All quite interesting, squirrel. Thanks for the info. Either I did not read this before (about the clothing) or just glossed over it.

I think whatever happened occured within the week of her death. Whether it was JT or someone else.

That's a tough call for me to pinpoint it within a week. My reasons are with JT it could very well be something that stemmed over the years or within the last few months. Unknown person I would agree that the possibility of within a week would be more likely. Knowing what Julie and JT did within that last week could shed help some light on it. Who did she see or interact with? How often did she see JT in that week? So much still unknown and the questions are endless. I like your thought on the week timeline is interesting. Certainly makes you wonder what happened to trigger the end result.

Ohh, I think it very likely was years in the making but something happened in the last week that ultimately lit the fuse.

I am still mauling over the (physical) evidence...

The gloves: Profilers believed the gloves were staged. I agree. Criminals are often stupid, and might leave behind evidence. In this case, the gloves were in front of the bathroom door. The perp
could not have overlooked it while he (or she) was leaving the apartment. In fact, the placement of the gloves in front of the bathroom door would be so obvious, that I wonder if it was a staged staging...
Suppose that the glove has a good DNA sample from person X, and a weak DNA sample from person Y. Then person Z, the murderer, could have placed it there so that it would look like Y is the perpetrator trying to make it look like person X did it. Perhaps unlikely, but it might be a good plot for a crime novel :)

The crime scene: Although semen was found, there may not have been a sexual assault. The clothes were cutoff which suggests to me that they were removed when Julia was no longer conscious. This seem to have happened in the bathroom since some clothes were on the ground there. If there was a sexual assault it most likely would have been in the bedroom. But it seems that she had her clothes on until she got to the bathroom.

The semen: There are several possibilities. Jennifer said that Julia was seeing someone who had a vasectomy. That would explain the semen. The semen wouldn't implicate anyone in that case. Or the semen came from JT. It might not prove that he is the killer, but surely would make him a suspect because this would suggest at least an improper relationship. But the semen could also have been planted there by the perpetrator.

:goodpost: Thank you for that insight and information. I'm going to toss in my thoughts as well.

The gloves are interesting. It appears they went to great lengths to ensure those gloves were found. The dangling carrot to lead them down the wrong path for the killer to buy more time to cover tracks. This shows a very shrewd individual in their planning in my opinion.

The crime scene I agree with it not being clear if there was a sexual attack or not. What was the purpose of the bathroom still haunts me. It's interesting that the clothes were found on the floor and taken but the rug was overlooked. I agree with you that this appears to an error on LE part originally as I overlooked this aspect. But I do question who took the rug...well, we have been down that path. :shush:

The semen part is strange because my first thought was how did the twin know that? Personally it just seems as an odd thing to tell your sister or twin about someone you are seeing. I could be wrong but not anything I would share so it's only my opinion. Now using the theory on planting another male's semen, here is one. The man she is seeing used a condom recently and the killer knew she had not thrown it out yet so they used that to plant as evidence. Okay, that was pretty wild speculation...but it could work.

Since there are two people now who had a vasectomy that Julie interacted with that brings up the question is why hasn't the other man been named POI or has he been cleared? We know some of his medical history :blushing:...so has LE spoken to this individual?

Yes, that makes sense. Thank you!

I think I remember correctly that the person Julia had a date with was interviewed and cleared.

A person with a vasectomy is likely to be heterosexual. So it probably would have been easier for a woman than for a man to get the semen from then donor. A person with a vasectomy is less likely to use a condom, unless he is not with his regular partner. The probability that a random man has a vasectomy is about 10%. But this probability could be higher if it is a older married man that had been seduced to a one-night stand for example.

First of all, condolences to Julia's loved ones. I can't imagine how painful this all is for everyone involved and I apologize in advance if my speculations about sexual activity/semen etc. add to that. I'll put this out there though in the interest of trying to brainstorm on this a little more though:

If the glove/semen was planted, I think Black Squirrel has started an interesting discussion around this. *If* it was planted, and *if* the semen came from a donor with a vasectomy, I think that can be explained by thinking about where a used condom would most easily be found. Everywhere I've lived there's been areas known for having discarded condoms- usually an out of the way parking lot or other place frequented by prostitutes or people having "car dates". Condoms aren't used solely for birth control, especially in these situations. Just throwing it out there, since I could probably walk out my door right now and within less than an hour of searching the ground arrive back home with two or three discarded ones. ((shudder))

I am not sure if a condom from such a location would work. There would be no way to tell how long it had been there. I am not sure, but I think that investigators would notice of the semen wasn't "fresh".

