Miley Cyrus Embarrassed by Vanity Fair Photo Shoot - Racy Photos

This is true GM but we don't know if seeing 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 doesn't lead them in wanting to do it.

IMHO.

Either way, I say we should keep our children innocent as long as we can.

CC, this is just so far from 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. This is a beautiful photo and reactions smack of it's the little hussy's fault that I HAD to molest her. I completely and totally agree with keeping our children an innocent as long as possible. Trust me, my daughters could write a book on all the stuff they weren't allowed to do, but all their friends were.

Anyway, I think it's a beautiful photo and it's fear of nasty minds that have colored our perception. Even the reaction to the photo of her and her dad ... I'm just not seeing what others are. I just see a beautiful girl and her father.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I'll tell you I pitched a righteous fit over Brittney Spears little Lolita slutty school girl video and further nastiness and I'm just not seeing that with this photo.

I just found this and I rest my case. The poor girl is "embarrassed" and said "I couldn't say no to Annie"

Jilly, I agree with you re: BRC. He could have said "NO"

http://news.aol.com/story/_a/miley-cyrus-decides-vanity-fair-photos/n20080428071609990131

That's exactly why there is "age of consent", she's not capable of making a decision or standing up to adults in this situation, she can't consent. It doesn't matter if your a millionaire child or not. Lebowitz should be further barred from photographing minors.

I blame the adults for letting this happen. Parents, agents, photographers, et al. She is a child and this is very inappropriate. IMO it borders on child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

I'm very disappointed. Everything I've read about her parents has said that they keep her level headed and grounded. Seeing these pictures changes my mind about them. Even the pic of her with Billy Ray borders on being inappropriate.

Regardless of anything else - whether she was manipulated or lied to or whatever - She is a CHILD not an adult. These pictures should not be printed in a magazine.

We are Hannah Montana fans in our house. Not sure what to do now. I'm very disappointed. :(
Exactly! She is a child. :(

I have several problems with it. She was embarrassed about it for one. Secondly adults in control over her seemed to have pushed her into it.

A "normal" person never finds a child seductive. I am not concerned about "normal" folks like us GM...LOL. I am concerned about perverts.

Honestly from the initial quotes from her she was excited and pleased with the photo and only became embarrassed after everyone told her it was naughty.

I agree with you CC about "normal" vs. "not normal" reactions. I wish I could share the photo I did of my daughter ... but quite frankly once it was pointed out to me that it would be perceived as inappropriate I SAW it. :(

It was just such a beautiful photo that idiots could perceive as nude, even though she was fully clothed.

I don't care for the one where she's sprawled across daddy's lap. I don't think the bare back shot is cool for a 15 yr old girl. Especially a "Disney" girl. Where was her Disney rep? Where was her agent? Is her dad her agent? Does he just want more attention for him through her? Why couldn't he have gone bare-backed?! lol

I really hope she can stop this train now before it becomes the Spears-Lohan-Cyrus Express.

BTW, Lindsey Lohan is the one that should be really embarrassed for those Marilyn Monroe-like (not) pics!

Me either. I find that the most disturbing of all of them. I met BRC several times back early in his career in Nashville and I had been very happy for his success and Miley's - until I looked at the Vanity Fair website today and saw those pictures.

I don't know what her father was thinking - he and her mother were apparently there during the shoot.

um, ok.

i mean this just screams exploitation to me. the people all around her didn't tell her it was naughty on the shoot, they told her it was artistic - those were the people exploiting her. they were there to get ANNIE's job done. only afterwards when everyone else saw it they were like... Miley... what happpened? and this is what we have. a child that is in the center of a HUGE storm.

i was just at a talk about sexual exploitation two weeks ago. the speaker was talking about how sometimes, the kids are excited about the exploitation until they turn around and tell someone and the person they are telling is like "WHAT"... because they don't know that it is bad. they think what happened was fun and exciting. The perp has pumped them up so much to do the task that they think it is a great idea, but they don't have the reasoning to know that it is bad / not bad because they are KIDS. That's why it is called exploitation.

i don't care personally if she consented or not to the pics. but the POINT is that she is 15 and she can't make those decisions. She doesn't have the reasoning ability to... the abstract thinking to know that what she does today will effect what happens tomorrow. when the top came off someone on that set should have got the ICK feeling and should have said something!!

i hope all that makes sense.

I believe her comments were after she "saw the pictures and read the article" she was embarrassed. Which is another point, we haven't even read the article yet!! If it doesn't get posted somewhere I won't read it, I sure am not giving Vanity Fair 1 cent for this.

golfmom, I can appreciate your feelings about the pic of your daughter. But, I bet the context in all ways was different than this. Still, I'm glad you won't be posting them because I'm sure she's beautiful, and we have to keep our sweeties safe from the sick forks out there.

you know i saw someone put up a pic of their kid - senior pics - as an ad in the mall for a local photographer in one of the kiosks. it was the girl standing in a waterfall, barefoot, short blue jean miniskirt and a white tee shirt with no bra. I was like... OMG!! (you could see every curve and - well, it was a white tee shirt that was wet. and it was displayed in the mall. and it looked cold). it looked like something out of a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 or the beginning of a sequence in a racy magazine. and i don't know how old she was... but i remember thinking that was bad. NOT MY DAUGHTER FOR SENIOR PICS, and SURE AS HECK NOT IN THE MALL!! the next pics were of her in her 07 seniors letterman jacket.

i mean, i think this is even worse because I know this girl is 15. you know? and it is getting national press!!

