A sex therapist? I think I'll forget the transgender stuff and just think about a woman going to a sex therapist. I think you ladies have a distinct advantage over the males in considering this.

So, tell us the secret. Why do you think Michelle consulted a sex therapist? She's got one baby, had an unfortunate miscarriage which, by the way, was not caused by a car wreck so I hear, and now has a boy on the way, a boy who will carry on the Young name, and who, by the way, will be the only one who can carry on the name unless Jason is fortunate enough to have another son in the distant future.

So, what's with the sex therapist?

Why make the leap to a sex therapist ? This could have little to do with sex in reality. Seems to me from what is known, there were marital problems, money issues not necessarily lack of money but more about how it was being spent. I think limiting this to sex alone is too narrow.

Why NOW with a sex therapist? Again, for the ladies, would a woman be consulting with a sex therapist for some problem she had experienced in the distant past, say when she was a young school girl in Sayville? Could a problem from that era show up NOW when her life seems to be on an even keel, when she and Jason both have excellent jobs, a beautiful daughter, a son on the way, a beautiful home, a rosy future?

That would seem strange to me, but I am not female enough to even guess at an answer.

Wouldn't you think the problem she needs to talk about is of more recent vintage? And what could it be?

I'm not convinced, whatsoever, that MY went to this lady for an issue related to sex - sex issues of Jason's or hers. IIRC, this lady did handle some gender issues (or something like that), but that she didn't exclusively handle only those type of cases. Is my understanding of that correct?

What are your thoughts?

Michelle seemed very comfortable with her sexuality so I am guessing that she was referred through work? Considering she had one lovely daughter and then two that JY took away from her, I don't see that she had a problem with herself at all.

Most of her problems seemed to stem from her husband's infidelity and complete lack of maturity. After all, driving down the embankment sure doesn't do a pregnancy good. Little resentment there imo. Probably needed to talk to someone about it.....

No, I don't think so. For financial problems, I would think a more general therapist.

And by the way, the way I hear it, there were no financial problems.

The way I remember it, you are correct. The therapist advertised as a specialist in transgender and sex issues, but also offered consultation on more general problems.

My thought is that she had a more recent problem, say from the summer onward, that she was trying to deal with. Anybody think there might be another guy involved with this?

It is possible the connection came through work, it is also possible a friend advised Michelle. The therapists office was fairly close to where Michelle worked - perhaps convenience. From looking at JKS website before it was taken down - she was not one dimensional. The way I hear it there were financial issues - as I said before not lack of money but irresponsibility with money. I would also think a husband who can't hang around rahter than head out on vacation after a therpaputic abortion might be a reason to have some concern about. Seems like abandonment to me. Also the affair shortly thereafter by the husband seems to say more to me than sex being a problem.

Alluding to a theory of problems back from her childhood? Nothing known as fact about that now, so I'm not even going to give that much credence for now. Except one comment and taking the inference as a "hypothetical" situation. I'd say IF IF IF IF there was any fact behind that, then I would take it that IF IF IF she were having issues over that NOW, in late 2006, then that would mean the rest of her life was NOT on an even keel, as you said in your post. If a female were having problems living with something from way in her past, it's MOO that it's because of other current stresses that have allowed them to surface in such a manner that she's asking for help.

Certainly, every individual and every situation is different. And, I'm not a professional in regards to psychology or psychiatry. However, have vast experience in dealing with people in traumatic events and situations. So, my opinion is based upon those experiences. Honestly, I'd be somewhat surprised if MY was requesting assistance for sex-related issues for herself.

On the ctv board RPD is jerking everybody's chain....or thinks he is. I know some of them are actually jerking his chain. Is he smart enough to know it? Don't know.

I think I will forget all the other stuff and just concentrate on Michelle's visit to the psychologist. Do you think she named a name?

It was a rough several days without our daily WS fix, wasn't it?!

Your friend, Mr. DNA came thiiiisssss close to hitting me (vehicles, not fists :laugh: ) in the parking lot yesterday! He emailed me about it today, said I looked scared (I was!) and I used the lowest tactic I could think of. Ya know, had to hit the guy where it might hurt the most - as in cutting off his dark chocolate candy supply, if he doesn't drive better!

I think it's much more likely she was seeing the therapist for marital problems. Some women don't like to talk to family and friends about things like that. We know they had money problems and we know her husband was sleeping with her best friend. Those two things would likely send me to a therapist.

In regards to the 'sex therapist'....

Many therapists are multi specialists these days. Kimball specializing in transgender issues does not make her a 'sex therapist'. There is more to the issue of transgenders than 'sex'. Those issues are deep and begin in childhood.

My understanding of Kimball is that she specializes in many areas, including family and private issues.

You are very wrong, as RC and Sami have pointed out to you. Don't make assumptions.

I know who you are from your posts. If you're posting in a civil manner at WS, most posters will talk to you in a civil manner, as well. Start playing your A**inine games like on other boards, and you'll be continuing your disservice to JY. In all sincerity, IMO, you're an educated man who cares much for JY and his family. However, I don't know why you're posting on and on in a way that only detracts from JY.

You want insight to what joe-general public thinks and feels about the MY case? Ya know, the court of public opinion from across the US? A mini-sampling of citizens? Then ask reasonable questions and take the answers to heart. You may not agree with all, or even some, but at least you'd know what real people are thinking or surmising. Sometimes it's best to just sit back and read.

You didn't ask for my opinion, but I just gave it to you. It won't hurt my feelings if you wholeheartely disagree 100%. Yet, I realize there are hurting family members and friends on both sides of this situation. WHOMEVER the perp was, that person has family that will be distraught if/when an arrest (and hopefully a proper conviction) occurs. I won't have sympathy for the murderer. I will have sympathy to the family members who were not responsible for this disgusting crime by their errant child.

RC You might be right about why Michelle had to see a therapist if the so-called insiders are any example of the Young family.lol. I have no idea who they are - I figured for the most part: trolls. I do know that over there it is common to have multiple hats.

As far as Michelle seeing a therapist, I sense that it was a multitude of reasons concerning her husband. Absolutely nothing to indicate she was having an affair. When would she even have time?? - a demanding job, a toddler, pregnant, miscarriage and pregnant again.

As far as her seeing the therapist in a sexual capacity, I'll go out on on limb and speculate that it might have been that her husband was too sexually demanding. She was probably tired and not into sex what with everything she had on her plate and maybe he was demanding that she cater to his needs. He seems like a bit of a jerk, to me anyways and obviously, their sex life couldn't have been that great because he went out and pursued someone else. Just to add insult to injury he picked one of her best friends.:loser:
