I live in the area. This whole thing has been absolutely horrendous! The mother is trash, and yes, grandma knew that there were predators around Neveah. They both should be charged with neglect.
They've released that the fisherman that found the body also said a day or two after her kidnapping, he noticed a small dark pick up parked on the road by the spot as he went by there everyday.
This area is really remote. It wasn't a well travelled fishing spot, the area is rather small that you could stand there on the bank and fish, so I don't think it was real common for people to go there. The fisherman that found her happened to know of the spot because of him driving by there everyday.
I also wonder with all the comments about dragging the body, cement, etc. down the incline, why hasn't anyone considered that he took her there by boat? Talk about silently leaving a body..that would be the way to do it. Absolutely no one would see you. Has anyone addressed this yet? The water at the bank is approx. 3-4 feet deep, plenty of depth to take a small boat in. I'm loathe to say it, but since there were no marks on her body, he could have drowned her there and hurriedly buried her. Especially since it appears she was killed pretty quickly after being taken. And with the half burned latex glove...he was thinking. This isn't something he thought up on the quick. He planned this. And I agree he must be local, if not from Monroe, from the surrounding area. Alot of people from Toledo go to monroe to fish. Alot.
I think the quikset didn't set up right because it was to wet. The fisherman was actually standing on the slab of quickset (he cried when saying that he can't sleep at night knowing he was standing on her little body) with his fishing rods (2) leaning against the two rocks. That's why he was able to chip away so to speak at the concrete, because he said it didn't feel right.. It was "giving" under his feet instead of being a solid slab and it got him to thinking, "Something's not right with this" so he started to chip away at it to see what was underneath.
I can't stand to see that piece of trash mother and grandmother on TV with their crocodile tears...the only one I feel sorry for is the real dad who Michigan said couldn't have custody when mommy went to prison because she had a grandmother in Michigan as next of kin. Michigan has always been extremely prejudiced against "Toledo" (where I live) and I can absolutely see that happening. Once I heard mommy on the radio saying "Just because he offended, doesn't mean he's going to do it again, " "He's a father figure to her" and "Anyone can be an offender, I have no problem with him being an offender" and those are basically direct quotes, once I heard that I knew Neveah was lost to us forever. A cat would have been a better mother to her! Ugh! I just am completely raged out at the mother and grandmother! They may as well just have handed over the little soul to whoever did it.
The 2 hour response time is HIDEOUS. Absolutely NO excuse! Especially in lieu of what was going on...has anyone responded to that?
I know I'm ranting, I can't help it!
I'm also ticked off that an Amber Alert did not go out until the next day..why was that?
