I find it quite interesting that they are still not confirming where the sighting was. Don't they realize this puts the public in danger?!

Uhm...why wouldn't he just put on a tshirt and jeans instead? (Looking up at the sky now.)

Because that would be too logical to do? LOL

This guy doesn't appear to be too bright if ya know what I mean?

My thought on the uniform..and yes, I'm looking at the black hole now =)

I wonder if he feels the military has protected him "thus far" so to speak....well maybe not RIGHT now in the moment, but up until all this happened....Maybe he feels more secure in his uniform, it commands respect from certain types of people when they see a person in uniform etc?

Coming back down to planet earth now ^^

OK Let's take bets now on what he will be found wearing! LOL I will take civilian clothing for one night's sleep of someone else watching the news! Anyone?

Does he have to be in them...Or just have them in his posession?

  • #305
LOL I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one then. : ) He isn't a rocket scientist, but jeans and tshirt seem like a normal thing to wear when people are looking for a Marine from Camp Lejeune!

Part of me is bitter and says they don't give a damn...Noone cared when she went missing, what's a couple more people.

Or do they feel since the one he was after is "gone" that he's "unlikely" to do more violence. But My gosh, can you imagine what this could turn into if a "Concerned citizen" tried to "take him down" (Think of the 911 caller and how he felt when he spotted GMH)

More info on the blood splatters. Two rooms involved:

Before, they were talking about a possible suicide. And this note said something about a suicide. But now the sheriff, Sheriff Brown, is saying, no, it looks more like a murder. And with this blood spatter in two different rooms -- apparently, there was some blood spatter in the garage and one other room, Anderson.

And apparently there had been some -- they had made some effort to try to clean it up and even try to paint over it. But the chemical luminol that they use, you go into the room, you turn the lights down in the room, and you can spray it on the wall, and it will glow blue for about 30 seconds, even trace evidence, even trace amounts of the blood that is not even visible to the eye and blood that has been painted over.

Regarding Military stance on fetal homicide:

Well, the military situation is somewhat different.

On April 18 of last year, President Bush signed a -- an executive order modifying the manual for courts-martial to implement some legislation Congress enacted not long before that, that would create another offense. And that other offense, in the case of intentional killing of a fetus in utero -- that is, an unborn child -- constitutes another murder.

I will put my money on civilian clothes. Most military folks take off their uniform once they get home and change into civis and I know like even my husband will come home and change before he goes to the stores or out to eat or anything...

Maybe changing clothes at each stop just to confuse people???

Sheriff Brown said this morning that the suspect was dangerous and according to evidence found at the home that no one should try to confront him because they didn't know what he would do if he were "cornered". He said only to report him to authorities. He did not say if he was armed or possibly armed either.

SS:

I'll take you up on that bet. If I lose can I do the news coverage on the weekend though instead of a week day? LOL

wow! hadn't heard all that! I wonder if the military murder of an unborn child would be capitol or first degree murder or just manslaughter or what? I'm sure it would be different in the military.

Not if he is still driving his truck. That wouldn't make any sense. The truck and tag number are like a huge billboard.

  • #315
Does he have a gun on him? Isn't one issued to a Marine?

  • #317
I know when I was in the army we had weapons issued to us, but we couldn't keep them on us unless we were in the field. On base they had to be turned in.

I don't think it's been CONFIRMED yet that he is either driving his truck or is on a Greyhound bus. Has it??

Only what he have heard on Fox. Their blurb is that they are still looking for him in the black truck.
