will be the year we will have answers.Erics mom my thoughts and prayers are with you constantly!
Absolutely guarantee if I think I spot Eric anywhere he'll have a zwiebel hanging on his left ankle until he calls his mom.
I know that's not orthodox, but I feel Eric might understand.......
Thanks, Philigumbo. Love your user name, figured you were from Louisiana. You are spot on ! We have been discussing talking to a lawyer about some sort of legal action. Thank you for your input and kind words.Wow...intense reading here. Strong momma Eric has! It sounds to me like Eric's mom and friends are saying LE has led them to believe they pretty much have a circumstantial case but not enough to ensure a conviction. They need more, such as someone to come forward and telling the truth, or Eric's body to be found (hate typing that). I personally don't feel Eric's family and friends have blinders on. I believe they understand the case very well as it has been presented to them by LE. Ever think of filing a wrongful death suit? The parties have to testify under oath. :twocents:
