I hope this case doesn't fall off the back of the tomato truck! I hope the forensics come back soon. Does anyone thing le is onto something or that they are floundering?

Forgive me for not being up to speed yet - I'm working on it.

It was reported (NG) that JB met her SO boyfriend at the probation office. Why is she at the Probation office if she's not on probation?

.............. oh and a quick observation. JB speaks with ease about how even SO's "deserve" a 2nd chance. and uses phrases like 'father figure' etc

BUT when talking about children, her phrasing becomes stilted and awkward, using 'lies' about her hunger and 'tattletale' about the child who reported Nevaeh was in the road.

She uses very diminishing language about children, and terms of praise for her adult friends, almost as if children are of lesser value rather than fellow humans who require nurturing and protecting.

Some mothers are just not up to the job :furious:

Yes her charity is grossly misguided and her compassion sadly misplaced... Had she ever recognized the value and worth of her child, or her obligation to protect her, she wouldn't have even associated w any predators much less allowed one near her daughter. I have heard several versions of how and where JB met GK.

I questioned the probation office story as well. For one the dates don't line up at all, plus as you mention she was not on probation. When I went digging the "we have known each other for two years and met at the probation office" is a quote attributed to GK in the one interview he did. However JB's very early interview with the press she is quoted as saying they met on the street in the neighborhood. Also she went to jail in 12-06 and he got out in 07-07 and remained out until she was released on 01-26-09.

My *guess* is he didn't want to say I met her a couple of months before she died and decided to try to sell the story that he has been around for quite some time.

I think they are just waiting for forensics to come in before filing formal charges. They have two in custody for other charges and rushing the results is not going to save the victims life, they are just in the backlog of testing at this point. IMO

I don't think so. IMO, LE wouldn't have transferred GK and RS to Jackson if they felt they could pin this on them.

Steeley Dan - I agree, mom Jen doesn't seem to have the nesting instinct most women have. She doesn't even have the intelligence to fake a nesting instinct like Casey Anthony does. Mom Jen seems to grope for all her words, perhaps repeating what has been told to her - like, not all sex offenders reoffend or they deserve a second chance. In my opinion, even lacking certain qualities, she is no murderer. mho

I don't think mom has the intelligence necessary to fool an entire police force and get away with a crime so hideous that even the experts are disgusted. Encasing a 5yo in cement puts a whole new meaning to the idea of a violent pedophile. The police have GOT to catch this guy cause his next child will endure an even worse fate. I believe once a pedophile crosses over into violence, it only gets worse and there is no going back to puppy dogs and kitty cats or gifts of toys. This is one really sick pedophile. mho

Trying not to grow discouraged in light of the lack of info, and hoping a violent child SO is not still roaming about free to stalk either this community of little ones or to migrate and prey upon another. :( LE has indicated they believe that this was a local (vs transient) and whether or not it proves to be anyone familiar to media's coverage, I'm certainly praying LE DOES have this perp already in custody, merely awaiting results of labwork eg to press charges. Again otherwise, short of inducing panic among their citizens, I would expect them to have had this community on more heightened state of alert.

Hi Kiki, I'm thinking along those lines too, as to why more has not been more said to the public if there is indeed a very dangerous perp out there, as the Sheriff saidf. If we lived in that community we'd have it always on our minds and keeping our little girls {especially} always within arms reach.

I'd be keeping my eyes peeled for any nocuous subject - anywhere, the grocery store, walking down the street, wondering if he is the very dangerous man!

I feel sorry for the residents of Monroe and it's surrounding areas. xoxox

Morris said she sees more parents outside with their children now than ever before. She believes it will remain that way until Nevaeh's murderer is caught.

"People are still in shock, they just don't know," she said. "They want it over with. They want to know who did it because parents are with their children now."

I sincerely hope this was a wakeup call to all parents that let their children play alone unsupervised! I hope good changes don't stop once the killer is found...

http://www.detnews.com/article/2009...rest-in-Nevaeh-case-left-free-despite-actions

GREAT READ on Kennedy and what exactly his past violations of parole were. I would snip but there was so much in the article you really need to read the entire thing. Will cross post to the GK thread (also some info on Roy and Jennifer and Davis as well)

Thanks for that, nurse. The article is chock full of info. Raises a question though....in the last paragraph the reporter writes that as of Monday (which I assume means yesterday) the ME had not completed Naveah's autopsy. Wasn't the funeral this past weekend? How would her body have been released if the autopsy isn't complete yet?

The coroner is probably still awaiting toxicology reports and pathology reports so that the autopsy will be complete when he does his report.

I assumed that the article was written last week, prior to the funeral.

I'm thinking it's possible that the autopsy might not be considered complete until all tox screens and other lab testing that might have been sent away results are back?

Video report at ClickonDetroit:

http://www.clickondetroit.com/video/19762120/index.html

Police are asking anyone who fishes in the area to come forward. I'm beginning to believe that LE has no idea who did this to little Nevaeh.

Toys left at the apartment complex have been collected and will be sent to charities.
