I have a feeling someone was in contact with Tanya via email purporting to be this Joann person (perhaps one email). To me it sounds as if LE is unsure such a person exists and they now have to wonder if there is some woman going by that name, or perhaps they suspect that the contact was actually with Mr. Skelton presenting himself as this mystery woman to lend further credence to a made up person? IDK, either that or some jerk looking to profit off Tanya's worry and concern has contacted her opportunistically in hopes of a ransom payout for the boys even tho this jerk knows nothing of them outside what (s)he's read in the papers.

That caught my attention as well. I do not get a very good feel about this one. It just seems really odd all around.

If it was an e-mail, LE would have the e-mail address and be able to trace who it is registered to, including information such as if it was a free account, proxy server, and likely the IP address it originated from. Also the more trouble someone would've gone to to disguise themselves, the more likely "JT" doesn't exist. MOO

On the earlier posted cafemom site, I noticed her last public status had a response.....when I clicked it, a person with 'dream' in their ID said she could help and to contact her.

It is possible (remotely) that this person claimed to be JT.

Coincidentally, here in Fl I have friend who share a name with the imaginary (IMO) couple and he is a lay preacher. They've never been to MI tho (I asked - blush)

agreed. I have no idea of Mr. Skelton's computer prowess or wether he has the skills to attempt to hide thru proxies etc. But I am confident that LE computer forensics will be able to ferrit it out if that is the case. I also agree that if the contact came thru email and was routed in a way that was not direct or seemed to indicate someone hiding their true identity, the greater the likelyhood that there is no JT

YOu should tell the tipline what you saw about her cafemom sight. I'm not ruling out the mom because of her RSO status.. the fact that NO newspapers have said anything, PLUS i tried to comment about it on 2 different newspapers comment sections and neither post went through... just raises my hinky meter... why keep that so hush-hush....

Why has the mother's criminal history not been released to the media?

Is anyone else thinking that maybe "Mommy" helped set them up for sale and the guilt is what drove "Daddy" to suicide? I don't know, I know it's out there, but I feel like this is going to get a lot weirder before it all ends.

It seems if this "JT" is fictional, then this would've been a plan long in the making, as he claimed to have been in contact with her over some period of time, not just recently. Unless he had replaced the computer and changed ISP/e-mail accounts there should be a "history". MOO

I have a feeling that this is going to end up being a case where the father was going to kill himself and the kids only it didn't work out that way and the kids were killed before he was able to kill himself.

Run that username of Tanya's through pipl.com (craftybikermom taken from her myspace) and you will find three separate online picture accounts, all but one of them empty.

I don't know, I just don't like the mother, and it could be the sex offender status, but I think it's more than that, even though she seems to be the victim here, as much as the boys, I have my doubts.
