I will not post it, but there is a post-mortem photograph on NaMus of the "Norm" tattoo. There are also two articles about the finding of the body of which most is reproduced in the NaMus posting. The only thing it added was the body was found near the landfill, in the water.

The tattoo looks homemade, prison or low quality, it has very uneven coloring. I guess his name was Norman.

Norm was updated today in NamUs but I can't see any difference, must be on law enforcement side. What's weird is my contact is out of the office, so maybe it was the ME who updated it.

I didn’t even think to look at unclaimed
I see that his profile was created the day his UP profile was removed, but it was only made public today.

He was identified as Norton H. Secore and is now in NamUs Unclaimed as UCP142286.

I suspect he won't be in there long. He was 44 and lived in Hammond, Indiana, a Chicago suburb.

You are really good at this then. I try to track but I only figured out the Bradford beach bone was removed, not norm. And never would have checked unclaimed. Guess I should do that now too.

Checking newspapers, norm was… troubled. Stole cars. Crashed cars, lots of crime.

The last record I see of him is in 1972

His UCP profile was modified - his name was changed to Norton H. Secore, Jr. Not sure if anything else was added/changed.

Looking at the tattoo again and it’s rather obvious that it says “Norton” and not “Norm”. Hindsight I guess?

I still see norm. Maybe that was the nickname.

Here’s my attempt at tracing over the letters to make them more clear.

They did Really crappy writing for an identity tattoo. Should have done block letters.

Still in Claimus. I wonder if they are having trouble finding living family.
TBH I doubt they have looked. With only one missing persons officer, i'm not sure who handles trying to find family.
