"Nothing panned out" from the tips about van and suspect. I wonder if this is another way to suggest that the van/suspect may not be relevant or true. But LE isn't saying. I guess they might look kind of dim if they had to announce they were wrong about the van all along, not to mention the "10 out of 10" sketch. JMO

The description of the POI could have been a "ten" for the witnesses who might have been describing someone who is known to them but who isn't in any way connected to Jessica's disappearance. Likewise, the description of a minivan that resembles one driven by a relative of the witnesses was accurate by their account, but that van isn't involved in Jessica's disappearance. :moo:

Evidentally woodTV didn't get the update from Mlive's Heather Lynn Peters that the reward has increased so now it is $17,000.00

"UPDATE: Chief Shaw said the reward is up to $17,000.

Thank you!
Heather"

I am hoping with it being 4 months along, that they would consider doing some searches.
Whether the money is 15 thousand or 17 thousand nobody has spoken up yet.
I wish they would, to bring Jessica home.

IMOO.

"Donations can be made directly to Silent Observer. Those who wish their donation returned if not used should mark it 'Reward for Jessica.'"

I thought this part of the article was interesting too.

It's frustrating because I can't find any updates on the girl who was approached at Lake Harbor Park earlier this month. The description seemed similar to the sketch in Jessica's case.

Just my opinion, but I feel that the cases are unrelated because I feel in Jessica's case, the description is not accurate.
There may have been a van in the area, in Jessica's case, because a van was seen on video, but I think the ball was dropped when all eggs were put in the basket concerning the description of the vehicle and person. That person who took Jessica, in my opinion, got away with it, because Everybody was searching for 2 Bogus things, the descriptions of the vehicle and perp.
Now, if there were individual sketches, that look similar, made from both the husband and wife eye witnesses, and one composite drawing was made from that, it is possible they had a someone or two in mind, so therefore, those 2 eyewitnesses who happen to have been together that night, it would seem that the sketch is legit, right, because their accounts correlate/match, right?
I feel the police department and the public have been lead astray, and the inaccuracies are apparent to me, particularly with the fact that 4 months have now passed and there has been no sighting of Jessica, of said perp and of said vehicle.
Now the question leads to why would there be inaccuracies in the sketch and the vehicle?
IMOO.

I just started reading the post below; the eyewitness gave a suspect description to police that lead to the wrong person being charged for a crime he could not commit.
OH - Christie Lynn Mullins, 14, Murdered in Columbus, 1975

This is my first post on Jessica's threads. I've read her name in passing in other threads, but just recently came to check it out. Over the past week and a half, I've read every single post on all the threads...all six of them :scared: This case baffles me more than most of the others I've followed. Like most others, I have nothing much to add, just wanted to mark my place. I think about Jessica everyday, I hope she's found soon...:please:

Welcome Ashley426! :) :)

I reviewed Lisa Knight's case and surprisingly there is little information about her whereabouts after leaving her ex-husband’s house. No sightings, no tips, no nothing. My gut tells me the case isn’t related to JH. However, the similarities are interesting to consider: JH & LK similar look and size and last seen in relatively small towns in MI near the coast of a great lake and near major highways or routes.

What would the odds be that JH's perp was in Ossineke at that time? At first thought I would think not likely however only a small percentage of people would ever abduct another person so you have to consider they could be linked for that reason alone. Maybe the perp's home base is in the middle of Northern MI where he can travel to each coast to abduct where he won’t be recognized?

Have had great difficulty in finding website today. To buy a search dog to find Jessica is about 5000 to 8000 us dollars. I wonder what the cost of renting one in Michigan would be.
Or even if they can be rented. GOOD wEBSLEUTHING.

Its thursday morning in Norton Shores the weather is clear and in the 60s. Approximately 16,800 followers on social media are active across Michigan for Jessica on computers, attending crime prevention events etc. Friday it will rain again. Keep the tips coming in to Chief Shaw yours may be the one he needs. Good websleuthing.

Most search and rescue groups do not charge families but they have to have a specific area to search, IMO, like the groups that tried to help find Dylan Redwine. They came to work specific areas. Where would the search for Jessica even begin, after four months? JMO

Whether Jessica is alive or deceased, after 4 months, she could be practically anywhere. How would an organized search team know where to start looking for the missing young woman? If Jessica is still alive, she either doesn't want to be found or she has not found a way to escape from her captor(s). If deceased, Jessica's remains would likely be stumbled upon by hikers or hunters. At this juncture, organized searches seem futile unless there is evidence of a generalized direction or location where Jessica might have been taken. :moo:

I agree. Unless someone starts talking (unlikely, given what we've seen so far) and gives an idea of where to look, it's basically a needle in a haystack situation. There's no way any organised search will take place without further developments first, the time for that has been and gone, IMO.

I personally believe she's deceased and I think there'll only be some movement when someone is unfortunate enough to stumble across her remains.

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - A gruesome discovery in West Bloomfield has investigators working to identify a body. The body was found in a pond by a nearby resident.

:please:

Bloomfield is hours away from Norton Shores. The body is reportedly a young woman who has not been identified.

That city name struck a cord with me because that's where the guy who was the last to see Lauren Spierer lives...

I hope it's not Jessica. I doubt it is since it's hours away though.
