Do any local Georgian's remember early December reports from Athens Georgia warning about a man in a white van attempting to offer rides/'taxi service' to UGA students and young adult patrons frequenting the local bars in downtown Athens???

Atlanta local news warned late night patrons to be aware of this man, who made multiple attempts to 'pick-up' young people leaving the local bars late at night...

Hilton has been reported to have been in Athens... according to Atlanta local reports which I read earlier today...

Makes you wonder...

I do remember the "taxi service" van in Athens. Now I wonder if this was the same type ruse that happened to Justin Gaines in Duluth.

OMG, CP... That makes so much sense! Justin was the young man/boy who left Wild Bills after his friends left without him, at his prompting... Correct? OMG... That could be exactly what happened to him... Very logical.

I just wonder if Hilton also used this type of ruse...to obtain victims...

I'm not local, but I do remember that, and who was the student who disappeared leaving a bar?

Maybe GBI needs to have a team of investigators and dogs go into the Dawson Forest and do some further searches. Hilton killed Meredith Emerson and left her body there and if he killed Patrice Endres and Levi Frady and left their bodies there it is possible other victims were left there too.

You guys aren't going to believe this but they are looking at Hilton for another mutilation in Lagrange (Troop County). A woman was found decapitated with hands and feet cut off. She is unidentified but they found a coupon from a Chamblee Domino's Pizza in the bag. LE believes she was killed in the metro Atlanta area and dumped in Lagrange. Hilton's address was Clairmont Rd. in Chamblee.

The dark blue knit hat Hilton is wearing in the dashcam video seems to be very similar to the one seen on the suspect in the Cheryl Hodges Dunlap ATM video.

Does it ever end? It's a bit premature to say for certain, but this guy might just end up being one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history.

"On Monday, July 11th 2005, my cousin and I made an early morning trek down Sassafrass Mountain into Cooper Gap. The Gap is almost 11 miles from the summit of Springer, heading northbound into the Georgia wood."

"Once we got into Cooper Gap, on the right hand side as you descend, a white van (possibly a VW) was parked and camped with a wet dog tied up outside. The dog was medium-sized and reddish brown. It barked at us as we passed, but no one seemed to be home."

"That is when this older gentlemen who I would have guessed in his 60's came into the shelter. He wore a day pack and on a leash was the very same dog who had barked at us back at the Gap.

He wore running shoes and a black knit hat covered his thin white hair. A white neatly-trimmed beard covered his oval face.

The first thing he said to us was that a group of about 6 hikers were behind us and asked us about our itinerary. We told him our story as we unpacked our stove.

He told us he couldn't do anything but day-hike these days because of the pain in his knees. Said he camped in that white van down in the Gap and wondered all over the place camping for free in this area while mixing in dayhikes with his dog.

We asked about the dog.....how old it was....did he ever put a pack on it? Those kind of things.
He explained how he disliked people who take their dogs on thru-hikes because it was so mean to the dog. No one knew how painful it can be on a dog's paws. He pulled out a pair of tweezers and held them up.
"I always carry these and stop and check on her every mile or so....it's good to always check for stickers and rocks on their paws," He said."

Posting later describes the hat as a "beanie."

I was reading online this morning, it was under Atlanta News google, which will pull up our local stations: WXIA channel 11, WSB channel 2 , or FOX46. I also googled ajc/ Atlanta Journal Constitution and Athens Banner Herald and read all the articles online on all stations and in all newspapers locally. Sorry, I don't remember which one said witnesses/or LE placed him in Athens as well... I'm at work now, but I will look for it when I get home, if you can't find it by then....

Your husband needs to get out more, there are alot of strangers yet to meet! teasing... Yeah...I agree...Hilton comes across as a good ol' boy type.

The guy who reported Hilton trespassing says Hilton was beligerent to him. Seems to be SOP for him. Rude, nasty and mean to almost everyone he encounters, but as nice as can be when confronted by Law enforcement. The guy was definitely a manipulator.
