also: the detective asked for 500k cash but after she started talking to the judge about how much and how can she pay it and how she wants to talk to a specific lawyer he told her that he was the one to set the bond and then set it at 100k.

So witnesses saw her carrying out black trash bags from the home on Jan. 30th & she admitted being in the area where the bags were dumped.

The bond amount requested was $500,000. Also it was stated she had other minor criminal offenses. Judge set $100K cash surety only.

Mr. Leone? is who she is requesting to represent her.

Prior to when the judge came in, she was talking to a heavy set man in a suit. I thought he was her attorney. He explained to her the charges and also got some phone numbers from her, plus more that I could not hear because they were whispering.

But then he was not at the arraignment, so IDK

Breakdown:
Required 100,000 in cash if she bonds (this means no 10%)
She has to have a psych evaluation prior to the Feb 11th hearing.
She does NOT have an atty and so the judge is having one appointed to her.
When asked about an atty she mumbled about getting one and the judge corrected her and stated that since no atty has filed anything on her behalf, he is assigning one to her now.
The young man in the court room was NOT her son. He had a case pending too and is probably wondering what the hell he stumbled onto today lol
She's considered a flight risk because she has ties to NOLA and Texas.
Bleach and blood was found at the crime scene
She was seen by neighbors carrying out trash bags to her car, the one on the BOLO
Blood of the victim was found also in her car.

biggest thing to me out the whole thing was her total lack of emotion and the fact that she is under investigation for other possible criminal acts.

Andrew Leone is the name I heard. He looks to be primarily a divorce attny?
Judge, in response to detective's request for $500K, asked something like 'I presume there may be other charges pending' to which the detective replied 'yes'... then sounded like the Judge said "I'll bet"... and set bond. At least to my ears.

judge also asked for psyche eval and drug and alcohol screening.

Mother accused of mutilating her adult son faces felony charges

<snipped>
She was not charged with murder, although Police in St. Clair Shores say the Macomb County prosecutor's office is expected to review a warrant request for murder charges in the case.

<snipped>

A 40th District Court Judge ordered Scrivo to undergo an psychiatric evaluation. She remains in jail and the next hearing in the case against her takes place on February 11th.

Oh, also it sounded like she said to him that she could write him a check and he said to worry about that later.

Yeah I heard the judge say "I'll bet there are" but I thought that was in response to the detective saying DS has minor criminal history...

::re-watches:: ok so it was also in response to the detective saying that there are investigations into other criminal acts.

I think the drug and alcohol screenings were if she released on bond, because he followed up with the rule that can't leave Michigan without permission from the court. Normally drug and alcohol screenings are done during intake..

Suppose it's possible son offed himself and mom took it upon herself to 'clean up' and dispose of the body... after reporting him missing. No clue why she might do that, but I guess it's not totally out of the spectrum of possibility? Ugh no matter how this plays out. Just.UGH.

I just caught up on this case and read all the posts here. Very crazy stuff...this happened really close to where I live (same as a couple other posters here it seems).

Anyway, I was just watching the live stream and it cut out just as the judge was talking about some kind of psychiatric evaluation and setting bond.

This is very tragic and difficult to comprehend.

Welcome Nighttime! I'm feeling the same way about difficulty comprehending.

Hello All,

This is a very strange case. I'm curious what the facts are going to be when they come out.

I've been away for awhile but I'm back to follow this one. Not far from my house at all. I drive by there all the time.

Going to go back and try and do some reading in the thread looks like that might take me a bit.

Very Sad :(
