This case is so bizarre. It breaks my heart.
I held off saying anything until more was released.

It seems like a large "normal" family with so many social connections.

What could possibly make a woman snap like that? Mental illness perhaps. I just can't wrap my head around it.

If in fact she did it, the way she disposed the bags tells me she was clearly out of her mind. She flipped out. :twocents:

The disposal method of the bags did it for me too. It seems strange but I don't think sadism was likely to factor in the dismemberment. I tend to (want) to believe it was purely practical. Ramsey was a big chap and no way could he have been moved by one person. But in that case the parts could have been bagged very securely, four or five times, and disposed of altogether in a quiet wood, or in water.

The total disrespect shown with bags being tossed out of the car willy nilly, with body parts rolling around......that is so, so disturbing if indeed it was his mother who committed this crime.

Looking on her facebook page I see a very attractive woman who doesn't look her 60 years. She has apparently looked after herself. I would never pick her as being a sadistic murderer. You never can tell. JMO

Shouldn't this thread be renamed now that we know the victim's identity? It just bothers me a bit to call it "body parts" at this point.

She actually filed a case to have Ramsay committed to a hospital on 5-16-2013 the next day after her husband died. Then on 5-17-2013 filed for guardianship. She wasted no time.

That's a long time to wait for a memorial service, I wonder why?

MAYBE (this popped into my head), he was going to rat her out for offing her husband so she had to have him institutionalized quickly.

I'm still catching up on the thread and I don't usually speculate like this but......oh well.

Good points! Granted I was hesitant to add my mom, but I'm also vulgar and talk about things that she would want to tsk tsk me at ;) But I still added her in the end. For her to have 2 kids that seem to have the rest of the family on their FB but not her, that speaks volumes.

I really think it's going to come out that she's been less than a stellar mom - less than what she has seemed, and more like the monster we now know.

Another twist in this and why there's such a delay in her name being put in MSM, maybe she has familial ties to someone in office?

And it's not even that they weren't Facebook friends. They were at one point, but now she doesn't appear to be on his friends list. If it were me, I'd unfriend her after she tried to become my guardian. But he still let her live with him—and that was after the guardianship issue.

I wonder if there was a family trust made, to avoid any large tax bills when dad died? That could have meant mom having the right to live in the home for life, but it was actually passed to the children which would stop it from being sold without their permission, or give them a share of any profits if it was. Dad could also have left assets to the children, and mom would have had control over any Ramsey received, if her guardianship bid had succeeded.

It seems a little odd that dad was apparently remodelling son's house when he died, and son was apparently remodelling mom (and then deceased dad's) house, when he was killed. Why wouldn't son have remodelled his own house, in that case?

I am also wondering if mom could have been affected by an age-related mental health condition like Alzheimer's or dementia, suddenly exacerbated by her recent bereavement? Although I'd think it was rare for those conditions to result in something like this.

I think someone went into her account as her friends list was visible at one point, but by yesterday evening they were gone.

The wider family seemed so close.

Link to the obit of DCS' mom - you'll need to either search for 'Scrivo' or page down to about 4. She passed away 28 Jan 2013.

There is a direct link here that is a little quicker to view. Thank you for spotting that. I read that obit and completely failed to see the right names.

And here is Ramsey's dad's.
