:furious: This really fires me up. This woman should never be able to get pregnant. Look at what kind of mother she has been to this little girl up to her disappearance? Judge me if you want, but women who are unfit to be mothers should not be allowed to get pregnant. Mandatory birth control, injection, vaccination, internal where she can't remove it, anything!!!!!!!!!! Why can't she be arrested and charged with child endangerment because she knowingly had the little girl around a predator?

badme102, this is O/T to this thread but I just need to share this with you. A perspective, so to speak. Why should you feel guilty for suspecting someone of a crime that even the LE themselves suspected until an arrest was made just a few days ago?

Don't do that to yourself. You suspected what every LE invesigator suspects within the first few minutes or the first few hours or even longer of a missing child case and that is until the parents are ruled out they are suspects.

The sighting: I don't know... I just can't see an abductor that has willingly and criminally abducted the child once the child was alone, go and offer up such identifying information as unique as Nevaeh's name and what it is spelled backwards.

Local gathering at KMART on Monroe Avenue. It's a citizens search. They are searching the roads, ditches, woods, etc...

LE says the search is very much still on..More than 100 LE personnel on the ground.

Family members are exhausted and are headed to the citizen search at Kmart.
Releasing new photos and videos of Nevaeh. She graduated from preschool last week.

Nevaeh is shy and would not leave with a stranger. Some think she would scream if she was in danger.

My comment: Just seeing the hordes of people gathered at Kmart on the news is just amazing.

Grandma Sherry B has had custody of Nevaeh pretty much since she's been born because Jennifer was incarcerated for a while. Nevaeh calls her "Mommy" (the Grandma)

The part i don't understand is some say 8:15,some say 6:30,so which is it and i hope im wrong but the way i understand it is she noticed she was missing at 6:30 and then waited 2 hours to report her missing or is it just conflicting news media?

Family members said George Kennedy, 39, has been dating the mother of Nevaeh Buchanan, who is missing.

Jennifer Buchanan denies that she was dating Kennedy and said they have been friends for several years. She said she knew he had a criminal record and is on the sex offender list.

In 2002, Kennedy was sentenced to 15 years in prison for home invasion and third-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was released in 2007 and remains on parole until July 2009.

Police said Kennedy is being detained because he violated the terms of his parole by having a relationship with a woman who has a child under the age of 17.

Jennifer Buchanan's brother, Michael Buchanan told Local 4 he knew Kennedy was a sex offender and he used to fight with his sister about letting him around his niece.

"Other than that, it's like Jenny is an adult. What can I really say?" said Michael Buchanan.

Hi T! From what the mother said earlier today (toledo blade video) when she first noticed her missing (630) she then called her <modsnip - term not allowed here> buddy and had him help her look. LE was called at 8ish.....

Does anyone else besides myself wonder what is up with the Kmart??

An hour and half to look for her,you have got to be kidding me! This woman is a piece of work. I can understand looking for her for a few minutes before you get the police involved but 1 1/2..come on.

I also read that she admits she failed one question on the poly due to lack of sleep and i noticed she has been on myspace today. That i don't get,if my child was missing,that would be the last thing i would be thinking of but it could also be LE looking to.

You know I have been pondering this since my initial post. As an SO he is not allowed around Jennifers child. What would they do if she ended up pregnant by him? And what are the legalities of an SO being around his own child? This is all hypothetical, of course, cause there is nothing out there concrete about the matter.

badme - I'm with you on this one. This mom has said some really strange things. In the first interview, she said she thought there might be some "foul play there" which was odd to me. Then she said "I'm not giving up, its too soon to give up" - what the hell does that mean?? It was just last night, day one - nobody even thinks such things on day 1

Definitely a stange one here. Not sure what it means, if anything. BUT calling a <modsnip - term not allowed here> to help look for the child is mind boggling!

ITA, something just didn't sound right with this "mother". Now, on video, she doesn't put anything past the <modsnip - term not allowed here>, but he is such a good friend that she called him to help look for Nevaeh ? I am not getting good vibes here.

Ms. Buchanan said she fears the worst has happened to Nevaeh but remains hopeful her daughter will return to her safely.
"My gut feeling is she's in someone's vehicle right now," she said. "I'm not trying to think of the worst but I have to prepare for the worst."
