Despite a search warrant that says an 8-year-old boy saw a man stab his playmate Nevaeh Buchanan in woods, the boy saw nothing, his mother said.

“She left our house at 3:30, 3:45,” said Austin Kuhn's mother, Crystal Kuhn, 33, who lives a floor up from Nevaeh’s apartment. “They had to go to the store.”

The two children had played inside the boy’s apartment most of the afternoon, then Nevaeh left with her mother, Jennifer Buchanan, Kuhn said.

thank you ss that clears up a lot for me. Im wondering if they polyd Savannah, that would clear up her alibi, did you hear if they polyd her? I am unsure as to why if george was guilty he would return so quickly to the site and help search for her himself, maybe not to look guilty? but I just cant see a guy molesting and killing a child when the first person le would suspect would be him??? he would have to be a blooming idiot to do that! but then again who in their right mind would do this crap in the first place...

In RS mother's video she mentioned his victim was 24 years old. She also said he got 15 years because they declared him to be "habitual". This means he had other convictions, yes?

Very interesting clip.
They said that they are waiting for a time of death and that several POI's have alibi's for the window she was reported missing in BUT if the time of death is hours earlier than they will be comparing phone records.

This is very in keeping with several of the theories here.

This is going to hinge very tightly on stomach contents in my opinion. They have a credible statement from two independent adults in the investigation who were very clear that they fed her lunch right before she left at 3:30 with her mother.

My question is even if the blood was not his or savannahs it could have been anyone that stayed in the motel (assuming the blood was hidden and brought out by luminol) and also there were no trauma marks on the body that was found, so how could that have been nevaehs blood, unless I guess it came from nose bleeding or something, well I guess we will no soon enough from the autopsy if they release those details, I really dont want to know Im ready to k*&^ the sob that did this to that child!!!

The latest person of interest is Roy Lee Smith, 48, who was released from prison last year after serving 15 years for multiple criminal sexual misconduct convictions, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections Web site. Other convictions include mulitple counts of larceny.

Or if she was severely raped, unfortunately.

LE stating there was no trauma evident only means she was not stabbed or shot. It doesn't mean there isn't trauma on the body at all. She could still have cuts, bruises, etc....but they were not the cause of her death.

Hmmm...sure does keep him high on the suspect list. It also indicates he could be the one to steal the cement since he is a convicted thief.

I wonder if Smith had a key to GK's room? If GK was at Savannah's house all day until they went back to the room at 10:00pm, why couldn't RS have been at the motel?

The registered sex offender who many believe is a prime suspect in the disappearance of 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan has two solid alibis who told investigators that he was with them at the time the girl vanished, sources told The Evening News.
George Kennedy, 39, is in the Monroe County jail on a probation violation. He was not referred to as a suspect by police hierarchy but instead was called a person of interest.
It now appears that it he might not be involved with the girl's abduction. In fact, two other people who were considered persons of interest in the case have been cleared.
"We're back to square one," the source said.
According to those close to the investigation, Nevaeh came up missing from the parking lot of her apartment at Charlotte Arms between 6 and 6:15 p.m. Two people said Mr. Kennedy was with them between 4 and 7 p.m. They also passed polygraph tests.

That's true SS. Remember when they found Sandra and said no obvious trauma? When it is reported like that in the media it can be confusing.

Here is my take on it, the initial cursory look at the deceased body indicates no obvious wounds.

Of course that may change once the ME has time to do a complete autopsy.

Yup. I mentioned this right after I heard that statement! We are thinking on the same wavelength for that one.

Nevaeh is totally unaccounted for from 3:30 to 8:15. GK has a credible alibi (receipts, at inmate facility, etc.) only from 7:15 on. No witness has been produced to us to account for JB for any of that time. What about the other POI?
