otto said:That is my understanding. Someone notified Jason's mother's house at about 2 pm Friday afternoon. The police said they spoke with Jason "briefly in the afternoon" (from Greta's interviews with the sheriff). It's a 5 hour drive so the family would have arrived back in Enchanted Oaks around 7 in the evening. I understand that Jason, his mom and his step-dad all drove together. When they arrived, the vehicle and all it's contents were confiscated. Jason was apparently upset because their luggage contained cell phones, medicine and all their clothing.
Whether Jason had a lawyer lined up before they arrived or not is unclear. I don't remember, but I think he had the lawyer in place before they arrived. If the police only spoke briefly with Jason in the "afternoon" of Nov 3, then it was most likely during a phone call. They could not have arrived earlier than about 7 pm with the 5 hour drive because they also needed time to pack things up and get ready for the trip.
hmmmm, for some reason i want to say that Jason & his family showed up on that Saturday, & that's when his vehicle was confiscated....let me try to find a link....(should have done that first i guess)
