Missing cell phones

Someone earlier in a thread reminded us of the people who were found in a tree-that was ALL over the news. I am sure there are very few people who didn't know about it. Perhaps the cell phones are in a tree? Dropped through a hole in the trunk, what would be the odds of finding them? Pinging away and unable to be found...Horrible thought to add on...what if Lisa had been disposed of that way too?

Was that the case in Ohio last year? A mother, her neighbor, and her son, disappeared. The daughter who was about 15 survived the ordeal as the perp separated her from the others, but she heard the sounds of her mother, brother, and family friend being killed. Police found the girl in the perp's house, and if my memory serves me right, through cell phone pings. The bodies couldn't be found and finally the perp plea-bargained - life in prison instead of death penalty. He had dropped the bodies into a hollow tree - about 10 feet up the tree.

Who was on the other line? hmmm LE knows and isn't telling us. Maybe in Deborah's next interview, she will let us know who LE told her it was. She will say it's a made up lie and then we get to know who she called. lol

I wouldn't call that confirmation. Fox is the news outlet that reported it before. I think confirmation would be another news organization independently reporting it.

Deborah confirmed in the interview that LE questioned and accused her of making a 2:30am call and I think she also said 'phone activity' alluding to more than just the one phone call. She also said she was shown pings that were close to the house. She believes it was all lies to get her to confess.

If they had record of that call at 2:38 a.m. they should know who she called unless if it was a text. But if she had called someone, they would know that person's number and get records and pings from that phone right? If they maybe have the other's phone records did their phone ping in that area too? If it didn't, then they should be searching in other areas as to where the other phone pinged.

This leads me to believe that either that call was actually a text or the person she called was right in the area. Because all we see are searches based in the vicinity around the home.

When a phone company puts a restriction on for late payment, they only restrict ONE of the phones, the master phone. So ONE of the phones would be able to make outgoing calls, even if the account was on restriction.

The information about the 2:30 a.m. text or call and 'pings' comes from what the parents told Fox News about what LE supposedly said to DB during an interview. There was an earlier 'leak' of that same information that supposedly came from a source close to LE or something like that, but until and unless I hear the info about the cell phone activity directly from LE, i'm going to consider it unconfirmed.

As we know, LE is allowed to make things up during questioning to try to get suspects to confess. I can't imagine a detective or higher ranking LE official blabbing about what would be a crucial bit of evidence in a highly sensitive case to the media, but a rank and file officer or a civilian clerk or someone might have just heard snippets about the interrogation technique and gone to the media with that.

Of course, it could be absolutely true and valid, but until someone in LE says they actually do have documented cell phone activity I'm not giving any credence to this info. MOO.

I agree. Maybe DB attempted to get ahold someone but, never reached anyone so maybe it all comes down to her outgoing calls and her cell phone pings.

Yes, they had two phones, his and hers. The 3rd phone had been given to them by her father. I am going to assume that their two phones were a family plan of some kind because it is by far the cheapest way to have two phones. So then only one of those two phones would have been restricted to incoming calls.
I agree that maybe the relatives phone might still work, but I am not sure if it had been activated yet. When I got my new phone and gave my old one to my niece, she had to wait and have it activated before she could use it.

1. Possibly the police found the disposable phone that belonged to the accomplice in the wooded area Oct 6. They then pulled the couple to the wooded area and said wtf there is a text on this phone that says "ready when you are" at 2:38, and it is sent to your phone, DB. What's up? Debbie says they must have stolen the phones and used them, no more questions thank you, get Tacopina on the phone!

I know they were together, and they were speaking about the phones, and they said that they realized the baby was gone, and they went to call 911 and then realized the cells were gone, but then dad remembered he had his work phone in his pocket. I KNOW I saw him say that. AmI crazy?

EAT:And take a look at his big professional work truck. He would have to have a cell phone at his job with him. He needs to be in constant contact with the crew and with suppliers. Our electrician is on his cell half the time here, and some of the work he does he does some check type things WITH his phone,checking currents or what not.

No, I think it is 1] DB's broken phone. 2] JI's personal phone, and 3} a relatives phone given to DB to replace her broken one.

You are correct - not crazy! I remember seeing the same video that you described. The parents could not find the cell phones, then realized that JI had his work cell phone in his pocket. They used that phone to call 911. I will have to think which interview - not ABC. Probable HLN. I think they had 3 additional home cell phones. 1 belonged to each parent, and 3rd phone from grandparent.

I am now remembering that statement by JI. Is it the one where they were sitting on the curb or steps? So, I wonder why their attorney today said they called 911 from the neighbor's house.