Apparentley, Disney is not pleased with Miley. The real question is mentally where were her parents?

I agree. I had to do a double take....I was like....is THAT HER DAD? At first I thought it was some other (older) guy, the way that she was all sprawled on him.... and when I realized it was Billy Ray, I almost threw up.

A friend of mine, owns a Modeling agency, and she let her THEN 13 year old, have a picture taken with her wrapped in what appeared to be NOTHING...but yellow caution tape. She was actually wearing a bikini top...it was the strangest thing. When I first saw the pict. I was like..."HUH?...Well, that's bizarre".

Bet he was dressed up and not just covered in the front with a sheet!

LOL Naw, I wouldn't have noticed cause the kid was golfing. I'm joking. It's a baby girl and she's adorable. A few months old. Tiger's mom will have her on the course in about five months tops. Again, I'm joking.

pedinurse, I'm not condoning that photograph you saw, but I wanted to state something. I worked for a photographer for many years. My former employer is my dear friend. She does Senior portraits for several high schools in our area. The kids get photographed in cap and gown, and then in uniform and then they get to choose whatever else they want. Alot of girls choose to be photographed in their prom gown. Many in their sports uniforms. Then there's some going for the look you described. Somebody picked the location of a waterfall. The short of it is my girlfriend has had to give a resounding no to some of the requests. Then she has a parent calling her up yelling they paid for these photographs already and she better give the kid what she wants. Last year she revised her contract. Alot of these kids never had portraits done in their life and the parents are paying this big money and they want their kids to get what they want. It reflects on the photographer as well. I mean a kid in a wet T-Shirt wouldn't be good business for the photographer unless a pack of other girls want just that. Yo, half these prom gowns show more than this Miley kid was showing. Again, I have no opinion on that one way or the other. A note though. Young people get in front of a camera and alot of them never had professional portraits done. They're at a vulnerable age, and basically they think thy're the s*it. They get stars in their eyes these kids. Just a warning to parents who are having kids photographed. I know I am preaching to the choir, but don't allow your kids of any age, male or female to go alone. School is one thing, but studio, and locations. NO! All they need is some creep telling them how model like they are and some of them kids just see stars. They suck it up. They love hearing that stuff which is all part of getting a great portrait, but as in all walks of life there's some nasty people out there.

:waitasec: :waitasec: :waitasec: What was wrong with the photo with her dad? American Girl Image?
There was NOTHING trashy about those photo's.

Oh, YES there was! Those photos with her hair dyed, the excessive make-up, the illusion of toplessness, and lying suggestively across her dad's lap are all totally inappropriate for a 15-year-old! Save it 'till she's 18! This is the kind of encouragement the men of the FLDS justify. It does blow her wholesome Hannah Montana- girl next door image, and I won't be exposing my 7-year-old daughter to it! She's being set up to be the next Brittney Spears. Remember when she was portrayed as the school-girl virgin, whilst fooling around with Justin Timberlake???

IMHO
We can't have it both ways. I mean we can't say it's okay for her to pose that way and then get upset that grown men in Texas had sex with underage girls at a religious compound.

Why do men do things like this? Am I crazy or alone in thinking that we just add fuel to the fire by exploiting young girls in this way?

As adults, those over 21, we have got a choice as to what we want to do with our bodies. Fifteen is JUST TOO YOUNG! You don't know what you want and you are too scared to say what you really think in most cases.

I believe that her FATHER, should have nixed that picture!

Art is one thing, but come on! We don't need to get our appreciation of art in this way..I say go to an art museum.

I guess I am a bit riled up today. I just heard on the news that of the 50 some odd teenage girls that left that Texas FLDS compound 31 of them are now pregnant or have had children already! These are girls under the age of 15!

I say the picture of MC was too provocative. I also say that if you are okay with that kind of thing then don't get outraged at the terrible sexual acts being perpetuated on young children.

We are either for them or against them.

I for one am sick and tired of grown men getting their kicks with young underage children!
I'm one whose not having it both ways! Neither are appropriate, and yes it does give the message to the sicko men of the FLDS that 15-year-old minors are fair game.

With all due respect Linas I doubt the men of FLDS are looking at pictures in Vanity Fair. Then again anything is possible.

You don't know how deep their hypocracy runs. Warrens Jeffs was caught in shorts (forbidden dress) and a RED (forbidden color) Cadillac Escalade. They also for an isolated society that isn't even allowed to read, had numerous high-tech devices- laptops, flash drives, cameras.
