STANTON, Mich. — Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Lakeview Post are searching for a missing woman from Montcalm County.

Jenna Lynn Evans, a 34-year-old woman from Sheridan, was last seen leaving a residence on East Evergreen Road, near Stanton, on New Year's Eve.

According to her FB , sounds like she may have had some relationship issues. Although she went missing New Years Eve, do we know what time? Could have been early. IMO

That's why I wondered about being on foot. It's pretty dang rural up that way. Would be bs in the dark with people flying around up and down these rural roads. Am somewhat familiar with that area.
Thanks for the update I no longer FB. Hope there's someone taking good care of her kids. Not much info in the msm.
LE doesn't often share much about missing persons in Mi.
Prayers for her to turn up safe and soon and for her kids to be safe and secure

Y’all will have to excuse me on this; I get the whole township term mixed up.
But within the reports, I’ve read:
Sheridan
Stanton
Evergreen Township
Montcalm County

So Jenna is from Sheridan, but was last seen in Stanton?
But then it states she was last seen at her home in Stanton?
Are these different towns or townships?
Are they all within the same county?
my head is spinning a little...

I believe they are all in Montcalm County. Townships are government for those of us not in a city limit. Lots of them here.
I believe Jenna is from Crystal Township originally. Stanton and Sheridan are pretty close together surrounded by lots of rural/ wooded areas and a bunch of Ag property. Lots of families lease there Ag land to be worked and planted by larger farms. Lots of two lane dirt roads, vehicles fly up and down them. Darned dangerous especially at night.
It wasn't clear to me if she left her home or someone else's.
Hope that helps a bit. Can be very odd to people not familiar with Mi. Took me a while LOL

Townships sound like just about every other small, rural area around here. More people live outside the city limits than in them!
I get the whole “rural, dirt road, farmland” scenario. I live in a tiny town, population way less than 500!

Circumstances of Disappearance
Evans was last heard arguing with her boyfriend in their residence. Neighbors overheard and witnessed the fight. The next day, Evans' ID was found in the street and Evans has not been seen or heard from since.

They said some of her things, including her identification and a sock, were found on Pakes Road between Vickeryville and Pine Grove Roads near Loon Lake.
