this is getting really weird - let's say was friends w/christine, i would doubt she tell her about her wonderful husband's actions - maybe she had enough and went over there to spill the beans since it was getting close to her due date and she just couldn't hold it in anymore - and if that was cesar that used her bank card on 12/24 that was only $400 that will not get you very far - where else could he have gotten money? did they check his account activity prior to his disappearance??

Well, she supposely took out $700 around December 15th. Which depending on how she had her pay set up could have been a payday for her. Then Laurean and his wife should have gotten paid on the 30th at least. And there was the $400 taken from her account by atm on the 24th. Also he had from around 12/15 until 01/11 to plan ans scrape together cash. Maybe from family or credit card advances. Also, I think there has been a mention of
Christina sell yard sale items on a post message board.

I just heard an interview on CNN radio with a woman that worked with both CL and Maria. She left the Marines about a month ago so is no longer active. She said he was a nice, outgoing guy with a lot of friends. She also described him as a wonderful father. She said she talked with Maria frequently and that Maria *was* scared of CL. She said she was going to drop the rape charges because no one believed her. Maria asked her for a copy of the expired order for CL to keep away from her and asked her to write her up a new one. This woman claims she personally wrote a new restraining order for Maria and it was processed and approved before she left the Marines a month ago. She wouldn't give her name or let a picture of her be shown on CNN.

each other.
Vandalia, a suburb of Dayton is a totally different area in
Ohio...
Prospect is a small town NE of Columbus..
They wouldn't have crossed each other in sports, unless
it would be a state playoff situation and then I can
say for certain that opposing teams do not socialize in
those situations.
My youngest son played sports and went to state several
times..
If they knew each other, it would have been through
family or friend introductions and it's just very unlikely..
From the farthest SW city in Ohio ..Cincinnati to
Cleveland..the farthest NE large city, it's only 240 miles..
about 4 hours.
Prospect is small town and Vandalia is a big town (suburb
of Dayton) feel.
I'm certain that they didn't meet by hanging out or through
school functions..

I finally have the info on where Christina was from. She is from Prospect Oh
and Maria grew up in Vandalia. These 2 towns are about 80 miles apart with Vandalia being right outside of Dayton. It is possible the 2 could have know some of the same people. Also, Christina's Grandfather practiced law in the Prospect area. I bet Christina has some excellant legal advise from family.

Another “hmmmmmm” moment from LeJeune timeline:

“On Monday, December 17, 2007 . . . The command requests permission to list LCpl Lauterbach as a deserter in order to release a DD553 to apprehend her. This was an extraordinary step taken in hope of having her returned so the command could ensure she was receiving the proper medical care. Basically, with a DD553, federal resources could be used to assist in locating her.”

So, on the very first day she doesnt show up for work, they declare her a "deserter" ....... however, in the presser yesterday, the spokesman did not mention Command having listed Laurean as a deserter and releasing a DD553 to apprehend him. And he didnt show up for work on 01/11 ... 5 days ago!

LE was already after Laurean when they found out he was gone. He was definitely going to be apprehended if he was spotted by LE because he was a murder suspect.

But nobody's going looking for someone who's UA unless there's a DD553 on him or her. Lauterbach hadn't committed a civilian crime and couldn't have been apprehended without this paperwork being done. Usually, that would not happen for months. They wanted her to be found right away because of her pregnancy and her parents' concerns.

It's not hinky or unfair in this instance.

1. If, as many believe, Cesar has escaped to Mexico, wouldn’t it be easier for the military to get him back from there after declaring him a deserter and issuing a DD553?

They SAID they did it out of concern for the safety of her pregnancy …
BUT what did they do when she got hit in the face by a man on base while she was pregnant?

2. Exactly what did Marines actually DO to apprehend her? Anything? If so, they didn’t mention it in the timeline ..... and if not, they were hoping to sweep her under the rug.

Also, Marines LeJeune found out he was gone last Friday 8:00 a.m. 01/11 when he was absent without leave from his job – just 3 weeks after Maria (his accuser) had disappeared.

