I knew that there had to be something of interest about Holly H. (note to those that do not recognize the name~ she is the friend of JB that claims to have been with JB since the beginning, she has given statements to the press and she appeared on NG with JB and spoke afterwards to media as well)

Let me preface...I do not consider her a suspect or POI. However, to get the big picture of Nevaeh's environment and her Mother's friends, I think we do need to consider her and if she fits into the picture.

I'm just posting this because:

1. She has put herself out there in the media and on national TV.

2. It may or may not be of consequence and if it is ...it's here.

(This was a booger to find too!)

page 49 of 54 Toledo Blade article dated : 26 JUNE 1997

Listed under Sentencings:

Holly H. 23 of 2840 North Monroe, false pretenses over 100.00. One year jail. Four years probation. $900.00 fine and costs.

(might just be a bad check?)

Anyway, I thought I'd bring it here. It's of no significance at this point in time.

Are you going to go Scarlett?

I thought about it. If I go, it will have to be tomorrow. I don't know if I can handle seeing her, though. That seems a silly thing to say, since I didn't know her. I have buried my little brother (adult little brother) so it shouldn't be that hard. But i have never been to the funeral of a child.

Something I got to wondering this morning:

So far in this case JB has given umpteen varying accounts of what happened until Nevaeh disappeared, but she knew exactly what clothes she was wearing? The same clothes Nevaeh supposedly had just changed into before she left, that she probably would have only seen for a couple of minutes?

I'm not sure where to go with this from here, but it struck me as odd.

If you go Scarlett, please whisper an "I love you" from all of us at WS who have worked on her case. She is loved you know... by so many who never knew her when she was alive. TIA

While I know it isn't the same, I have been to a funeral for an infant. It is something that has haunted me for almost 10 years, and I imagine will continue to stay with me for a good while longer.

BBM

What what? I thought this poor baby was too decomposed for her own family to id her? How would they manage a viewing?

IMO, 'viewing' would not mean actual viewing. It is a word that is used.

True, LaLaw. I just always associate viewing with an open casket. But you are absolutely right. Viewing really just means wake.

Hi ~ Glad to be part of this Community Here's an article from today throwing something new in the mix... (sorry if this is already posted, although I've not seen it). The way you folks sleuth, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see you very quickly find every black Sunfire or Saturn registered in Monroe :) Of course, everything "reported" so far has also proven to not be necessarily true, but it's new information, and that seems to be coming far and few between.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman came to the lobby of the Monroe County Jail on Tuesday morning to report that on May 24, a few hours after Nevaeh was last seen, she and her fiancé helped extract a car that was stuck in the mud on the bank of the River Raisin, near where the body was found.

"We were headed to my dad's house when two guys flagged us down," said Lisa Tibai of Monroe.

The two men were in their 20s or 30s, Tibai said. "They had a little black car; it was either a Sunfire or a Saturn," she said.

One of the men had large gaps between his teeth, she said.

Tibai said the incident has been bothering her. "They found the little girl right near the spot where we pulled (the two men) out," she said. "I keep thinking maybe we helped out the people who took (Nevaeh).

"I have a 4-year-old daughter myself, and I don't know what I'd do if something like that happened to her."

Hopefully those two guys will come forward now that this has hit the news. Even if they're not involved, they may have seen something.

Chilly, are you thinking that LE allowed this info out so these two men would come forward or someone would at least name the guy with the bad teeth who would have access to a car like that. It is like LE is allowing a little plum to be thrown out there on purpose since almost nothing else has been released to the public.

It is pretty coincidental, isn't it, that it was within a few hours of her going missing and quite close to where she was found.

I also wonder if

I don't know, Scandi. I wish they'd been more specific about where, exactly, this car was stuck. Was it at the spot someone would park if they were going to walk down to the site where Nevaeh's body was found, or just someplace 'near' there. 'Near' can mean different things to different people.

It is coincidential, but then, coincidential does not necessarily mean related. Almost anything can be considered a coincidence in retrospect.

This article makes me want to string up most still living relatives of Nevaeh's. I hadn't seen the quote from the great aunt. It seems that everyone knew Jennifer was putting her daughter in harm's way and no one cared enough to do anything about it.

I could vomit.

It just floors me and I know it shouldn't, but I am dumbfounded everytime an adult in one of these cases says I warned him, I heard this, I saw that, and act like they are somehow standing up for the victim now that it is too late. I don't get it.

If I had a vicious dog, one that had already bit someone, one that I had been told was likely to bite again, and with total reckless disregard for those around me decided I wanted to give the dog a second chance, I would be charged when the inevitable attack happened. And if it was my child that was mauled to death by this dog? Please.....

I'm surprised that LE released little Naveah's body so quick for burial.
LE must have everything they need for forensics............RIP baby girl......

Good evening! :seeya: Your example reminds me of the case in San Francisco a few years ago where the dog owners were held responsible for the death of someone the dogs attacked. Yes, it is so true! I just can see how a mother can knowingly expose her daughter to these RSOs and the family defend it. MOO

the link above says that it is a closed casket funeral

ETA: She is going to be buried in the same cemetery as my brother
