Missing Georgia hiker--Meredith Emerson, 24 #3

I find the broken arm part hard to believe because in court pictures his arm isn't in a cast or even a sling. I do think Maredith would have put up a fight, but the broken arm doesn't jive with the pictures we have seen of him in court yesterday.

I agree. And they show him standing and sitting alot...which would be really hard with broken ribs of any kind. I wish it was true though.

I understand that by him decapitating his vic's he is leaving his signature but whyyyy? I was watching a show one time (and this is going to sound so horrible) but it said that decapitating someone is extremely difficult, it's not like one swipe and your done it explained it in detail and it's definately a process... :furious:

I have a coworker that watched the videos of the decapitations of reporters in the middle east - and he called me over to watch one. It's definitely a process, especially if you're a drifter without access to a super duper knife sharpener. Absolutely takes strength and time.

Killing someone is one thing. Dismemberment is a whole 'nother level of horrific to me.

When the trail split, he went the other way than we did. My husband noticed that when we got to the bottom of the trail, the suspect, Hilton, was behind us. I don't know if he doubled back to see if I was alone or not."

The WS gremlin took it! Or I overlooked it. I haven't seen a release yet of both of Meredith's ATM transactions. That's one of the things I want to see. Other things I want to see.

Endres was several miles (6-10) away from Emerson. Frady was a mile and half from Emerson.

The person who called out to Dandy was a woman who happened to be walking by the Chevron and had heard the case and new Hilton from the local dog park. She saw the dog, called his name and the dog responded. Then Hilton came out of lurking...chills...I don't have the link off hand. But I think it's as WSBTV.com.

I've been working on a timeline and got distracted by LDS hometeachers stopping by. I'm not LDS at all (I smoke, drink and cuss). So I'm not sure why they stopped by. But the woman is going to help me by teaching me how to use the church geneology records to help with cases like this one. Cool huh? If you aren't familiar with the LDS Church, they have the largest record database in the world.

I'm very involved in genealogical research and you're right--if anyone has records on people, the LDS Church does. They are meticulous record-keepers and I have found their databases so helpful while doing my own family history research.

On the day Patrice Endres was missing someone notified police that they saw a white chevy cargo van parked outside her salon....

I'm not as familiar with the Endres case as some of you are, but wasn't the witness who stated she saw the van outside the salon later discredited? I'll have to look for the link where I read that and get back to you...

No such video has been released by LE, but I'll bet it exists. They really have no reason to release it, since they're not trying to find the guy anymore. Right now, releasing it would be for the public's curiousity.

I just had a thought, scary, about a crime that occurred near here. Two elderly sisters were killed, and their murderer has never been found. Is there a thread for possible victims? I wonder if the sisters had gotten stuck and some one offered to help them, but then did the unthinkable. The thing is the sisters throats were slit and I know Meredith was decapitated. I also understand the found North Carolina plated either with him on on his van, so he must have been in the state at some point. Definitely shopping. I'm glad you didn't present yourself as an ideal victim. My pen pal who is a serial killer said he picked up a hooker once who was confident and able looking, so he let her go. She never knew she failed the "victim" test of a serial killer who was intent on killing her. They want easy victims, not ones who will put up a fight.

Next time you go hiking, look waaaaay up in the sky at night. Count your lucky stars.

ETA: that's not the entire video. There's still a conversation going on when it cuts off and notice the dark vehicle approaching. Cherokee Sheriffs Dept and media has stated that it is 20 Minutes long. This release is only 5 minutes.

I hope that person reported everything to the GBI or FBI. They need such information to put the case together. Not only was she lucky, so was her husband...look at the Bryant case. They had a very close call.
