Identified! MI - Human remains found on Mill Street in Ecorse, Sept 2018 - Alisha McQueen

Kirkwood said a body part, perhaps a hand or arm, was found on Mill Street “by a citizen.”

She said that individual notified Ecorse police and they contacted the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office.

It was confirmed to be from a human and another search was conducted on Aug. 28.

“Again, (Detroit police) assisted in recovering the remaining remains on Sept. 7, along with a (Michigan State Police cadaver dog, Ecorse and the medical examiner,” Kirkwood said.

The sergeant said the remains belong to one person.
Detroit police became involved through its missing person unit and reached out to Ecorse in an attempt to see if the remains belong to one of their cases.

“There may be a possibility that the remains are connected to Detroit; however we are still investigating and have not yet confirm,” Kirkwood said. “At this juncture, Ecorse is the lead. If the remains are in fact connected to Detroit we will provide further assistance in bringing justice and closure to the victim and family. “

Kirkwood said she can’t say much more about the investigation without damaging the integrity of the case.

After maintaining silence on a case involving human remains found on Mill Street in Ecorse, police are providing information, and they believe they can put an identification to the skeletal remains found.

Ecorse Police Det. Tim Sassak said a Wyandotte father was out teaching his son how to ride a go cart on Aug. 28, when the son discovered the bones of a hand.

The father contacted Ecorse police and the hand was taken to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office the following day.
Once it was confirmed to be human, a search of the area was conducted with a cadaver dog from Michigan State Police.

The police dog, Phil, discovered numerous bones, but once they were put together, police realized they didn’t have all of them.

A massive search of the area with Phil was conducted Sept. 7, with MSP and Detroit officers.

Of the 216 bones in the body, police have been able to find 213.

Wait, so they discovered the hand bones and then it wasn't until a week later they went out and searched more?

RIP Alisha

"Currently, he's in jail. He was not supposed to have contact with her. He was on a tether. So, he's in jail right now. He's not speaking. He said he doesn't know where she is. So we're hoping soon he can speak up and tell us where she is. She was with him last," Bonner says. “

Gardener1850 would you please inbox me regarding your statement about Bridget Gallagher? Thank you in advance ☺

Sorry, I don't do private messages. I don't recall this case, but as you can see by the title it has been solved and the UID was not the missing person I suggested. It seems Bridget Gallagher's NAMUS profile has been taken down. That usually means the person was found. I have posted hundreds, perhaps even thousands of missing person links on this website and can't possibly remember details of them all. Sorry, I have no info to share.

Thank you for replying. I was hoping that you may have known her, or someone who may be able to help us find & bring her killer to justice. Yes, she was found & we, her family & friends just found out that they found her a few months after she disappeared. They have had her body all this time! She actually went missing January of 2007. Please if anyone knows anything, or heard anything...reach out & help her loved ones get some closure. We want justice for Bridget!!
