apparently christina is not a suspect and is free to go where she pleases ... i like the new guy - he's cute :)

Any question asked of Christina, she has provided an answer for.

Yeah, but was it the truth?
That's kind of vague.....

CNN back on again.

Transport her body back to OH for burial.

They cut back away again! Grrr..

Yes, I will miss Brown.

I did not hear Brown say anyone needs to confess etc., I think that was KL's commentary after the fact. lol Brown probably would like to say that though!

The media is thinking as most of us are. From the get go they have asked tough questions about Christina.

Did he??? I missed almost the whole press conference.

No, if I'm not mistaken, those were KOOL's words. Her opinion. I think...

Oh, ah. I thought it was part of the recap of the presser.

This may already be posted somewhere on this thread but just in case it's not, here you go.

Neighbor Wanda Alander said she noticed paint cans stacked on the porch of the Laurean home before Christmas.

"When I went over there, the living room was already painted. (Christina Laurean) mentioned that they were going to do some more stuff, like paint the bedrooms and the garage," Alander said.

Alander also said she saw the couple burning something behind the house around the same time, while her husband claimed he saw Cesar Laurean driving Lauterbach's car.

That doesn't mean they are truthful answers and it doesn't seem like the sheriff's office is clearing her of any involvement.

Ah, OK. Thanks, Guys! I guess it was Kool's personal spin and not something he said.

It was still an interesting presser tho. With Blunt Force Trauma...for me it is a bit easier to understand the blood evidence they found. (It doesn't seem as horrific either for Maria, imo.)

Sewing Deb, another interesting quote from the neighbor:

"He said something about he was supposed to plant some flowers or something,” said one of Laurean’s direct neighbors, Wanda Alander.
"The car that they found...they found it backed up right where the Christmas tree and the trash can is because when I came home from work one day I thought it was my ex's car because she has one just like it-blue Hyundai-I saw him driving it,” said Menard.

Thanks Golfmom! Very interesting.

Her answers will hang her as they compare them with evidence. I remember the same thing being said about Amanda Smith. She gave an answer to every question asked and that she was cooperating. It took 4 months to arrest her.

That is interesting as it quotes 3 of his neighbors! Menard, Wilson, and Alander. All pieces to the puzzle coming together implicates both the husband and the wife, if you ask me!

It sure does, SS. I wonder if all of her help was after the fact or if she actively participated in the murder.

I just watched the interview with Christina's parents and

she talked to him before he left it says? So he just left the letter for her to give to the LE so that she isnt implicated?(to clear her). The mom of Christina said she wasnt going to answer something the reporter asked....did anyone catch what it was she didnt want to answer?

Anyways Christina's dad said she was at work when it took place right? IMO LE should verify that, and if she left early. For him to do what he did and clean, then hide her body, and paint or whatever else he had to do....surely she would have been home by then.

This case sure does feel like a female/jealousy rage-crime....I hope for their daughters sake that I am wrong, but it will all come out in the end.

A photo of 🤬🤬🤬 with wife(her face is blurred out) this photo was shown when they interviewed her parents.

I have to give Sheriff Brown a break here. This isn't a big city and I doubt Brown has EVER had a case where he was on TV every day and night - and certainly not NATIONAL TV. He is reportedly very good at his job and a painfully honest person supporting crime victims - those things make him a good Sheriff - I doubt his "media" persona was considered by the people who elected him - but his record of putting bad guys in jail and getting justice for victims certainly was.

He is feeling heat - because even here we are saying that Maria's death was preventable. ALL he said is that HE (or his office) could NOT have prevented Maria's death - she was dead before his office knew she existed! At least because of his office Maria and Gabriel are NOT still buried in 🤬🤬🤬's backyard.

Sheriff Brown is not a "media" person and he is smart to get a PR Rep in there to handle the press and media. HE needs to spend his time being an INVESTIGATOR and finding 🤬🤬🤬 - and questioning Christina - and developing HARD EVIDENCE of exactly what happened and WHO was involved. And there ARE OTHER CASES for him - Maria is only ONE CASE.

Brown did one thing I was happy about - he threw threw the stone of "fault" right back to the base and it's CO. The BASE could have prevented Maria's death! Their way of handling her "incident" from April till Dec 14th got Maria and her baby DEAD! And this was not just a vague allegation - Maria was PREGNANT! And the CO KNEW NOTHING until Sheriff Brown started digging around - the CO didn't even know Maria was AWOL for 4 days - a pregnant officer about to give birth - did ANYONE even look for her when she didn't show up for 4 DAYS??? What if she had given birth at home or gotten very ill or had an accident and driven off the road and been lying hurt somewhere IN HER CAR (which we know was in 🤬🤬🤬's driveway? No-one even LOOKED FOR HER for 4 days OR later, questioned CL's "story" about her "taking off to El Paso". WHY OH WHY was CL still allowed to be her SUPERVISOR???

The base CO didn't know Maria existed until after she was DEAD and his ignorance and the actions (or non actions) of the men UNDER the CO for 9 months got Maria and Gabriel incinerated like trash and left in a cold lonely grave in CL's back yard. Maria was being a "good soldier" and trying to endure and get thru a really bad situation while pregnant and "soldier up" like a "man". And what did that get her? DEAD!!! and even worse - forgotten by everyone who could have helped her - or at LEAST found her body and gotten the 🤬🤬🤬 into jail before he could RUN. Maria was less than trash to the military - she was invisible and expendable and not even worth the effort to find when she disappeared without warning. And not a single person in command questioned 🤬🤬🤬's STORY for 25 days - and until pressure from Sheriff Brown MADE THEM.

The MILITARY got Maria killed and the only reason we KNOW they did - and it isn't being buried and forgotten (like Maria and Gabriel)- is because Sheriff Brown is telling us. The picture he is painting is ugly and he does have to work with the base again in the future so he is backing off a little now - but at least we KNOW.

It's up to US to make sure this CANNOT happen again to ANY WOMAN - ANYWHERE IN OUR MILITARY.
