Is this 30 min supposedly when he was helping to search for Nevaeh? That was way quick for him to lose hope.

How far is the Kmart from the place she was found?

In that interview she doesn't say a word about any searching, any phone calls, nothing. She says they woke up together that morning at her place, were together all day, he left for 30 minutes to give a friend a ride, came right back to her place and 10pm Roy Smith came and picked them up to take them to the motel, when they got there the police were waiting.

It doesn't make sense at all, but at a minimum according to her from 8pm to 10pm they were at her place.

The upstairs neighbor says she last saw Nevaeh leaving the neighbor's apartment with her mom, headed to go shopping at 3:30/3:45 pm. The next thing any source outside of JB knows of Nevaeh, her mother is reporting her missing at 6:30 pm.

Are there other witnesses, besides the two children, who saw Nevaeh between 3:30 and 6:30?

Was GK supposedly "fishing" that afternoon? (Shades of Scott Peterson!)

Any links to the answers?

Thanks Steadfast. I tried a timeline yesterday. It’s post #316 here http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84921&page=13

There is at least one link that you may not have on it. Thank you for putting this detailed timeline together. I lost patience completely trying to do one yesterday.

I do have a indirect source that talks about the Kmart http://beaconhe
ll.com/b/blog/?p=1384

Mentions that Jennifer , her friend, Nevaeh all walked to Kmart earlier that day… I have no idea where they go their info, though.

I really don't understand why JB calls George right away, after she is unable to locate Nevaeh. Could it be that she immediately thought he might have her and if so, had he ever taken her before without notifying them, or did she automatically make the SO/missing child connection ? She did call George before she called LE, right ?
I can't see her immediately thinking he was a suspect when she didn't seem concerned before, and called him a 'father figure' to Nevaeh. I thought she called him after calling LE, but who knows at this point with the conflicting timeline. MOO

So is it possible that Roy S. is really the one who took her and the reason everything seems to aim at GK is because Roy spent a lot of time with him? He is the one with his nephew's van and he could have been the one to steal the cement. He doesn't show up until 10:00pm to give them a ride. His alibi of mowing lawns would only take care of the afternoon and not that night.

As soon as they do a DNA test on any evidence found on/in her body, they will have their proof. Fingerprints can also be taken off a body.

How did it happen that GK had a vehicle at 8:30 and was able to give a friend a ride, but he didn't have a vehicle at 10:00 when he and Savannah returned to the motel? Where did it go?

Found a weird post on the link below, it was posted on May 28 @ 22:57 by someone using the screen name "Holly". It is probably nothing, but this person mentions Nevaeh possibly being near the Raisin River among a few other places. Now that we know where she was found, I thought it a weird comment to be making on May 28th, either that or this is a good guesser. The post is about half or three-fourths down the page under the section titled, Amber Alert: News 11 obtains disturbing search warrant.

Well now, he's the father figure, remember? Of course Daddy George must be informed right away...
It's possible that she suspected him. Or maybe she wanted to warn him to hide the drugs or the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 before LE arrives. Come to think of it, her calling him enabled him to do that whether she intended it or not. Left the bloody clothes though.

Is it true that they found photographs of Nevaeh in that motel room? I read somewhere that they found pics of a white female similar to Nevaeh and I'm not sure what to make of it.

"She said she called Kennedy about 8 p.m. Sunday to tell him the police wanted to talk to him."

So, she must have already called the police. Of course, her mixed up narrative about what happened can't be trusted at all.

Maybe I'm way off here, but even though both these guys are RSO, neither one of them was convicted of molesting a child around Nevaeh's age. I'm wondering if there's another one in the area, maybe someone who GK knows. that fits better? Another thing is RS is a huge guy and I can't see him having any agility on a steep embankment. Your thoughts?? :waitasec: MOO
In RS mother's video she mentioned his victim was 24 years old. She also said he got 15 years because they declared him to be "habitual". This means he had other convictions, yes?

So Savannah has her own place and GK has a room at motel 7. With a 30 minute absence. Smith comes over at 10PM, GK and mama are failing polys. The cast of characters builds, I'm assuming someone called GK for a ride. I thought GK went out searching, to Nevaehs pre-school and someplace else.

Reporter:
She is an alibi for George Kennedy.
His girlfriend Savannah Gray.
And she say Kennedy was with her almost the entire day five year old Neveah Buchanan disappeared.

