In all seriousness though, we sometimes use our life experience to help us with our sleuthing. FWIW, and it happened 34 years ago but:

My first husband was killed while I was out of town, more than three hundred miles away. My FIL and my bro and his gf drove all the way there to tell me and take me and my 3 mos old son home. The news reports were out on tv and newspaper, but not giving the victim's name during the first reports

Where do you think I stayed for the first two weeks afterwards? With my FIL, although my family lived just a few miles away.

I was with my husband's family day in and day out for two weeks afterwards. Of course my family came over, but I stayed with my husband's dad and extended family.

That's how a grieving family acts, IMHO. They stick together in their grief. That is, if there's nothing to hide. :(

LOL...literally laughing out loud....

makes me think of one of Jilly's comments....something along the lines of JY falling to his knees out of pure exhaustion, from all the driving....lol

morning jilly:)

if i'm not mistaken, RC has confirmed, by looking at the picture of the truck, that it's not a Mitsubishi, but a Ford instead....

You're right!! You're right! I clearly forgot about that even though I commended him on his great sleuthing! :bang: Maybe this time, I'll remember - Thanks Close!

Jilly,

Hope this answers eveyone's questions.

Yes it does RC! Thank you! :) Sorry I've caused you to repeat yourself here on the make. You were very clear the first time which I even acknowledged! lol I even posted about the Mitsubishi being in the accident. Cripes!

Anyways, thanks for looking up the GPS. I was hoping for a minute there we might have had a significant piece in the investigation.

As I understand it, the Mitsubishi had extensive water damage from the car accident last spring. It was replaced with the Ford SUV.

Sorry to read about your husband Fran.:( Yes, our experiences do factor into our sleuthing.

You're absolutely right about this guy. It's pretty obvious too that Michelle's mother and Cassidy would be very close and he ripped her away from them too.

You are welcome Jilly , no problem at all. FWIW a good friend of mine recently bought a new GMC truck with all the bells and whistles and it has the OnStar option. I was amazed by what all can be done with OnStar -really a nice feature - if the vehicle is stolen - it can be located through OnStar - the vehicle can also be shut down - open doors if you lock your keys inside - if there is an accident OnStar knows it within seconds of you knowing it -really neat stuff - a little scary in other ways.

Fran,

Your post sparked me - so in response I went back and watched the snippets of tape from Lynn Fisher's statement on the day of the funeral. Granted these are very short snippets and certainly don't tell the whole story but from what was there - it "appeared" as though there was no unity between the two families. Meredith was the one who stood with her Mother but there seemed to be very little , even proximity contact between the Youngs and the Fishers.

You might want to look at that tape again - it is interesting IMO. Keeping in mind of cousre it is but a brief segment. I believe the link to the tape is posted in the Media Thread. I just found it interesting after reading your comments.

Puzzling - LE still has Jy's SUV sitting in the impound lot. I was thankful that Amanda Lamb cleared this up for us and verified it's location just a few days ago.

So, I'm thinking something was found in that vehicle otherwise LE would have no legal right to keep it. If JY's lawyer has filed a motion for its return we do not know - what we do know is if he did, it was denied as LE still has the vehicle. Today we get a bit of news that the Crime Lab is backed up and it may be a while before forensics are back.

So now I'm stuck thinking something was found in that vehicle that requires testing and since the lab is backed up it may be a while before whatever it is, is known. All this time I've been telling myself they found something and it implicates the owner of the vehicle as LE will not give it back. Only to realize the reason LE still has the vehicle is most likely related to a back up in the lab. Bummer !

Charlie,

I remember posting a link in Janet Abaroa's thread that the NC Crime Lab was backed up for two years (that was last year). Can't they somehow put evidence from a murder at the top of the list for testing?

I would think murder cases would get priority however as I recall Wake County is working 3 other murders beside MY. If this is a state lab - then they are running test from cases all over NC. I'm not sure one murder deserves higher priority than any other. Just my thought.

See, that's why I don't get it, there's Cassidy. He doesn't think Michelle's mom and sister don't want to see Cassidy?
He's a cold person, imho.

Raisincharlie, don't be too disappointed yet because they have simple preliminary testing that they can do that will confirm if a stain is blood or blood present. The more extensive testing is where they might be stuck at on the vehicle.
I'm very interested to see if LE went to the hotel Jason stayed at and looked there for blood. If they did find any they'd need to do more extensive testing and that would be a major holdup in making an arrest.
