if he drank enough to kill him, perhaps it was a cup of straight alcohol. a "drink" of liquor is like a shot glass size with a mixer.

I wonder if perhaps he got hold of a bottle of a syrupy-sweet liqueur, such as amaretto or some kind of schnapps. That would have a large alcohol content, but taste like liquid candy.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner says they've determined that an 8-year-old boy who was thought to have died from drinking an alcoholic drink, died from an overdose of fentanyl.

According to the Wayne County Medical Examiner, Jamere Arnold died in July due to fentanyl toxicity. His death has been ruled an accident.
