But I agree that Debbie is a great person. She was a tremendous help getting my daughters passport back in 2007 when the passport office had a huge backlog.

Thanks for the info.I wondered how that worked. It seemed to me like the judges just pulled numbers from a hat. However I still think 5 years is too little for the rape of a 13 year old.

Kennedy was released from prison in 2007 where he served the second part of a two to 15-year sentence for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in 1998.

He committed the crime in 1998 but wasn't sentenced until 2002? What happened during the 4 years in between?

OT but in addition to teaching my boys that it is their responsibility to make sure that if they don't want to have children to make sure they take precautions~ if a woman tells you she is a such and such age, you better make darn sure~ I know it sounds harsh and hateful but I have taught them to make sure for themselves about BC and the age of the woman. I have one that turned 18 in JAN and I harp on him LOL

Monroe -- Monroe County Sheriff's Department investigators on Thursday found a child's body west of Monroe that may be the body of the missing 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan.

Police cordoned off an area near the River Raisin around Dixon Road in the area of Ida-Maybee and Neiman roads.

Evidence experts were preparing late Thursday to examine a body that searchers discovered that had clothing similar to what Nevaeh was wearing when she disappeared from her Monroe home on May 24, a person familiar with the investigation said.

What a tragedy. I hope that, if this is Nevaeh, they will be able to find evidence with her body that points to her killer. If it's not her, it's still a child lost. Tragic either way.
