Thanks for the linkie poo Nomoresorrow, That gal reporter also said

*GK knew the area where she was found like the back of his hand. And that he worked with concrete

It's possible he was prepared with the pot of cement mix, a pail and a shovel. Hmmm Maybe he always carried it in his truck if he did handyman type work. I don't know.

But in that video did you see the drop down from Custer Rd to the river edge? There was something white down by the water and wonder what that was? I think she was found up above where the hazmet type uni'ed ME personell were working, right?

And a special thanks to you Nomoresorrow for walking down that road looking for the site. I wish we were all there with you there tonight for hugs, and then we could go to the presser in the morniing. We can dream, eh?

I just can't keep up tonight (or should I say this morning) scandi! Gotta say, just walking that road on google maps was a very eerie feeling - it felt like death if that makes any sense. I don't usually get those kind of feelings around these cases but I felt like someone lives on that road that is quite possibly associated . . .(((((Hugs)))))

My mom could never keep shoes on me. (I haven't changed much either!)

Good point about the meal since 3:30pm seems an odd time to eat. Maybe she was hungry so he fed her?

It was 73 degrees that day and only dropped to 57 degrees.

Nothing wrong with kids running around barefoot around the house and the yard. But I HATE to see kids walking barefoot in "public" places like an apartment complex. Ugh! As for the weather, down here, we pull out sweaters when the temp dips below 70. LOL

It is just that. powdered cement with little rocks, and you add the water and it becomes concrete!

I thought by that they meant it wasn't well mixed and there were maybe spots that were somewhat powdery and not firm.

BTW, In a post or video somewhere I read this son was standing on this piece of concrete, evidently while fishing. And as he stood there he started to kick at the dirt, maybe like a baseball pitcher does, and a piece of the concrete chipped off and he saw skin underneath. He hollered at his dad, and I thought a grandpa too, and they decided to go up to the road, leave it alone and call 91 which is what they did.

Does anyone know where I read that? I know it isn't exact. xox

Ryan, the 15 year old boy who gave the interview, wasn't there. It was his father and grandfather. The father is the one who chipped away at the concrete and saw skin.

I want to think it is GK, but I don't know at this point. There are other possibilities with the company JB was keeping and JB herself. GK would have to know he would be the first person they would look at for this abduction. There is also RS with the van.

JB's brother reported GK and JB had a big fight before she went missing, IIRC.

Things sure lean towards GK being involved in some way tho.

More conflicting reports because I read exactly what Scandi read about it being the 15yo boy and his 51yo father.

Just when I was finally about to give in and go to bed. Let me see if I can find a link.

Ryan Bickley, 15, told the Associated Press that his father, Guy Bickley, 51, discovered the body encased in cement Thursday morning while fishing the River Raisin.
The teen said his father and grandfather were fishing from shore when Guy Bickley spotted a block of poured cement and noticed a bad aroma that he likened to a decomposing body. He said that as his father moved closer to the cement block, the smell "overwhelmed them."
His father then chipped away a piece of the cement, revealing what appeared to be human skin. The men immediately notified police.

I found the one you saw, but now I am looking for the other one.

Around it is not under it. How do they lift it?

Hi Chilly, I don't know the correct process for a proper dig. But I could see them starting to dig a ways out from the grave as SS said.

They would have already determined the depth of the grave by pushing a rod down at the side of it IMO.

Then as they took dirt away and got to the actual grave, they would be at the proper depth of the grave, having used their calculaltions.

At that point they could shim under the grave itself, slowly and gently, and maybe put props in place to secure the shim so nothing would move as they worked the shim in from all 4 sides, one shim {board or square piece of metal}, layered on top the other.

Then with that done they could slip one more solid piece of material underneath the works and maybe all lift together.

Goodness gracious, I have no idea, but it's a start! ;}

That sounds like a reasonable possibility but I still think with the concrete being so fragile, that they probably removed it as they went along. It doesn't really matter, the important thing is that Nevaeh has been found and will now have a proper burial.

Thanks Chilly, I think I've read and listened to too many things tonight. LOL Once in awhile ya got to have a little brain fart, eh?

This is what was reported by the Monroe news. Reading through their articles, I'm finding that much of their information is incorrect.

http://www.monroenews.com/article/20090604/NEWS01/906049989/-1/NEVAEH

Officers at the scene said they were told to keep media away for two miles or arrests would be made. A television helicopter circled above. The area is rural, and the girl's body was found by a teenager near the railroad tracks.
It also is in the vicinity of where Comair Flight 3272 crashed in January, 1997, killing all 29 aboard.

Edit to add:

Another Monroe news article:

http://www.monroenews.com/article/20090604/NEWS01/906049991/-1/NEVAEH

A teenager found the body while fishing along the river in a rural area of Raisinville Township off Dixon Rd. near a railroad trestle east of Nieman Rd. The body was believed to be underneath a block concrete, family friends said. Police would not confirm details

Yes, I should really paint a shirt on Haleigh. ;)

I want to find the other article because it does detail them shuffling their feet around and the way the cement appeared to crumble.

well then like i said i am way behind and have not been following this case at all
if that is a fact which i am guessing it is then disregard my cooler as a form theory... although if i had to transport a small body somewhere that fishing is done a cooler may have been used so as to blend in if seen

If that is what they dragged up the bank of the river, it looked like a concrete Igloo ice chest. Same shape that would be made if filled with concrete. A big gray block of concrete, smooth on the sides and top. That's a lot of concrete.

These fishermen were standing on it! How creepy is that?

I don't think there is any "womb" implication here, this is "hide" pure and simple. The little friend who spent the night reported that Neveah was riding her scooter in the street. This child has been questioned and I don't think that JB would make up a story that could be so easily proven one way or the other. So I am taking it as true.

Where was her scooter found? Anyone know? JB said she looked for 40 minutes and then found the scooter before calling LE.

Now was George hanging out in his motel room with Savannah all day or was he fishing? or both? He flunked a polygraph. So did JB. He is being held on parole violations - for being around kids. HELLO.

These 3 are in it up to their eyeballs.

Scandi, my only thought is not to take NG's show or transcripts too seriously. Or a lot of the media somedays now. My heart is heavy, as all of yours are now. Nite.

First time I've seen this report:

http://www.freep.com/article/20090605/NEWS05/906050449/Body+found+likely+Nevaeh

Meanwhile, Guy Bickley, 52, recounted the moment he and his father found the body about 12 miles away from the complex.

Bickley said he felt the ground beneath him give way and knew something was wrong.

He stepped back and realized that he wasn't sitting on normal riverfront soil. Rather, it was haphazardly laid concrete. And it was crumbling apart.

Then he saw what he thought was human flesh.

"To me, it looked like two-thirds of a little back," Bickley told the Free Press late Thursday when he returned to his Frenchtown Township home after spending the day describing his grisly find to police.

Bickley and his father, Lowell Kirk, 72, of Tennessee, decided to fish along Dixon Road, west of Sullivan, because it was too chilly to head out farther.

They'd barely settled in when they noticed the earth "wasn't right."

Bickley said it looked as though someone dug a hole, then poured a bag of concrete mix on top of the body. The men called 911 but had to wait two hours before anyone arrived. They spent much of the day at the sheriff's office filing reports.

You do make some good points. It could be 4 sets of eyeballs tho. Don't forget RS. Then there is also JE. There are many eyeballs around that particular area.

I don't think I have read or heard where the scooter was found.
