MONROE, Mich. —An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 5-year-old girl last seen in Monroe.
The Monroe County sheriff's department is searching for Neviaeh Amyah Buchanan, who has been missing since 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

Neviaeh is 3-foot-8, weighs 45 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities found her bicycle in the parking lot of an apartment and believe she is in extreme danger.

She last was seen wearing a red, white and blue striped shirt and knee-length jeans.

a commenter on http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/19556544/detail.html commented that she read the subject being questioned confessed and they are searching the quarry. I pray this baby is still alive and if they are searching a quarry it's a normal area they would search.

Just read on the clickondetroit.com site that another person is being questioned regarding this case - this persons identity has not been released as of yet.

There are UNCONFIRMED, conflicting reports in the comments on the clickondetroit.com article that she has been found dead in the quarry. I pray they are wrong.

On the local news they just said they are checking a motel room and the quarry (Motel is just a stone throw from quarry). I took it they were going back and forth from the motel room to the quarry. This is not sounding good. Why do they keep letting sex offenders out on the street to hurt again. :furious:

You know, I feel much the same way. In this case, it's so ironic that the child's name is "heaven" spelled backwards. Praying that's a good sign that she is okay. :blowkiss:
