However we've now learned that before Jessica's disappearance, a silver van was spotted by a worker across the street. He told our investigator that around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, the night Jessica Hearing disappeared, he saw a silver van driving slowly and suspiciously around the building where he worked.
Q: So just to get it correct, the silver van circled around and went down the street and then turned around, faced the Exxon station down the street?
A: That's correct, the witness said he saw the van go down the street and face the Exxon for at least 10 or 15 minutes.

NS PD Chief Daniel Shaw said today that it appeared robbery was not a motive, and that the store's cash drawer was left untouched.
SH said someone saw her daughter "walk out of the store with this guy like there was no problem," but when they got to his van, a struggle ensued.

“I’m sure she was abducted,” Shelly Heeringa said. “(There was) no struggle. She was cleaning a machine, she left her car keys, (and) no money was taken from the gas station.”

"Other people have contacted them from other gas stations about a gray van pulling up to their gas station and just sitting there staring at the girls who are working inside. And then they take off," said Shelly.

Cell phone data crucial to finding Heeringa's alleged abducter 9:04 AM, May 6, 2013 ... but authorities believe cell phone data could be just as important.
If Heeringa had her phone on her, Chief Shaw says they would have been able to track her immediately. But instead, they're trying to track down the suspect's phone, if he has one.
... It didn't take Norton Shores Police long to locate Heeringa's cell phone, left inside the Exxon Mobile Gas Station...
