Green box van, rec'd numerous tips about the van...They need the person in that van to contact the task force

For instance a mom with 2 small children with a silver mini van was there...wants her to contact task force.

No comment on whether Nevaeh was at playground or parking lot

No comment on questions about JB being a POI...she's cooperating...

Reporter asks about ice cream truck in apt complex...they are following up on those tips..

Won't comment on Kennedy and Smith....

No planned searches today unless a tip comes in for a specific area

Asking about psychic tips and they are following up on everything. I think they said something about a psychic saying Neveah was alive somewhere in Ohio....(??)

Okay...went to the 2 addresses (VD and grandparents). I am going to go back and look at the google earth image that was posted, but I believe that the same van was there...just parked a little further down the road (about 50 feet away). I also found a second boxy green van within @100 feet of the location.

I am not good with distanced, though.

I got license plate numbers on both vehicles.

ETA: not the same as in the google earth shot. the google shot has a green truck. I found a very boxy, old, lighter green van.

ETA2: I went back again. I was way off on the distance. They are much further than that from the address. But not far all the same.

"A third man, who was named a person of interest in the case over the weekend, has been cleared in the case of the missing girl.

James Easter, 64, of Monroe, was taken in for questioning Saturday. Investigators have not released specifics as to why he was considered, but have now reported he is no longer a person of interested in the case."

ETA: Okay, it appears Channel 4 (Click on Detroit) is the only one reporting this. Although they do seem to have the most current coverage at this point.

I am so behind on this case. You guys are doing wonderful work! I have a question, if you don't mind. I read that the blood found on items associated with the boyfriend's hotel room was found to be human blood...but not Nevaeh's. It still gives me the creeps about those two men, even though they have been "cleared". I mean, it is not normal to have bloody shorts, towels, knives lying around! If it is not Nevaeh's blood, I wonder whose it is.

If I am not mistaken (which I may be) it is RUMORED to be that of a female friend/girlfriend/whatever of Kennedy. I do not believe that has been confirmed, but if you look back at some earlier posts, it was mentioned.

The amount of blood recovered was never released, so it could be just a smudge from a papercut on the shorts, towel, etc. As far as the knife (which was not in the motel room, but in the van), it was determined some of the blood was Kennedy's, and the donor of the other sample is unknown.

You are right Lyn. I thinkit was that Savannah girl that said the blood was hers. Some of the blood LE said belonged to GK himself. It's still bizarre though don't ya think?

I'm very impressed at how proactive our sluthers have been on this case. I didn't realize there were so many "Michiganders" here! I wish that I could do more, but my location isn't real close and I work in the opposite direction, as well as having a little one myself. If there are anymore searches this weekend, I will try to convince DH to "let" me go.
