LE believes the kidnapper is someone she knows, or someone she is acquainted with through work.

Perhaps the abductor is someone who delivers something to the store on an semi-regular basis. If so, perhaps he asked her to help him unload his delivery from the van. The "I hurt my arm, can you help me get the boxes" ploy. Recognizing him from prior deliveries her guard was down, and wanting to get the store closed so she can get home she want's to hurry the late delivery along.

Has anyone noticed that there is another RSO that lives next door to LLL? Google earth on those addresses and there are several vehicles in that area that could look like a minivan. There are several vehicles in backyards as well

If you look at the list for Grand Haven, Michigan, you'll find another youngish man on the list with the same last name 'L'. Nice!

That second pic is the clearest I've seen yet! Thank you

Yes.... And the passenger side still looks like there is a dent in it...

and it looks like the passenger side light in front is broken/not working too...

It took them 36 hours to classify her disappearance as an abduction and it can take a while. There are loads of RSO's and taking time to account for their whereabouts can be a process. It's part of every criminal investigation to look at RSO's so I'm sure they were looking at them early on. Not soon enough though.

"The registry is sorted by zip code, that's what's hardest for us," said Chief Shaw.

But Chief Shaw says investigators are now searching state and even region wide.

Which LE agencies are involved? If state police, FBI and/or US Marshalls are helping, I am sure RSO's are being investigated and have been for a few days now. They probably already know if any of them have access to a gray/silver van.

Probably not an RSO, IMO. Just some local,or semi-local creep. Still, the vehicle should help identify him soon, along with the drawing.

I would hope so, but haven't we read cases before where the police checked out someone but couldn't find them or somehow managed to have the victim without the police finding him/her?

I am losing faith in Muskegon County when I see that a level 3 sex offender, who is on active probation, is registered at an address right by an elementary school.

I don't have much faith in the system across the board.

I had an experience with an RSO who was given break after break after break with people who enabled personally and professionally and institutions who failed and he ended up in a place where nobody knew who the guy was. He went under the radar, moved around and didn't register at his new address. It's easy for these guys to do that. They end up off the map, or on these registries without their vehicles listed, they snake around.

In my case the SO relocated to a new town, unregistered, blended in embedding himself, had his supporters/enablers in the community and ended up murdering a former classmate of mine. He had spent almost 2 decades in prison for raping a little boy and was granted early parole for good behavior because he had pillars of the community vouch for him (they were having inappropriate/questionable relations with him). It was a system failure but so many individuals could have stepped up at any point over the years to prevent this 🤬🤬🤬 from getting out and doing what he did.

People must learn SO's CAN NEVER be rehabilitated and should never be given the chance to walk free in our society again.

Alright, my rant is over. That always gets me going..Sorry.

I'm not sure. If I had to guess, I would say at least 500 feet. That is just a guess, though. However, his address looks too close regardless in my opinion.

Depends on the state but I did a quick google 1,500 feet in MS and 2,000 feet somewhere else (didn't click on link to find out which state) and 1,000 feet in NC.

By now, an updated list should pop up that's provided by the US government that specifies the distances listed for each state. Jeesh!

That is awful. I must say what i have to say though. I have a murderer in my family. He did it under the use of drugs, and was in prison a long time. He was young, and he knows what he did wrong. He is a great person now, and has total remorse and has learned his lesson. So some people do learn and can be rehabilitated. so glad he was given the chance at life again, even though what he did will never be forgotten.

One of the RSOs I just looked at said not within 1000 ft of a school for his probation terms. He is registered 160 ft from an elementary school.

Cleared person of interest in #JessicaHeeringa abduction: "They asked if I took her." http://tinyurl.com/cyx7ehc

Jesse Ammerman, who is a regular customer at the gas station and knows Heeringa well, said he was at the Sternberg Road Exxon Mobil between 10:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday. That would have made him one of the last people to see Heeringa before she disappeared. Heeringa's last transaction of that night was 10:50 p.m. A 911 call reporting the station empty was made at 11:15 p.m.

He said he was called to the police station the night Heeringa disappeared and was questioned as a person of interest.

"They asked if I took her somewhere. They asked if I knew who did," Ammerman said.

He said detectives asked him if Ammerman would just take off.

"She talked so much about her son and about her fiance and I thought, 'There's no way,'" said Ammerman.

Ammerman said he took a polygraph test over the weekend. He is one of four persons of interest who have been cleared in the case.

See, even the local police don't have an efficient system. Nothing is connected together. Global world and each little town within a state has their own records apart from the town next door. Does that make any sense?
Andy of Mayberry meets Jack the Ripper. (I'm not criticizing Chief Shaw, I'm commenting on the weaknesses of our inter and intra state systems throughout the U.S. - JtheR was in London, of course, but it's even easy to jump countries these days).

I couldn't believe it when I pulled up the map and saw the elementary school.
Who is in charge of checking where they live?? If we can Google search it, how hard can that be for them?:banghead:

There is a spot to submit a tip on the offenders page. I did that. I hope someone is checking those.

Also, I notice a large outbuilding behind the house which is completely surrounded by woods or fields. That makes me nervous.

I fully believe people like that should be given a second chance if they have truly changed. Good to know your family member has learned from that and went on to be a upstanding citizen.

I'm sure you saw but you can "Submit a Tip" right on their profiles.

My tip would be-- Parole officers, please enforce the probation terms that are laid out on the state's own website. And get the SO's away from little children. Thanks.

I found the LLL guy's Facebook. It sounds like he's found God and changed his ways.

Oh, well, in that case....j/k.

Hopefully it's true and if so wish him the best of luck may he live a blessed life here on out.
