I am watching live on Nancy Grace...she has been found dead near the river.

RAISINVILLE TOWNSHIP -- As part of the Nevaeh Buchanan investigation, law enforcement search teams are currently at the River Raisin near Ida-Maybee Rd. and Dixon Rd. in Raisinville Township.
According to reports from the scene, N. Custer Rd. is blocked to traffic between Muehleisen Rd. and Yensch Rd.

On the south side of the River Raisin, all traffic has been shut down on Dixon Rd. at Sullivan Rd. and Neiman Rd.

According to reports, there is extremely tight security. The news media have been ordered to stay at least two miles away from where the road blocks have been staged. News helicopters will be ordered to clear the air space.

The Monroe Evening News will post more details as they become available.

yes, I think it's her. There aren't any other children missing in that area.

It hasn't been confirmed, but the clothes do appear to be similar and it is possible it is her. Very sad.

according to MT they confirmed to searchers it is her. I don't know if they would tell them that or not. Although pretty sure it is.

OMG, I've just turned on Nancy Grace and found out that a child's body has been found and all thoughts are that the body is Nevaeh! I'm so in shock right now. My heart is broken..........

Please God, give this sweet baby comfort and surround her with all your love.

I don't know how guys like Mark Klaas, who lost their own angels, can stand this. (He's on NG). Over and over again the disappearance of kids and discovery of their little bodies. They must relive their own agony over again each time.

Sources told Local 4 FBI investigators have found a body while searching the River Raisin for a missing 5-year-old Monroe girl.

Investigators will not reveal if the body is that of an adult or a child, or release any other identifying factors.

Nevaeh Buchanan was last seen May 24 in the parking lot of an apartment complex about 35 miles south-southwest of Detroit.

IF this turns out to be Neveah the area where they've found her is going to be very helpful in finding the killer (that is if someone hasn't confessed and told them where she was). The river runs east and dumps into Lake Erie. If someone killed her within city limits, they had ample areas to dump her body into the river that would have been much closer to Erie than going all the way out to this area to dump . . .

if this is nevaeh and she's clothed and it turns out she wasn't molested then i think LE should maybe look in another direction.

Exactly Scarlett nor could she have gone into the area of the river near N/S Macomb because the river runs east and where she was found is west of that.

Police cordoned off an area near the River Raisin around Dixon Road in the area of Ida-Maybee and Neiman roads.

here's a quickie map. I don't have the street address of the apartment complex where she lived, so I punched in Monroe, MI to Idamabee and Dixon Roads. Looks like 5-8 miles maybe?

If someone posts the street address of the apt complex, I'll redo the map to be more exact mile wise. Thank you
