I am afraid to know the connection here.

=============I am sooooooo behind. Had a really busy week.
Thanks Country Girl. I found that link and was coming back to post it.
============I personally dont think Tonya is guilty of anything other than being ignorant and supporting someone she shouldnt have in hope that he would give her some attention - granted she did at one point take care of children - but her license had been revoked long before she decided to pay his hotel room fees.
I think quite possibly shes another "looking for attention anywhere she can get it - no matter what"
LOL! No, Tanya is the 24 year-old with baggy pants who pays his rent at the Motel 7, reported to be $600/mo, because she's always had a crush on him. Savannah (or Savanna, have seen both spellings) is the young woman referred to as his gf. She claims that he was with her Saturday night and all day Sunday with the exception of one-half hour Sunday evening when he gave friends a ride to the detention center to visit other friends. Her face is shown in her interview. I'll see if I can rustle up the link for you.=============
I know that I just check once a day minimum on this thread and decided to check after supper tonight on the funeral. Feel really stupid right now, but I'm asking anyway: Is Tanya really Savannah? Don't hit me too hard.......

I have been away from my computer for a day or so....(HATE it when that happens!!!).....but I see that we do not have an arrest yet! I am surprised by that. There is SO much evidence in this case (grave site....beer can in grave.....etc. etc.) and SO many suspects (Smith, Kennedy, "females who were responsbile for the child"); I just can't believe a connection between the evidence and the obvious people in the life of Nevaeh hasn't been made yet. If it turns out to be a total stranger, I will be amazed.
Wow, Searchfortruth. That's a very interesting comment, if it's true. I can't shake the feeling that JB actively had something to do with this.
Now, if that's the case, why would she call attention to where Naveah is ultimately found by saying she saw it in a dream if she KNEW where the body was buried? Seems stoopid to call even more attention to your already under suspicion self. UNLESS, she said it knowing exactly where Naveah was buried to make it seem like some sort of maternal intuition/psychic link to her baby?
Here ya go.============
I feel totally ignorant here. For some reason I thought that it was Savannah who was paying his rent. I think I was so focused on Nevaeh's body being found and the site photos on the thread that my sadness blinded me for a while. I checked on the funeral as soon as I logged in and sadness has settled in again. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for setting me straight. If you have a link with both "wonderful, young ladies" I would appreciate it and maybe I can then begin to keep them straight.
Hi Reannan, I'm right there with you and have been thinking the same thing. Another poster got me thinking today about the comparison of Haleigh's case and this one. One big difference there is it seems to be short on forensic evidence and long on players in the case, whereas in Navaeh's case it is the opposite.
Nevaeh's forensics being placed at the top of the list, don't you think they would be coming back by now? What throws me is why they want fishermen to come forward. Why? They should be able to tell if that hole was in the ground beforehand, which is the only question I would think they'd have. xox
Have not been here for ages -- trying to get caught up on this case.
Definitely a weird comment from JB that she dreamed her daughter would be found in cement -- IMO something not right. Very convenient to say she was out riding her scooter. What mom lets a 5 year old out of her sight or even unsupervised in an apartment complex? Strange.
Scandi, as always, you hit it on the head!!! I cannot believe for one minute that LE doesn't have forensics back on the evidence they gathered from that grave, which would include the DNA from the beer can. The fact that charges were not immediately placed against Kennedy or Smith tells me that it was someone else. I just hope they have a clue WHO that someone else is........ KWIM??? I want justice, and I am confident LE does too....hoping, hoping, hoping.....never giving up hope.

(bbm) oh Lord please someone tell credence not to get me started... (obviously hasn't ever been to my apt community... gee, five sounds old for parents around here... heavy sigh...)
Re JB's comment she dreamed of Nevaeh being found in cement. JB also referred to her daughter--before May 29th at least a week prior to news of Nevaeh's death or discovery of her body--in the past tense as tho she already knew Nevaeh was no longer alive.
"I'm more determined than anything," Buchanan said. "I adored her. Everything I did was for her. She was my everything."

The absence of their DNA on the beer can does not absolve either from guilt. It only proves that neither of the two drank from the beer can. Likewise, the presence of a third party's DNA will not implicate that person unless there is other evidence to link the beer can directly to the crime itself. Like you, however, I do suspect the results have come in by now and the DNA, if any, does not match GK, RS, or any other known offenders. Therefore, it's probably inconclusive.
