Lmao, will that be six total so far?

LOL You remembered! I got about 10 more ornaments off the tree by Saturday night. Then I went in and worked (overtime) the night shift Sat night. Came home and crashed all day Sunday... except to get up, use the BR, and to read here for any news updates.

Went in to work today and hated not knowing anything till I got home.
I rushed out of my office, but had to stop on the way home, at the Post Office for my son.

Sometimes RL just gets in my way.

I sure appreciate all the posting today.

However, I missed where you found out the baby's name is Gabriel.

i see no highlights...a couple of yours about when the sheriff found out about the case...that's it....

it's ok...i'll maybe catch part of her repeat in betw Greta's show;)

Those WERE the highlights. He was only on for a few minutes and for most of the time he and Nancy spoke over each other. Plus, they went to about 5 commercials in the middle of him talking. Mainly, it was just that he was trying to explain that the military didn't give his office information right away and he invited Nancy Grace's producers to come to his office and look at the files. He and Nancy were pretty testy with each other right at first, but then came to an understanding in the end. He came out with some real "Sheriff Brown" sentences -- wish I could remember exactly what they were. Something like, "Now, don't rhetoric over me, Miss Nancy." :)

There are two jurisdictions. The murder is a civilian criminal case, but the rape is a military criminal case. No way either one is going to drop their case, I don't think. Unless he gets the DP, maybe, for the murder.

Thanks to both of you for the answers - So if Gabrielle's DNA comes back appropriate to his more than likely daddy, he (🤬🤬🤬) would be facing 2 counts of murder or did I misunderstand?

It was mostly Nancy asking a question, the sheriff hemmy-hawing, Nancy asking him to just answer the question, him hemmy-hawing and in between him trying to answer Nancy's Qs, asking, "Are ya still with me?", and then fade out to a commercial.

And then she covered the very interesting on-going saga of Britany Spears.

Well, if he killed the baby, I don't see what difference it makes whether he's the daddy. Could make a difference in the rape case -- now that Lauterbach is not around to testify. He could also be charged by the military for running away.

I know that now, in the big scheme of things, the rape charge is Minor (sentencing wise) compared to what they are up against BUT - can they still obtain DNA on Gabrielle, and still charge him w/ rape...Would His (🤬🤬🤬') Dna be on file being in the military?

*graphic maybe for some* Is there a point when a body "is too far gone" to obtain dna? But if they can find his fist then surely they've recovered enough to do further testing yes? Part of it is for selfish reasons, some have stated that baby killers are not well liked in Prison, I imagine others knowing you killed your own unborn child who was very close to being born, makes you fare a bit worse (Hopefully, having fingers crossed)*

Wait - if it really came down to it - not sure how allowable this is, but wouldn't Gabrielle, as well as C's Daughter "A" (their two year old - I know names are not allowed to be used, is first initial ok?) Share some of the same DNA?

Sorry if it's been answered in one of the other threads..but I couldn't recall seeing it..
Good evening! Yes they can get DNA from the baby. Prosecuting him for rape it needs to be proved it was rape, so even if he wasn't facing murder charge I don't think he could be tried for rape. For example, even though the baby is probably his, he and Maria could've had a consensual relationship (affair). In the military he could be discharged for adultery though, I believe.

Unfortunately in NC the "Laci and Conner" law hasn't been adopted.

I hope Greta has someone interesting, other than the sheriff.

I think an abduction or kidnapping in the commission of another crime, murder, plus we know now that he can also be charged with robbery which also trumps the murder giving it the mitigating factor of the death penalty.

Unfortunately, I believe this man will be put to death and not live to a natural death, Unfortunate for his soul. But justifiably righteous.

Now, I can have peace knowing if christina is involved, and I believe she is, she may get immunity due to the fact le wants details. I'm happy with knowing if she did it too, the danger she faces in the Judgement.

I want autopsy details, a little more facts about the crime scene. Anything actually would be great.

Goodnight all, I'm going to bed. Thanks for all the info posted here, I don't have cable any longer and your my only life line to Maria and Gabrielle.

I love his name, Maria was the best mother without a single fault during her motherhood, most of us can't say that. I believe their in Heaven, for this is a faultless mother and a child of God, both united forever.

Peace!

i agree with you ....i'm definately on the fence about the wife...until i see that she's been arrested, i don't think she's involved....

Not sure the wife is involved either. I think there were things she should have noticed. But there is no telling what he told her.

Again what I got out of it was that Nancy was asking, since he got the case dec 19' 2007. Why did it take 18 days, jan 7, 2008 to find out of the rape.
No one went into the murders house or looked around the property, zip.
Example, stacy Peterson case, she was listed as missing and the cops got right on it. They didn't wait for more info, they searched right away.
I think Nancy was trying to get at, why didn't they investigate on there own and instead of waiting for more info.

wied that got posted twice, deleted one.

Indy:

No disrespect to you, but you wait until Jewel is born!!! Trust me, your front yard days are gone if you have a back yard that is fenced in!!

We have a pool in the back yard so the kids play in the front.

It's probably a hispanic surname thing. Sometime they even use their grandparents names. I worked banking in Los Angeles for alot of years and their names on their ID's were never the same as on their checks, etc. If I was lucky I could match the name on the check to two of the 3 or 4 on their ID. Whew!

I think women have their maiden names last.