Savannah:
"all day, until 7:30"

My comment- pause between until and 7:30 said as a question with a shrug of the shoulders

Reporter:
Kennedy is a person of interest in the disappearance.
Savannah says she woke up with Kennedy Sunday morning at her home in Monroe and she was with him until 7:30 Sunday night when he left for just 30 minutes to give a friend a ride.

Little Neveah disappeared around 6:15.

So do you think he had anything to do with it or impossible?

Savannah:
Umm, no, I do not think he did, he didn't seem like he was that type of guy to do anything like that, so

Reporter:
And he was with you?

Savannah:
Yeah he was with me.

Reporter:
As for the bloody shorts and towel found in Kennedy's motel room, Savannah says the blood is hers. And the bloody multi tool found inside the van Kennedy was driving?

Savannah:
"he uses it for fishing and I know what one, I know what knife you are talking about, I know what you are talking about"

Reporter:
And the blood?

Savannah:
"Yeah, it is his blood or it has to be a fish's guts"

Reporter:
When George Kennedy came back to her home around 8pm it was none other than Roy Lee Smith who came by later that night around 10 o'clock because the couple needed a ride back to Kennedy's motel. Smith is a second person of interest in the Neveah disapperance.

When Smith dropped them off police were waiting at the motel with questions.

Savannah:
"They were saying, like, me and George had something to do with it. And I was, like, no, I wouldn't never have nothing to do with nothing, something like that"

"I would wish I'd never met that guy actually if he something to do with it. It was, it was scary."

Reporter:
But you think he couldn't have had anything to do with it?

Savannah:
"He coudn't have. I was with him that day."

Reporter:
Savannah says police brought both her and Kennedy to jail for questioning.
She was released at about 3:30 Monday morning.
But he has remained in custody on a parole violation.

Based on her actions and words, I can't see her making a SO/missing child connection either..I may have it wrong, but I thought her first call was to George and then she called LE later. Then she told George after talking to LE that they wanted to talk to him...?

Did anyone else read that article where the children that were playing with Nevaeh that day had said that she was called into the woods by "daddy george" and the other kid said that some man took her too???? which is leading me to think it was definitely the so that took her, did anyone else read that article and has there been any further info about the child witnesses description? that is the only article where i saw that being said....

Does anyone have a link to George's story of what he did that day? Doesn't it include going fishing with someone?

This is the most detailed GK interview I have seen.

http://www.freep.com/article/20090604/NEWS05/90604026/Sex+offender++I+didn+t+kill+Nevaeh Detroit free press says:

George Kennedy, 39, who is being held on a parole violation, said he was fishing with another woman when Nevaeh’s mother called him distraught, according to the Toledo Blade.

He said he and the other woman helped Jennifer Buchanan search for Nevaeh after the kindergartner disappeared May 24 while riding her scooter around her apartment complex. He said they checked outside her preschool and around the complex.

"I didn't take her and I definitely didn't kill her," he said to the paper.
He said Nevaeh’s mother called him again to tell him investigators wanted to interview him at the motel where he was staying, because he was a convicted sex offender.

Why does she say "Another question is why would he cut her hair, unless he did it to disquise her or just to torment"? Has someone said her hair was cut? I seem to recall they found hair in the sink of GK's motel room but it wasn't Nevaeh's, or was it? It might be a bit difficult to find a sink with no hair in it.

She called Kennedy at 8 saying LE wanted to talk to him. The 911 call was at 8:15. Even if she was mistaken about what time she called Kennedy, how would she know that quickly that they wanted to talk to him? Did the 911 operator ask her on the telephone if she had any friends who were SO's?

They found her cut hair at the site.

That is very odd.
Have you sent that to the detectives?
They might want to see the IP address.

So if Savannah was home the whole time, who is the other woman GK helped to search with?

It's a red flag to me that JB called him, whatever the purpose was. Unless LE told her to call, I can think of no acceptable reason to for a missing child's mother to warn a possible suspect RSO that LE is on to them and tell him where not to go if they want to avoid LE.

Thank you very much. That answers the question in my last post - there were two calls to Kennedy, one before the 911 call and one later, after LE arrived.

Obviously both stories, Kennedy's and Savannah's, can't be true since they contradict each other. I'm going to try to find the article I read about two people providing an alibi for Kennedy, covering the time from 4 to 7pm.
