The husband died on 5/15/2013. Reading the obit. there was a Memorial Mass on 6/1/2013. (I guess that gave her time to file all the stuff in court about Ramsay.) Does this mean no funeral or was that private? I wonder if he was burried or cremated? I also wonder if there was an autopsy.

She actually filed a case to have Ramsay committed to a hospital on 5-16-2013 the next day after her husband died. Then on 5-17-2013 filed for guardianship. She wasted no time.

That's a long time to wait for a memorial service, I wonder why?

Donna Scrivo filed a missing person’s report on Ramsay Scrivo Monday, saying he had not been seen for about a day. The dismembered human remains were found Thursday in garbage bags in rural parts of St. Clair and China townships. The remains were later identified by the FBI through fingerprints.

Scrivo was arrested Friday. Police had been searching for a heavyset, middle-aged, white woman who was seen dumping garbage from her SUV in the area on Thursday.

Bagged body parts were found discarded in four locations. Police also recovered a fifth bag containing clothes and other nonperishable items. Surveillance footage from a store put a woman, believed to be the mother, in the area around the time the body parts were dumped, police said.

Mother accused of mutilating her adult son faces felony charges

She was not charged with murder, although Police in St. Clair Shores say the Macomb County prosecutor's office is expected to review a warrant request for murder charges in the case.

A 40th District Court Judge ordered Scrivo to undergo an psychiatric evaluation. She remains in jail and the next hearing in the case against her takes place on February 11th.

I haven't been able to find anything about the house fire, but it looks like DS's house is registered as the address for a business RS established in 2010. I'm wondering why he wouldn't have used his own address? Unless he still lived with DS at the time?

I'm just wondering if this may tie into the house fire/insurance money, etc. at all. Probably grasping at straws. I can't actually figure out anywhere what exactly it is that Sharp Services does, but apparently RS was the only listed employee.

His mother, Donna Scrivo, a registered nurse, was granted guardianship of her Ramsay, who a doctor listed as paranoid, delusional and suicidal.

According to records, Ramsay, on probation out of 40th District Court for assault, refused to take his medications and had paranoia and depression. His anger, according to a court file, &#8220;had escalated to unsafe levels and has threatened to commit suicide.&#8221;

A Macomb County woman was charged today with mutilating and illegally removing a corpse after her 32-year-old son’s body parts were found in bags along roadways.

Donna Scrivo, 59, of St. Clair Shores was arraigned on the charges related to her son’s corpse. The remains of Ramsay Scrivo were found Thursday.

Macomb County Probate Judge Carl Marlinga told the Associated Press that Donna Scrivo petitioned last May for “temporary guardianship on an emergency basis because her son was suicidal and despondent over the illness of his father,” who later died...

Ramsey Scrivo, 32, for most of his life suffered from anxiety issues, which escalated since his father got sick, according Scrivo, her other son, Jason, and a report by guardian ad litem Sheila Miller.

Ramsey Scrivo said &#8220;multiple times he would hang himself when his dad dies,&#8221; Donna Scrivo says in the May 16 mental commitment petition.
