Nevaeh's death is screaming a message to all of us.
The laws suck.
I think SO's need to come under Federal Law. States just aren't doing their job.

This is not going to turn out to be Smith or Kennedy. If it were, they wouldn't have sent them on to parole violationland.

I wonder if the guys stuck in the mud are guilty of this? With a description of the car surely LE can link it to having been seen at the apt complex of course if they had anything to do with this.

Yes, I would think they would keep them in the local jail for questioning instead of sending them back to prison. But then, they know where they are if evidence leads back to one or both of them.

I think that Smith or Kennedy could be involved. These are people that probably don't want to be in prison, so putting htem back there cranks up their personal stress level to the point where someone may crack or try to cut a deal if there was more than one person involved.

I wonder if Nancy got a lot of negative comments on her show last night. Maybe that's why she doesn't have much on Nevaeh---sigh I suppose she'll just disappear from the show like Haleigh & Adji did.

I think it fairly odd that no mention of this case has been made since the walk out. NG seems to have a temper, and may hold a grudge, or just maybe she sees the discrepencies in JB' stories and is investigating them further? (A girl can hope.) I also guess that LE has a story from JB that they find satisfactory, and they can't be bothered by all the messy press.

"I'm angry," said State Corrections Director Patricia Caruso. "Shame on you."

Caruso was responding to a published report in the MIRS newsletter published in Lansing suggesting a link between the Michigan Prisoner Re-Entry Initiative (MPRI) and the death of the Buchanan girl.
Director Caruso was asked "So, you believe the union is trying to use this issue, this little girl's death, to advance their union agenda?" She responded, "I'm ashamed to even say that because I would hate to think that anyone affiliated with our department in any way would do that, but it appears that way."

And another big HUGE message...QUIT SITTING ON YOUR ARSES AND WATCH YOUR CHILDREN!

(Not aimed at any WSers of course, but the masses of parents who seem to think that children can take care of themselves)

I agree and also I hate that they are being returned to prison because of this murder. They would still be free if this crime had not happened. I hope they are not involved in this crime.
I truly have hatred for sex offenders but not even all of them would hurt a child. (I think) I think after the funeral services we may have an arrest and it will not be a member of the male gender.

I wonder if the reason they have booked these SO's on the parole violations to keep them in jail until they have the evidence they need to either prove they didn't do it...or book them on murder one charges...either way, SOs need to serve more than 6 or 7 months of a 13 or 14 year sentence...I don't know how many times we hear of reoffenders who just got out of jail and turn around and commit the same crime or something even worse within just weeks or months of release...JMO

They are being returned to prison for violating their paroles. They knew what the conditions of their paroles were, and they completely ignored them, because they are criminals and laws mean nothing to them. I'm glad they're back in prison -- no other little girl's mom will be introducing her to "Daddy George" for a while.

I wonder what will happen after the funeral also, arrests? mother involved?

  • #414
say that one of the two that are currently incarcerated are good for this and LE know it... do you think they would wait until after the funeral to make the arrest??? Just wondered what others think

  • #415
chances are LE is waiting to get back the results from the evidence they've found. i don't expect anything to be happening much until then. the fact LE is making this a priority and putting it ahead of all other crime evidence in the lab leads to one of two reasons. 1) LE has a good idea who it is and is waiting confirmation from the evidence 2) they have no idea who it is and are waiting for the results. i sure hope its number 1.

If there was a Busch beer can in the grave with little Nevaeh's body, I bet you anything LE has DNA from that can that already rules Kennedy and/or Smith out. The DNA from that can would have as high a priority....or higher.....than proving the body was Nevaeh's, IMHO. If the beer can DNA doesn't match Kennedy or Smith, then there is a killer still on the streets.

if they have evidence pointing to the two RSO's, then LE will take their time and not do anything until all the tests and evidence is back. The RSO's are safely behind bars with no chance of getting out on bail or running. If those two are involved LE can and will take all of the time they need.

One good clue is if LE is continuing to pull in and interview other local SO's or persons of interest, or do they just seem to be waiting on the lab work? If it's just lab work then there is a good chance they know who and are just building a case. If they are still hunting far and wide and interviewing likely suspect then there may not be anything that ties the two incarcerated RSO's to the crime.

BBM

What what? I thought this poor baby was too decomposed for her own family to id her? How would they manage a viewing?

Thank you. This is the first I heard that they had a family pastor. I know I don't have a family pastor. Is someone just assigned to them when a tragedy like this happens - just curious.

I also wonder who's paying for it -- doesn't seem like this family has a lot of money.

OTOH, I give them kudos for putting Nevaeh to rest. I continue to hear that Caylee Anthony is still in the morgue almost a year after her passing (well since December anywhoo).

Bless you Nevaeh!

Mel

For what it's worth = they are where they belong. They violated their parole and should never have been let out of prison in the first place. Let them serve 35 years and 15 years respectfully. Teaches them a darn good lesson! In short, I really have no sympathy they are back behind bars for a long time...even if they didn't do it.

For what it costs to run these 1/2 way houses, and contact supervision, let's ankle all RSO's and I'll bet we'll see the crime level go down a bit, as well as the costs to the state.

Best,

Mel

I knew that there had to be something of interest about Holly H. (note to those that do not recognize the name~ she is the friend of JB that claims to have been with JB since the beginning, she has given statements to the press and she appeared on NG with JB and spoke afterwards to media as well)

Let me preface...I do not consider her a suspect or POI. However, to get the big picture of Nevaeh's environment and her Mother's friends, I think we do need to consider her and if she fits into the picture.

I'm just posting this because:

1. She has put herself out there in the media and on national TV.

2. It may or may not be of consequence and if it is ...it's here.

(This was a booger to find too!)

http://news.google.com/newspapers?i...w4EAAAAIBAJ&pg=5641,9091728&dq=holly-howerton

page 49 of 54 Toledo Blade article dated : 26 JUNE 1997

Listed under Sentencings:

Holly H. 23 of 2840 North Monroe, false pretenses over 100.00. One year jail. Four years probation. $900.00 fine and costs.

(might just be a bad check?)

Anyway, I thought I'd bring it here. It's of no significance at this point in time.

Also adding to this I remember reading a comment that was posted here with a link, I think it was to Monroe Talks, that was a comment from a woman named Holly that said that she believed Neveah was near the river and something else, also said something about "why would he cut her hair" .... it will take a while to find it, but when I heard of her name on NG, I immediatly remembered the "holly" on the comment section everyone was quoting.