This sort of blows the "she was not scared of him" statements from the MC right out of the water and into orbit, doesn't it. Lets see, at this point here are the lies and misinformation and inaccuracies from the Marine Corp
Maria WAS scared of and said so
Maria was accusing of rape right up till the day she died (I think she "adjusted her statement" to get off her back and protect her baby from being labeled the child of rape - she obviously already loved Gabriel and wanted him)
Maria and weren't friendly
Maria's due date was Jan 8th and Gabriel was conceived April 11th during a rape or assault of Maria by (we are told)
said he did NOT have sex with Maria or rape her and was believed
MC was not going to act on Maria's allegation until Gabriel was born and DNA could be used to prove paternity - this was going to put in a very ugly corner - and yet MC did not feel had anything to do with Maria's sudden disappearance
was facing some very serious consequences when Gabriel was born - and yet when Maria went missing the MC did not subject to further questioning, surveillance or even GIVE HIS NAME to the Sheriff's office

I HOPE and PRAY more people who were involved or saw or heard anything come forward to support Maria. is obviously a bit sociopathic, had everyone charmed and was cool and calm even while Maria and Gabriel were lying burned and buried in his back yard. It takes a pretty heartless and cold SOB to walk around for 25 days like nothing ever happened as the noose grows tighter and tighter. I hope Maria haunts till his dying DAY!

AND BTW, I think is in Mexico - now it's not about getting away so much as taking the DP OFF the table when he's apprehended.

I think everyone failed her, the Marines, her family
and the .
I don't know how she did 8 months of pregnancy
under those circumstances. She was isolated from
family and it seems that at least one of them
considered her a compulsive liar.
The Marines were worried about the Marines
instead of her..
I hope she can see us from her place with the

Since Xtina is still maintaining she wasn't there, we may never know how Maria ended up at the Laureans.

-We know her car ended up there, but we do not know if Maria drove it there?
-We do not know if Xtina called Maria and set up a meeting with HER? ( I would LOVE to see the phone records of CL and Xtina and Maria
for Dec 12-19th)
Were Maria and CL were both at work the 14th?

Here are some possible scenarios
Maria was lured there to meet with Xtina?
CL tampered with Maria's car and so he offered to "give her a ride" somewhere?
Maria was kidnapped at home or while out somewhere and they brought her car over later..once she was dead and they had her keys?
Someone ELSE brought her over to the house at 's request - maybe he said he needed to talk with Maria in private, off base and he knew she would never agree to come over on her own?
Since CL was Maria's supervisor perhaps he asked her to come over and pick up some important piece of paperwork?
Maybe CL said his car was broken and asked Maria to come pick him up for WORK? Maybe he even arranged for no-one else to be available to come over to pick him up or pick up an important document?
Maybe he charmed her into coming over? Maybe he said he'd sign paperwork saying he was the father or saying that he did assault her? Maybe he said his wife and child were going to be there?
Maybe CL offered Maria MONEY? For the baby expenses?

There is just no way to know - and we may never know - but we do know Maria died in that house and was there.

This about the keys brought a Hmmmmmmm to my mind:
As far as I know, Maria’s housemate, Durham, did not report any evidence of a struggle inside his house ….. so that makes me think she left her house voluntarily.

BUT if she was thoughtful enough to have apologized to Durham in the farewell note “she” wrote to him, then it’s inconsistent with that thoughtfulness for her to fail to leave him her key to his house (so he could give it to the next roommate he'd be forced to find).

I’m starting to think she never went back to her house when she left work at noon on 12/14 …. And that she either wrote the note under duress after being abducted by and/or Xtina ……. Or that one of them wrote the note and used her keys to get into her house and remove some of her items and plant the note.

Either that or Durham knows more than he's telling!

The Mexicans don't care about our military and whether someone is a deserter. What do you want the Marines to do, invade Mexico?

By the time Laurean left, declaring him a deserter was sort of trumped by declaring him a murder suspect. The local LE has jurisdictional priority in the murder investigation.

The thing is, someone being declared a deserter does not cause military police to go out and look for them. It just flags their ID so that civilian LE will hold them if they stop them for some other reason. The military itself does not search for people having gone UA or becoming deserters.

And as far as Maria being punched in the face, do you have a link that says she reported that, because I understood that she didn't report it except to her family.

I don't think this was a case of widespread anti-female feelings by the powers that be at Camp LeJeune. The Commanding Officer of the base is a woman, as are many of the top leaders. But I do think there was a problem in Maria and Laurean's unit. A big problem.
