Why does she say "Another question is why would he cut her hair, unless he did it to disquise her or just to torment"? Has someone said her hair was cut? I seem to recall they found hair in the sink of GK's motel room but it wasn't Nevaeh's, or was it? It might be a bit difficult to find a sink with no hair in it.

I know, the day she was found, it was said they found a clump of her hair near the remains...

I haven't heard that her hair was cut, but if it was than this person definitely needs to be talked to.

On a side note Holly Gray graduated from Monroe MI in 1989.
The age doesn't seem to match, but it is an odd coincidence no?

Did anyone else read that article where the children that were playing with Nevaeh that day had said that she was called into the woods by "daddy george" and the other kid said that some man took her too???? which is leading me to think it was definitely the so that took her, did anyone else read that article and has there been any further info about the child witnesses description? that is the only article where i saw that being said....

The child's story was apparently false.

In that interview she doesn't say a word about any searching, any phone calls, nothing. She says they woke up together that morning at her place, were together all day, he left for 30 minutes to give a friend a ride, came right back to her place and 10pm Roy Smith came and picked them up to take them to the motel, when they got there the police were waiting.

It doesn't make sense at all, but at a minimum according to her from 8pm to 10pm they were at her place.

The girlfriend and boyfriend's stories don't even match. She was home with him, he was out searching for Nevaeh with her.

MONROE — After getting a phone call from distraught Jennifer Buchanan telling him that her daughter, Nevaeh, was missing, George Kennedy said he immediately went to the girl's North Macomb Street neighborhood to look for the 5-year-old.

Kennedy, 39, who was taken into custody on unrelated charges the night Nevaeh disappeared, told The Blade Wednesday that he drove with his girlfriend, Savannah Gray, to the child's preschool on Riverview Avenue, near her home in Charlotte Arms apartments, and then went to Greenwood Apartments to continue the search.

'I figured maybe she was back there playing. Savannah went one way and I went another way,' said Kennedy, who has been locked up on an unrelated parole violation in the Monroe County jail since May 24, when Nevaeh went missing. '"We went to certain areas that I thought she could be."

After a security guard told him that police had been at the apartments looking for her, Kennedy said Nevaeh's mother reached him on his cell phone to tell him that sheriff's deputies wanted to talk to him about the missing girl because they learned he was a convicted sex offender.

In an exclusive interview with The Blade, Kennedy said he wasted no time in returning to his Motel 7 room on South Dixie Highway, where he met his parole officer and sheriff's detectives, who put him in handcuffs and took him to the jail.

Found a weird post on the link below, it was posted on May 28 @ 22:57 by someone using the screen name "Holly". It is probably nothing, but this person mentions Nevaeh possibly being near the Raisin River among a few other places. Now that we know where she was found, I thought it a weird comment to be making on May 28th, either that or this is a good guesser. The post is about half or three-fourths down the page under the section titled, Amber Alert: News 11 obtains disturbing search warrant.

It is interesting. The poster didn't say Nevaeh was near the river, but GK probably would place her in an unpopulated area instead of the quarry they had searched.

The poster made a mention of Nevaeh's hair being cut? Have we heard anything to that effect?

I really don't understand why JB calls George right away, after she is unable to locate Nevaeh. Could it be that she immediately thought he might have her and if so, had he ever taken her before without notifying them, or did she automatically make the SO/missing child connection ? She did call George before she called LE, right ?

This has puzzled me, too. In fact, in the interview of Savannah, Savannah states clearly that George was with all day her until 7:30 pm and then he only left for one half hour to give a friend a ride? This interview says that Nevaeh went missing at 6:15

8 pm he returned to Savannah's house. Then at 10 pm Roy Lee Smith gave them a ride to the Motel because the police asked to speak to both of them.

I think so and I rarely think anything found online should be sent in. That one is very odd.

She knew the location.
She may have known about the hair.
And there is a Holly Gray in Monroe MI.
Maybe it is Savannah's mother or Aunt's name?

As for the hair, the person assumed that the hairs that were found in Kennedy's sink were Nevaeh's which would mean he'd cut her hair. There have been no reports of Nevaeh's hair being short when she was found.

Despite a search warrant that says an 8-year-old boy saw a man stab his playmate Nevaeh Buchanan in woods, the boy saw nothing, his mother said.

“She left our house at 3:30, 3:45,” said Austin Kuhn's mother, Crystal Kuhn, 33, who lives a floor up from Nevaeh’s apartment. “They had to go to the store.”

The two children had played inside the boy’s apartment most of the afternoon, then Nevaeh left with her mother, Jennifer Buchanan, Kuhn said.

At the risk of getting myself into trouble, I speculated about the possibility of someone pouring dry Quik-Crete and river water over the body before that information was released. I'm expecting LE to show up at my door any second.

6:30 PM JB notices Nevaeha missing
6:00 - 7:00 Green van seen at neighboring school
6:30 -8:00 PM (between) Mother first calls George Kennedy? then calls 911?
8:15 PM Amber Alert is issued

My own questions:

So can we assume that Nevaeh is scooter riding between 3:45 and 6:30 pm, or earlier? If the scooter is parked at a corner of the building, would not that mean that Nevaeh parked it? If she was snatched by a stranger, the scooter would not be parked. I don't believe JB is a credible source, as she has evidently lied to LE according to some reports. Could Nevaeh have been riding it earlier, before the meal?

I also question these neighbors, to include the father of Austin. I am confused by Austin's family in general. His father, Aaron Baker and his ex Krystal Kuhn both live in the same building as the Buchanans? I also looked at the MySpace pages that Momtective pointed out in the 3rd thread last night: (Aaron, Joanne (his gf?), and Angela (his 13 year old daughter who says she is 16). I notice that Krystal (Da Feisty One) is actually the mother of Austin (8) and Angela (13). I also noticed that Angela (13) is MS friends with her Krystal and Joanne, but not Aaron, and she is "hateing her family" as of yesterday. Strange dynamic, indeed.

Other than JB, Austin's family seem to be the last adults to state that they saw Nevaeh that day.

Something is fishy about this timeline and the cast of characters, or maybe I have made some mistakes trying to fish out information from the swamp of reports out there?