I have been pretty much just lurking but I have been keeping up with this and my feelings for a while now is that maybe something was talked about at the lunch with the sisters.. For instance since she had talked about past inappropriate activity from JT torwards her was she concerned about her little sister? Did she maybe pull her to the side and just came out and asked her if he had done anything to her?? Maybe little sis confided in her OR maybe Julie could tell from her reaction that something happened and Julie was going to get him to stop and protect her sis. I wonder if during that phone call did Julie threaten him that she was not going to stay silent anymore.... So he made sure she wasn't able to go public... Just my thoughts with no facts to back it up..

Welcome, RosemkuntGAL! Good thinking, although if Julia had told twin sis, why would she be so strongly supporting JT now, both in innocence of her death and the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges? I think it highly likely Julia was concerned for the youngest sister, if she had been sexually abused or molested, or the victim of sexual inappropriateness in any form. If JT had anything to do with her death, I think it is because of what she knew and he wanted to shut her up. If he had nothing to do with it, I do not understand the lack of cooperation from him and the immediate family.

I'm not sure on the twin side of it. I'm mainly thinking about her trying to protect her little sister. What worse news could JT get besides Julie finally coming out with the truth..

WEBSLEUTHS POST OF THE DAY THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 17

Before I get into anything else we all have to stop and take in the latest Websleuths Post of the Day.

Julia Niswender's grandfather is a member of Websleuths. Julia was murdered in 2012 and no one has been charged.

Here is the nomination from ModMaiden

ModMaiden said: This poem was written by Trojan1966 in memory of his granddaughter Julie Niswender. It is very touching as you can see how great his love for her is including how deeply he misses her.

"I woke up early this morning, Julia was on my mind and I wrote the following that I thought I'd share....................

Justice For Julia

I've had a hard time sleeping as Julia's always on my mind,
I know she's up in Heaven watching over all that I find.
She looks at me and smiles and says that everything will be OK,
"Oh Grandpa" she says "don't worry, we'll be together one day."
Someday we'll solve this mystery and I know it may not be fun,
But I'll really not be able to rest, until Justice for Julia is done.
So I'll press onward and "digging" as I have always been doing,
In hopes of catching that terrible person we're all pursuing.
I loved my granddaughter Julie and we'll meet again someday,
She'll give me a big kiss and huge hug as "Oh Grandpa" she will say.

Congrats to Trojan1966! Really, this post could win 'post of the year' in my book. 'Justice for Julia' is heartfelt, honest and it touches at the soul level in a way words alone rarely do.

This is a good theory. It sure would be nice to know exactly what the phone call between JT and Julia was all about.

It most certainly would. I think the answer is in that phone call.

Personal Note: I'd like to say thanks to everyone concerning their nice comments about my poem as well as WebSleuths for selecting it as the post of the day. I appreciate all the help everyone here has been. The new "theories" and other viewpoints have given me hope that the person will be caught soon. I do know that my family sees everything posted on this site but they will not join as members - why? I don't know. It would not surprise me a bit that someone is also keeping JT informed as to what has been said on this site. At this point, I really don't care who sees what, as my focus and goal is to have Justice for Julia. I do realize that once someone is arrested and charged with her murder, it may take a year before the trial would start. Rest assured, when that day comes, I'll be in court each and everyday until the end. Nothing will ever bring my Julia back but solving her murder may help the family have more closure than we have right now. Thanks for all your support. My entire family, my wife and I truly appreciate all that you have done and will do in the future.

I did my own FOIA requests and received it in the mail yesterday. It answers some of the questions I have. There are
various statements regarding JT's alibi. Here are some relevant facts:

Jennifer stated that on 12/9 they her parents and her sister went to bed at 10:30pm, and that JT left for work at 7:30 on Monday morning
and she was certain that JT picked up the employee ADG on his way to work.

Kim stated that she and her husband went to bed around 10pm, and that JT left for work at 7:15am and probably picked up a co-worker ADG.

Grandma Rose stated that Julia was scheduled to work with JT on Monday Morning.

AG, Julias roommate, briefly entered the apartment on her way to school. The alarm in Julia's room was going off. This was around 7:45-8am.

JC (described as Julia's maternal aunt - is she a daughter of Rose from a different marriage/relationship?) said that Julia visited her the week prior to her death.
(I presume they mean around December 1). According to her, Julia was scheduled to work on 12/10 at 6am.

If Jennifer and Kim are speaking the truth, then JT has a clear alibi. An important question is whether Julia was scheduled to work for JT on 12/10 or not.
She was also scheduled to work at Walmart and intended to go to a party that evening. That sure would have been a busy day, but possible.
However, I would imagine that Julia would have set the alarm around 5am or so. But it was going off around 7:45. Usually, alarm clocks don't beep for more than an hour
or so. So I am questioning if she really could have been scheduled to work at 6am.

Has police talked to ADG? Did she confirm the statements of Jennifer and Kim?
