I borrowed a six-shooter from a wranglin Montana cowboy one Halloween for a party at the Sea Hag in Depoe Bay Oregon. Took first place for my costume but had to lay my antique gun on the bar until I left! God what fun that night was!

That's when I learned to love 'em and leave 'em like all good cowgirls do! :D :D :D

Darn, did you ever just totally blow away my perception of you ! I had you figured for this incredibly classy lady, full of spirit, freedom and loveliness -perhaps an inadvertant heartbreaker - now you tell me intentional heartbreaker - I'm crushed ...:o

LOLOLOL Oh Charlie, you know I was talking about the gun - love it and leave it! :D I never ever loved and left, but after my divorce - 2 years later, I did Letter' Buck for a while. :blushing:

Back to the gun. It was an heirloom he loaned me. His brother Jake Whitlock was a famous bronc artist, and it was his picture that was put on the poster for the Miles City Buckin' Horse Sale. I did stop in Billings the last year I went to that rodeo and saw Jake in the hospital, a couple of weeks before he died. I told him all about using the gun, and he squeezed my hand. Now that was a REAL cowboy!

yeah there goes my lovely vision of a darling little hippy grandma, still in the 60's era, with a hibiscus in her hair, sitting at the computer reading up on cases and mumbling...

"something wicked this way comes. Now if he went....and he did...then he...."

Instead she's jumping up and down on her rocking chair, watching COPS and waving a pistola screaming "book 'em Danno! Yeah that's right, slam that sucker to the ground and whack those cuffs on! Awww come on, I woulda had him down quicker than that!!".

How Funny Sami, Crack me up rolling down the road all the way to the next rodeo! LOL

Sitting at the bar after the rodeo, nursing a Bloody Mary in my fav white boots with the fringe all the way up the side, one of those Montana cowboys came up and started nibbling on my right ear. I felt a pinch and out the door he ran, and the next thing I heard was the bartender screaming he has your pearl earing in his teeth! Out he went after him, and soon returned with a red hand that had punched the guy and my earing in the other.

When I got home it started to itch behind my ear, and upon inspection discovered an abcess caused by the stem on my earing punching into my neck. It was awful, but good thing it was gold! Would have been a lot worse.

Sorry for the OT, but not much going on in the case :( Scandi

Hi everyone…new to posting but not to reading. I’ve been closely following this case here and on CTV and now at LR. If there is another site please don’t tell me since I am probably close to being fired from my job as it is!

Something about this crime being pre-med that bothers me is if Jason is as narcissistic as we’re lead to believe I am amazed he would plan the murder of his wife on the weekend of homecoming.

I apologize that this is somewhat off topic…I grew up in a home that worshiped the Duke Blue Devils because my dad graduated from there. When you’re a Duke fan as many of you know you pull for anyone playing the Tarheels. Yesterday while watching the ACC Championship I couldn’t find it in myself to pull for the Pack as I have at times. Why? Because I knew Jason was watching the game and I didn’t want him to get the pleasure of them winning. However, I still didn’t pull for the Heels.

Believe me, I am not proud of these fellow NC State grads...for different reasons of course
1- John Edwards
2- Jason Young

Hello Melaki,

Remember that premeditation only takes a second to form.

Got to thinking about funeral arrangements today. Quite an odd topic I know but someone earlier was asking about the funeral and it got my mind to wandering. Jason would have been next of kin and imo responsible for the arrangements.

It was said by people who attended that it was an open casket (for anyone who was there, feel free to verify or squash this rumor). Now if JY was responsible for the arrangements, and it was an open casket, one of two things crossed my mind. Either he is one sick puppy or he really didn't do it. How sick of a person would you actually be to show the world what you did to MY? Makeup can only do so much....

It is my understanding from someone very close and attended the wake and funeral, LF insisted on the open casket. I think she wanted to show everyone what JY did.

I would think that only the husband could insist on what's done with the casket. Very interesting.

I can't imagine what Michelle must have looked like at that point. :(

If my wife died, I would welcome her Mother's input. After all, a Mother / Daughter relationship is usually special. I can't imagine that her request would be denied if she insisted. JY knows when to pick a fight and before the funeral was not the right time.

I agree, Barney, in a typical family most people would get together and make the right decision.

JY seems to be running and not picking any fights though, IMO. lol Guilt implied there, IMO!

I was just lurking over at the LR website. Someone posted that Johngo asked that all of his posts be deleted. Anyone know anything?

Also, they stated on CTV that outside the box posted that its "gonna be all over" by March 31st.

Interesting.......

Think of it this way melaki - In all probability, this will be the last season that he watches. :)

And by the way - welcome! :)
