200 gather at vigil tonight

In the parking lot where Nevaeh Buchanan rode her bike and played, they gathered. They gathered with candles and yellow ribbons. They gathered to sing and support. To play music and hold out hope for a little girl who disappeared last week.

More than 200 people stood outside the Charlotte Arms apartment complex in Monroe on Saturday night, many clutching their own children, and prayed.

FYI: Alleged info regarding Easter

My cousin lives right next store to the Easter man and said he is SOOO weird! She also said that she believes that they found bones in his burn pit. That they took several bags of evidence out of his burn pit. Then they pretty much cleared out his house. Took his computer, a ton of pictures of kids, and several other things. Also said his girlfriend who lives around the corner is also a registered sex offender! :furious:

I checked both of Monroe's zip codes and they only have 2 women listed at RSO's. The addresses are no were near apartment complex, they are all on the other side of the Rasin River. So if she lives in the apartment complex she is not reg at that address or not at all.

Yesterday investigators continued to canvass around the apt complex.

Over 750 tips and are continuing to investigate tips and leads

2 young boys between 7-10 years old that were seen playing at Hollywood school playground. They want to identify and interview them as witnesses.

Kids names are Ryan and Dylan that they want to interview as witnesses.

Can't hear reporters questions!!! UGH!

Sheriff wants to provide the public with updates but does not want to provide the perp with info.

Easter is a POI.
POI picture a train going down the tracks...One of the cars on this train has POIs in it....as the train goes down the tracks, it will add more POI's and let others off. Info and leads help to either rule POI's in or out.
There is no focus on any ONE POI. They have to have a broad focus on every issue.
750 tips doesn't include leads. Leads are constantly coming in as well.

No details about James Easter.

All the sheriff keeps saying is "I'm not going into detail on that, or I'm not commenting on that"...But I have no clue what the reporters are asking!

Around 5:00 AM yesterday this POI was dropped off at his residence and 5 minutes later he was outside burning things.
That makes him a little higher on the list. (Easter)

Yesterday some searcher came across a plot of dirt where it shouldn't be, and soil was disturbed. LE went and checked on location and there was nothing of evidentiary value there.

No one has been cleared to this point. (Reporter asked about Kennedy and Smith)

They have more than one POI.

Jennifer is home as far as Sheriff knows...he contacts the family daily.

No comment on whether Jennifer is a POI or if she's interviewed daily.

No comment on Easter's criminal past.
He has been arrested on unrelated charges and will be arraigned today on those charges. Charges will be released after the arraignment.

Arraignment will be done in the jail. (video?)

Reporters are hammering him on Easter and every question he gets asked, his answer is, "I'm not going into detail on that"

Tips are called in. Leads could be tips or info developed from tips.

No comment on Arson charges on Easter. Arraignment this afternoon.

Won't tell why they're looking for these 2 boys, specifically.

Interest in the 2 boys are solely as witnesses.

My transcript of events....
Yesterday investigators continued to canvass neighbourhood.
Continued to work on tips and leads- over 750 tips, continuing to investigate them.
Intersted in locating two boys called Ryan and Dylan who are aged between 7 and 10 years old who were playing in the Hollywood School Playground between 6-7pm want to determine what they may or may not have seen. Found out about them from tips and leads.
He will only give updates on what has happened to date won’t give out any information that isn’t needed to the public in case the perpetrator is watching.
James Easter is a POI
No focus on any 1 POI, still got a broad focus on entire abduction investigation.
James Easter dropped off at his residence at 5am and 5 minutes later was burning things in his backyard (yesterday) so this takes him higher on list of POI’s.
Found an area of disturbed earth.... investigated but nothing of interest.
Nobody has been cleared as a POI at this point.
More than 1 POI at this moment of time.
Jennifer is at home. They are in contact her daily.
Won’t comment on the letters or whether J is a POI or whether she is interviewed daily.
Easter related on unrelated charges and will be arraigned later today. Won’t comment on charges until after the arraignment.
Won’t say who called about Easter burning at 5am.
