Thanks, not_my_kids, for posting about the new developments in the cold case of Holly Piirainen! I'd missed the news because of the holidays, even though it's local. LE is holding a news conference with the family tomorrow to announce the new developments.

not_my_kids wondered if Michael Plumadore could be the culprit because the new developments comes on the heels of his arrest in this case. Hkhart, thanks for finding a possible connection between MP and Massachusetts.

I don't think MP is involved. Your posts prompted me to read an article from the Worcester Telegram from November 2011 about progress in Holly's case and in Molly Bish's and a different suspect. Here's the link:

It's a great article; I recommend you read it. It outlines the investigation of Gerald B. Battistoni, who is now in prison for raping a girl whose mother he dated.

"That charge came last year after licensed private investigator and former Vermont State Trooper Daniel E. Malley, working on a child custody case involving Battistoni, tracked down information that Battistoni had raped a young girl years earlier.

When he found the victim and asked her about the allegations, she admitted she’d been raped by Battistoni, possibly 100 times or more when she was between 13 and 16 years old, and except for one of her childhood friends, had never told a soul.

At every turn, Malley became more concerned. He worked to get Battistoni prosecuted for the rapes, and with that done, started taking a closer look at possible connections to the Bish and Piirainen cases — with the blessing of the families. No one is paying him.

So, while I don't think the announcement will be related to Plumadore, I will be following it.

I wanted to go more details even though it's about the cases of two other murdered children, because it's encouraging for every one of us who looks into these cases. Following cases here is so heartbreaking. This man made a difference! Daniel E. Malley is a true hero! He was investigating a child custody case. He discovered this man was a child predator and gave the information to LE, leading to his conviction.He uncovered many possible links to Holly's and Molly's cases, on his own time and expense. Thanks for getting this predator off the streets, Mr. Malley, and for moving the investigation into these 2 murders along.

Just doing a general search of Daniel Plumadore via ussearch.com there are only 4 that come up - 3 Daniel C. and 1 Daniel Ralph. Based on that info found there - I believe it is one and the same. It appears that the two other "sons" listed in obit were several years later (per fb) based on HS graduation ~ 1985 birth.

If this is the right person, he would have been 21 at time of MP birth. Doesn't appear that the mom and dad were married. MP was born ~ 9 months after Valentines day - perhaps short lived romance? Father may not have had any contact or wanted any contact once he started "real" family?

I say this as my own grandmother was left when my mother was 3 days old - her father (my grandfather) went on to have a whole new family who knew nothing of the former families existence, although my mother knew of his.

BBM - I looked forever, and can find no published obituary of assumed biological father. I think that would give us some of what we're wondering about.

Someone mentioned family on Facebook but I'm not a Facebook person, so don't know what was learned from that.

Not sure if this has been posted but I found this obit in the masslive.com obituaries. Does not even mention Michael as a son. I have just started reading this thread and find it very weird.

Also, about his graduation info....I would think it is very probable with all of his juvenile trouble that he dropped out of school before he graduated. Maybe that is why no one can find him graduating. Just a thought....

I believe that Jason and Brandy T are MP 1/2 siblings. TLFPTM is their mother, but MP had a different dad. I found Brandy T. birth records listing Teresa L. F. as her mother.

Well if that is true then TLF did not appear to raise MP. There are pictures of JT and BT's parents with them as babies and children on JT's facebook and there is no MP anywhere in sight. I find it hard to believe that JT has kept his facebook open but has completely deleted any trace of growing up with another half sibling.

Maybe he was raised by his grandparents if his mother had him out of wedlock?

The guest book for Daniel is only online until January 3. The only thing I noted was that Daniel was the youngest (post by Ronnie's daughter). A couple of distant cousins/relatives posted.

I suppose it is possible too that Daniel never told anyone he had another son ... or that he never knew his name was on the birth certificate.

They were born one day apart otherwise. I found it odd that MP wasn't in any family pics from that time, but JT has pictures of his niece that others say was in MP fb albums. BT and MP look similar whereas JT looks like mom IMO. It seems that when the T family was in Florida MP was also there - perhaps visiting. It is a strange family dynamic for sure!

100% - someone actually posted before his fb was taken down that they were concerned that this young lady was getting too 'old' and Ali was taking her place

When I found JT's fb and searched the pics I literally got goosebumps when I saw the child in front of the flowers -- she looked around the same age as in MP's fb pic

I have searched and searched under everything I can think of. There is the birth record, plain as day then nothing. I think that this guy was adopted. Probably grew up under another name and reconnected later. Other posters have noted that he does not seem to be especially close to his birth family.... more like friends? and not close ones. I really feel this is the case. Maybe some of you are better sluethers than me!
He must have lived a good part of his life under another name.

ETA: the birth record, nothing, then the obit for grandfather.... huge gaps

From looking at FB comments and pictures, it seems to me that BT and JT are pretty close as brother and sister. I agree with Sparklin that they are biological siblings and the family was pretty much together as they were growing up. I believe the father died a few years ago, possibly in 2008.

Based on the info I have seen so far, I think that Michael Plumadore might have been the result of a fling between bio mom and bio dad while he was in NC for the military. He might not have been officially stationed here, but many military personal pass through for processing to the "field". (Even my Dad during WW2).

It appears as if bio mom was only 17 or 18 and bio dad was 21 or 22....

If you go through all the friends on various Plumadore facebooks, this guy is related to Daniel Plumadore, MP's possible bio dad. So perhaps they do know that he may be related.

I saw that too, however since there seems to be a lot of connections via obits about family history and name isn't that common, I wonder if they just became friends due to common name. Not saying that they aren't related (everyone is) but maybe didn't know how closely they were related.
