Looking for those articles earlier, I ran across where they were looking for another female. It was in the first few pages of the first thread, I think. I never heard another mention of it tho. Hmmmm...could be the missing link.

It would be interesting to know if there was another person that went AWOL at the same time

Good question! I believe she would have to be at a military hospital unless it was an emergency situation...but I am not positive.

Now days military can pick their own doctors & hospital along as their insurance pkg. covers them. Still there are a few who still choose to use military hospital. My friend had her son at hospital in Laguna Beach, even though Naval hospital in the town where she lives.

Maybe it's just me, but the wife goes into the house and the walls are splattered with blood, he made attempt to paint over the blood on the floor (reportedly)...how could she not have noticed all this blood. With Tricare (military insurance) Active Duty is no charge, and it doesn't have to be a MTF (Military Treatment Facility)

In fact, there is a big shortage of MTF's across the country, so many locations are using civilian facilities.

I'm pretty sure that in Jacksonville, NC (Camp Lejeune area) that ob patients are seen at the local hospital, but I'll check on it.

I do not think it was her but it was a female according to the bus station employee and she appeared to be pregnant. This was one of the reason they gave for not looking for her sooner. That they verified with the bus station that it was her that made the purchase. So, if it was a pregnant felmale that made the purchase and it was not her then who???? Is there another women in the picture that we are not aware of. I wonder if they have any other females that have gone AWOL since this started

Seems we are all missing one key point. They saw Maria drive off in her car. if it was some other female they would have found fingerprints in the car other then Maria.Someone on thread one said. maybe he promised to meet her in El Paso where he had realitives

It goes back to what possible reason did Maria have for purchasing a ticket to El Paso, TX when her baby was almost due? Makes no sense really. Even if the person at the bus station swore it was her...I believe it was him covering up the fact she was dead and he had to make it seem she was running away. I just don't think it was her that bought the ticket.

I don't think it was Maria either but it could very well be someone dressed in her uniform and that made the ticket agent positive it was her.

wouldn't the bus station have cameras??? surely so ??? if so, they should be able to verify if it was actually her who bought the ticket or someone else.....

That myspace is not Christina's. The person even changed the "name" on it to "I am not Christina..."

Tha depends on what type of relationship they had. If she was living in an abusive relationship with him and he had a very violent temper then she might have ask about the about the paint but was not given an answer. She could have been to frighten to push the issue. I am sure she probable knew something happen but was not given the complete story until she got the letter. It was said that she found the letter at 4:00 in the morning. What would she be doing up at that time unless she had maybe been up all night
fighting with him or waiting up for him to come home. I think until LE gives us more information on this part of it we will not know. LE did say that no deal was offered to obtain the information that lead to were abouts of Maria.

This would imply that they had an relationship that was more then co-workers. Do you think he promised to run off with her. Was she originally
attracted to him. If so then why the rape charges. Boy, this case has really caught my attention. I have lurked at WS for about 3 yrs with an occasion post here and there but this case has changed that.

You guys are making my brain work overtime today. LOL If I am not mistaken, when you file rape allegations in the military only the protection/restraining order is automatically issued due to the nature of the charge. 3 were issued in her case. Again, I will have to back to find the link to the article where I read this...but I believe that is what it said.

Im catching up so this may have been posted already - but could the 3 PPO's be for the people that were also harassing her? Remember, it was stated that she was receiving nasty phone calls, she had been slugged in the face, her car was keyed etc....

I think they are reporting three because it had to be renewed every 90 days.

Yeah i had seen the same thing. I heard she was former then later on i heard that she is currently in the Marines. I'll try to go back and find it. I am having alot of issues with the website here today. Might have to do with me having a zillion other web pages open too. :waitasec:

Some of the facebook posters refer to her (the wife) as being active...Others have posted that Maria could have been leaving the marines since was considered active but a single parent? Not sure if that's acurate but it was one of the ongoing conversations. Maybe because it was a newborn? But then I think of those that being deployed w/ children so it doesn't make much sense to me. BUT I have no knowledge of military "life" or protocol, so alot of this isn't making sense to me!

Do we know for sure that he was dropping the charges, I have heard both that she was and that she had not.
