But, Rachel said, Bob eventually restored the texting feature. In 2011, Rachel and Bob made an offer on a home in Grosse Pointe. They put $1,000 down on a home at 1304 Bishop. They looked at a second house but it was next door to one of Bob's good friends, which made Rachel uncomfortable, she said. Bob told her he was going to borrow money from his mother to buy the house. The closing date on their dream house was to be Jan. 27, 2012 – three days after Jane’s murder.

Bob's Email: “I will now stop the lying and hope I can regain your trust. I stand here naked (not really) before you.” Bob's email: “Not having (Jane) in my house …will be a huge rock lifted.” Email: “Good morning. I am sitting here with tears running down my face. I emailed one girl…not to around but to find someone for us.” “I know what I did was hurtful. I did one stupid thing looking for one to join us. You are my slave. I only want you, period. No one else." Bob: “I love you with all your shortcomings.” They began seeking a 3rd person, and made contact with woman in Oregon about a month or two before the murder. Bob flew to Oregon to meet with the woman in mid-Jan. 2012 - right before the murder. “We were going to be gone the day after Christmas. He said this would be his last Christmas with his children (and Jane) in the family home. In December, 2011, they went to S. Carolina for her daughter’s wedding. Bob gave her $$ for wedding expenses.

Judge is asking a ton of questions about their relationship, including why Bob gave her $$, and if she was in the relationship for the $$. Throughout the proceedings various attorneys drift into the courtroom for a few minutes, apparently to hear this testimony. Yesterday, too. Bob called Rachel from Oregon and said he liked Janet Lehmann. “He thought she might work out, but she would have to meet me," Rachel said. Judge: "I thought you said you wanted him to yourself, and that you wanted a traditional relationship. What changed?" Rachel: "He couldn't have a traditional relationship. One of the things he told me was if he had 2 women at home, he wouldn't be on the..."websites." Lindsey: "So you didn't value yourself." Bob told Rachel he preferred her to Jane, "Because I put him on a pedestal." Rachel said she was reluctant to criticize Bob because he often complained Jane criticized him.

[It appears that the judge perhaps is trying to point out to the jury things that might be specific to BDSM.... nope judge... just a narcicistic cheating lying controlling ba*(t*** murdering man with a vulnerable woman he is trying to control... that happens in all relationships and not just bdsm community ... thinking that most of the jurors can see this easily :gaah: hope they can :moo:]

Rachel asked to see divorce papers. “He told me that he had lost his copy (and) when he went to get another copy…his atty was on vacation.” Rachel sent an email to Bob on Jan. 20, 2012. “I wanted to know for sure that he was really divorced," she said. She said she wanted to be sure he was divorced because she was about to put her name on documents. Rachel’s email: “We started our relationship with lies and there have been lies all through it. Why should it be different now? Rachel's voice cracked when she answered Lindsey's question about Bob calling to say Jane was missing. The word "Yes" caught in her throat. She saw Bob between 12 and 1 the day of the murder. Around 9, he called her. “That’s when he told me he came home and found Jane’s work bag, and she wasn't there, and he had started to worry.” She said Bob was "frustrated" because he told her Jane had insisted they get together that night to work on taxes. About 1 am he calls again and tells her “Jane was still missing.” Later, “he started using his mother’s phone.” “He wanted me to contact Janet…and to tell her to stop communicating with him. He wanted to keep the phone lines clear, or clean.” Bob later told her it was because of the investigation. Bob said people were coming to the house to offer condolences. He wanted her to come over, but she didn’t. He also asked Rachel to come to the candlelight vigil, and she went. Bob told her he thought Jane had been carjacked. “He said he thought some ni**ers did it,” Rachel said. Bob told Rachel that she and Janet Lehmannn should lay low during the investigation.
