Yeah i had seen the same thing. I heard she was former then later on i heard that she is currently in the Marines. I'll try to go back and find it. I am having alot of issues with the website here today. Might have to do with me having a zillion other web pages open too. :waitasec:

Last Friday the Sheriff stated at a news conference that it was a Former Female Marine. But I do not think that the Sheriff knows what he is doing half the time.

Also the due date could of been incorrect, does happen...Doctor's error...and/or she gave the wrong last period date.
She could of been 9 months along and a late delievery.
1st ones they say are usually late, mine was right on the due date...

I'm just thinking out loud....

I'd heard another report that the Feb. date was incorrect and she was due the first part of January. If she was 8 mo. pregnant in mid-Dec., she'd be due in January not February.

At this point, I really don't trust the military there.
What if they got all the dates mixed up....

The way I understood it about the protective order was that it was issued and automatically renewed after one month, then again at two months.

But it's entirely possible I am completely wrong about this, too. I have read so much between this case and the hiker, that I can't keep it straight.

In a statement issued Sunday evening, the Marines said they are investigating what information Lauterbach's superiors had and what steps were taken regarding the case.
"It is premature to discuss those actions until the review is completed," said Lt. Col. Curtis Hill, a Marine Corps spokesman.

I'm sure this is due to media attention. And I doubt the truth ever comes out. The Marines will stick together and back each other (Males that is). The female marines really ought to be scared right now. There seems not to be any protection for them.

LOL If I am not mistaken, when you file rape allegations in the military only the protection/restraining order is automatically issued due to the nature of the charge. 3 were issued in her case. Again, I will have to back to find the link to the article where I read this...but I believe that is what it said.

First of all, IIRC, the rape happened during the first two weeks of April and she filed her complaint soon thereafter. At the time, a restraining order was issued and in May, one of them, (her or him?) was assigned to another end of the building.

At the time of her disappearance, she was 8-8 1/2 months pregnant (I've heard both). Which would mean that she got pregnant in April and due in January, which fits the time-line.

IMO, the case most likely got extended over and over, which would be the reason for THREE protective orders, each issued at a court hearing or whatever.

I heard that the last time she talked to her mom, something had gone wrong with the case and she may have droppped the charges at that time. With that said, IIRC, because she wanted to drop the charges, they were going to file charges against her for filing a 'false report,' and she faced dismissal from the military.

FWIW, it's not uncommon for someone that's being abused, to 'report the abuse,' and later drop the charges and have the pros file charges against them for filing a 'false report.' Also FWIW, I know someone that happened to, he did abuse her and SHE ended up paying for it bacause she dropped the charges. She's FREE now, thank God! Left the after he tried to literally kill her!

Anyway, it was probably because she was going to drop the charges that her foster mom was trying to talk her into giving away the baby. This may have been the reason she saw him that last day she was alive.

Also, I heard or read, that the neighbor that's been giving LE information, said they saw the suspect driving Maria's car during that week, while his wife's car was NOT there. FWIW

Also, FOX has a reporter on the ground in NC. He said awhile ago, that AFTER Maria went missing, the suspect acted normally, according to neighbors, and even had a ............BBQ...............for the neighbors at his home!!!!!!!!!!!

OhMyGosh! What the heck does that mean?! Was he trying to cover up the smell of 'flesh?' Oh good grief! This is sickening!

This case really get to me. From the info we have now it would seem logical that he had some type of help whether is was someone who particapated willing or they were manipulated. Laurean appeared to be a master at manipulating people and I would think that with LE not calling the wife a suspect that she was not part of this knownly. However, who bought the
bus ticket? It had to be a woman that was pregnant. I do not see Maria
purchasing a ticket. I wonder if there are other women in his life that might have helped. Are there other rape victims? Another girlfriend? Something or someone is missing in this case.

Back in December when Maria's Mother was interviewed she said that Maria is due "next Tuesday".

Now I don't have the date of that interview, but I know darn well that "next Tuesday" wouldn't have been in February!

If she was raped in April (when she reported it) and due in early January that would compute!

I don't have a link and don't recall what site it was on but it was another blog that was discussing this case. But there was a girl who reported a rape while in the marines and she was NOT protected by them and harrassed. There was another poster who's daughter was raped and murdered while on base and NOTHING ever came of it.

As I said, I don't have a link, so take this FWIW.......after all, anyone can say anything they want on the internet, doesn't necessarily mean it's true. But......................we HAVE seen cases of rape, like the air force,(wasn't it?)

I thought I read or heard, that the ticket was on the front seat of her car??? I do know that they said it wasn't used though, that I'm certain of.

I saw that at the time JDB, but I thought perhaps they were trying to protect her because it was a rape.

You see, AFTER the press realized the case involved a 'rape,' most of the MSM's took her name and picture off their websites, etc and weren't reporting her name for a day or so. Of course, then she was found to most likely be deceased in the suspects yard and the MSM's then AGAIN started reporting her name.

I thought that she was idenified by an employee of the bus station who stated she purchased the ticket and was alone. How could he have forced her to purchase the ticket if she was alone? This is the part of the case that bothers me. I wish we had more information about the ticket and its purchase.

awwww, poor little guy. that just breaks my heart...may he r.i.p.

A boy, she was having a boy....even more reason for wife to be upset,imo
I just can't get it out of my head that she is somehow involved!



Also, they reported on FOX news while the server was busy, that neighbirs are stunned that they didn't know this was taking place. They said the and wife acted like normal. They saw them sitting on their front porch and...get this....they even had a backyard bar-b-que with friends over! :behindbar :furious: all while Maria and her baby lie underground just a few feet away. Sick, sick, sick! I hope they catch him, but it's not looking good.......
