Just passing PSA her grande-maxi hot cocoa to help warm the mind and soul. It's freezing here too. There's some for everyone! (especially you in the barn, raisincharlie!)

Does anyone have the scoop on the prison that JY might be going to if he's convicted? Is it the same as where Michael Peterson went? I wondered what the conditions were like there. I suppose it's different depending on the penalty given, right?

I know, don't count my chickens before they hatch! I just like the thought of JY locked up not gallivanting (sp) all over the USA once this has been solved.
Taximom,

Thanks - very nice of you ! I guess I should have told you it warmed up enough to get the ponies out yesterday finally so I'm back in a nice warm house now, have to shave now....grumble, grumble, and look presentable - no more excuses  ...but the hot cocoa is excellent as it is very cold here again today.

I don't know the answer to your question about the potential prison - I really haven't followed any cases in NC so am not familiar but I bet someone else will have a good answer for you !

Hi All,

Just popping in for a few minutes. Prisons locally would be Central Prison right here in Raleigh. I can't recall for sure but I think Michael Peterson is in a prison there or at least I know he was after sentencing but he could have been moved by now. I seem to recall he was at Nash County at some point as well

I just want to go on the record in case I should ever die in a manner that might lead to some discussion on this board: if anyone ever comes on here & says my husband couldn't have harmed me because we were VERY MUCH IN LOVE, always on our honeymoon, he absolutely adored me, etc, etc - they are full of crap & probably didn't even know me. Don't get me wrong - we love each other & we have a nice family, but that mooning over each other all the time doesn't seem realistic to me. Matter of fact, I only know of one couple who does that in front of other people & everyone just rolls their eyes because they are so fake.

FWIW - he has put up with me for 16 years, & I probably won't wind up pregant again so I think I can go to bed at night securely in the knowledge that I will not be shot or bashed in the head or suffocated.

Thankyou SO much, Taximom. It's cold, overcast and raining here - extremely unusual weather for desert-type conditions this last week. Hot cocoa! Haven't had that for a couple of years! All my rescues (such a lovely kit-kat family) are sitting under my husband's saab, peering out & looking very glum! Well, there's nothing mum can do about that except the fleece-blanket beds I made in empty boxes on the porch for them to snuggle into.)

So! schlurrrp! It's Christmas-Gift wrapping weather in my jammies... LOL :)

Lol, holly... that's one of the reasons I LOVE your posts! You're a straight-up-and-down anchored thinker - with absolute honesty in your humor. We don't get to cross-post often - but here's toasting my hot cocoa to you and another 16 years good sleep ;)

Written in the spirit of things ... PSA :)

Thanks PSA, I believe I am down for some hot cocoa myself. These cases just drive me up a wall...same dumbass thinking he's going to get away with it & the same clueless friends, well-meaning they may be, but who really really knows what goes on in someone else's marriage?

Dear Jason Young,
Not only is divorce always an option, but how 'bout using that big hole in the front of your face & talking. Okay so she got knocked up & you felt trapped into marrying her - why? It's the 21st century, Michelle is smart & driven & more than capable of making it on her own. But you married her anyway - did you ever once have a frank discussion about not wanting any more kids or for the time being? I am guessing no. So bottom line is because you are a big p---y, your beautiful wife had to be eliminated.

Info for anyone wondering whether or not a hitman would've been paid or waiting for the insurance proceeds........topic for this is not on here but worth noting for folks....

Hitmen are paid 1/2 before and 1/2 afterwards within 24 hours. If the hitman has reason to suspect non payment of the second half, he will demand all up front. Hitmen do not need a key to a house (that also made me lmao). Hitmen most often use firearms (usually a pistol with silencer) or explosives. If a hitman is not paid within 24 hours after the gun and run (the hitman contacts the hirer with a code word meaning "it's done, pay me now") the hirer then becomes the target.

There are few cases of 'hitmen' blugeoning someone and possibly leaving evidence. Those that have been documented are complete amateurs who make a big mess of it and they are caught within 48 hours, but if he wanted her out of the way and to be free, he would not have sought out an amateur.

yeah, Sami...this only makes sense, imo.....i'll be completely shocked if we find out someone else 'did the deed'....i think one person did this, & one person only....JY

I can't find the thread where someone suggested that JY would change his clothes after murdering Michelle (if he did).

A very clever poster at CTV mentioned if he did murder her and then change his clothes, the girls at the house will know what he wore when he left that nite and we could learn from the hotel clerk or cameras what he had on when he actually arrived there.

I thought this was pretty good and well worth repeating here.

That IS .... a *very* good thought, jilly. Thanks for bringing it over. There are some bril minds out there, eh?

Makes sense: ALL that luggage has bothered me - especially the Grande Exit making sure he was last seen heading way outta Dodge. Convenient. Something inside me tells me he is such a coward, he may have worn a ski mask so Michelle never knew it was him (someone else wrote that, I could see why if it's true).

He's staying out of sight, JUST like ISP

Well, if all of this comes together as it's looking, he won't need to hide. He'll be transported to a cold and dark corner where NO-ONE sees him.

Punk (IMO)

YW Annie. But you know....I'm even starting to wonder if there was a hotel at all. What do you think? I'm just thinking that this guy doesn't seem that bright - maybe one of those book smart lacking street smarts kind of people. From the SWs it's starting to look like this murder could be Ted Mack's Amateur Hour.

I'm starting to think that everyone assumes that JY left when the friends where at the house... personally I think he left much earlier. I say this because in every article I have read - I don't recall any of them saying JY left while the friends were there. There is JY left for a business trip. MY had friends over to watch GA.

If there is a hotel room I'm guessing Roanoke Virginia and he was there by 9 pm at the very latest to check in but I believe it was earlier. If he checked into a hotel he left shortly thereafter to return to Raleigh. I'll even go out on a limb and say the 11 pm phone call may have been made from a phone booth or if he is really stupid from one of his two cell phones if indeed there was an 11pm phone call. JMO

And you know...it does make sense that one would leave earlier intending to get to a hotel at a reasonable hour, get a good night's sleep and have a fresh start for an AM meeting.

And you're right - we don't even know if he did make a phone call at 11pm. I think the poster who suggested that the following day he had his phone off and just checked his voice mail is probably right. If that's the case, I don't think he was using his phone the nite before.

Ooooh. Now, now charlie and jilly! That's a rather large kitty, er, cat .... no make that a Leopard, you've thrown into the settled pigeon cage, lol. Just as we're all huddled together, firmly perched and brooding quietly over this case, you bring out Leo for a quiet stroll. LOL, d'you really think he left earlier?

It's true, charlie, we ONLY have the "insiders" passionate claims about JY being seen leaving in company of MY's friends .... and THEIR claims he called at 11. I think he did call, but as you say, may have been from another telephone/mobile. THEIR claims it was for a leather purse/wallett. THEY were right about print out not a fax, though, from s/warrants.

Ugh ... I am still staking my stubborn stake on a VERY small island (as few believe the same as me) that Michelle was murdered much later. Of course, may be way out on that, too.

(I know, close ... I know ... LOL, don't even go there ... just recording it for when that Texas-sized omelette is chucked on my face if I'm wrong, lol :blowkiss: ...)

WHAT A CASE THIS IS!!! WOW ...

Ha! like me you're gagging for news from the teams on American television who appear to be failing to cover this case as we'd expect.

you and i who are out of range of the broadcasts rely on the gentle folk here to give us updates on Greta et al. :)

Ugh, I know floh... I feel like Orphan Annie begging for crumbs of coverage, lol :slap:

But as we're closer in real time at least we can 'chat' to one another, lol, while USA snoozes in their winter wonderland ....
