It's interesting that she was interviewed 4 times.

Unless it's Lisa's address, please don't post anyone's home address here. *Not a mod, just been here awhile*

Okay - just figured public records were okay to post. Still learning the ropes.

I've done it. Phone in pocket, sit down, numbers get hit when you sit, and voila, pocket dial, totally random number. However, IME, it is MUCH more common to pocket dial a number that already programmed in, but it doesn't have to be.
Pocket dials can also dial the last number dialed (maybe not relevant to this case tho).

But the cell phones were restricted and couldn't make outgoing calls, right? It that is to be believed, then I think the call came from JI's phone to MW. Or they were lying about the cell phones being restricted....why??

Has it been ever determined what that means, restricted? As in, they has no service due to an unpaid bill? Or is it just speculation at this point.

I already said I'm not sure I believe her. However, she does not have to know the Irwins at all in order for them to be able to sleuth her address and phone number.

Starting to remind of a Zenida Fernandez Gonzalez story.

I'm going to give the lady the benefit of the doubt, seeing that I see no reason to disbelieve what she's saying at this point in time.

I can see several possible motives for her to lie about getting a call from a phone that is connected to a kidnapping case.

But she could be telling the truth. Time will tell, hopefully.

Pretty sure DB and JI said that they couldn't call out on the phones.

They're pretty forgiving about newbies, lol. I made a lot of mistakes too at first.

The way I see it, it is public record, but there are still people that don't know how to search those records, so putting out there on a public forum is just kinda asking for trouble. Not only could WS get in trouble, but what if a nut case got it in their head that SB was the guilty party, and they were going to go get Lisa back themselves? Or people start showing up at her house to ask her random questions that she has likely answered for the police a quadrillion times by now. Stranger things have happened.

Here is what bothers me about DB and the phones.
If LE told me that a call was made from my house at 2:38 AM, I would say, "Well, get on it! Find those phones! Find my baby!"
But what did DB do? Claimed LE must have been lying to her. Because she is smarter than LE and she knows this is impossible. They were only saying that to try and trap her.

Sorry, the constant denial is very telling, IMO.

If true, that means she's also lying to LE because I can't see her saying something completely different on tv than what she told to LE.

I think with the new revelation of the bickering going on with lawyers, I don't know if it's clear anymore what DB is actually doing and not doing.

Jersey was picked out of a photo line up by MT.

It has been reported that Jersey knew the people across the street from Lisa's house and now it is being reported the girl who received the call has been through lisa's neighborhood with her ex-boyfriend.

I can too, but in those cases I don't think the person would come forward to the media to go public. They'd lay low.

This is starting to sound like the Bermuda triangle. What is it about this particular neighborhood? This particular family, even?

Like, recently, or was this in the past? I will say this, she's unforgettable looking - if she HAS been walking through the neighborhood, the folks would remember it.

BBM As far as I know, Nextel phones are the only Sprint phones (and Sprint is who restricts service, right?) that have SIM cards. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't had sprint in a few years.

What about smart phones like Blackberrys and IPhones?

I've got a feeling that we're dealing with Blackberry phones here for some reason. I think that a phone carrier would replace just a regular broken cell phone but they usually charge to to fix or replace a Blackberry or other smart phone. Mind you, I'm in Canada so it might be entirely different in the US.

MOO

But to pocket dial a random number that is in your correct area code as well? That seems a bit unrealistic to me......

Um hm. Actually, though, you wouldn't have to dial the area code. Dialing 7 random numbers and then "send" would call the number in the same area code automatically. If there was that such number within that area code.

The odds of that happening approach zero, as they say. Occam's razor.

Somebody, whoever or for whatever reason, dialed that number with their fingers.

When confronted by LE about the phone call, DB *herself* said that LE was lying to her because the bill had not been paid and they could not call out on the phones. I can't remember at this point which interview it was, but it was DB who said the phones were cut off due to non-payment.

Another lie, it seems. Regardless of the reason a call was made to MW that night, DB lied about being unable to use the phones due to non-payment of the bill. At least one of them worked, obviously. And if one lies about the condition of the phones that night, it's not a stretch that the phones being stolen is a lie, too. DB is very, very sensitive about those phones. Makes you really wonder why.
