The devil is in the details. Sherrill was neat, so it’s hard to imagine a broom and dustpan in plain view, in her front yard-with broken glass nearby. Janelle saying she didn’t know where Mike got the broom and dustpan wouldn’t have been as shady as a changing story. It should’ve been a question for Mike since he did the sweeping.
Who said Sherrill was neat?

Have you seen pictures of their houses?

That is not the case. Someone with one small low maintenance Yorkie needed house cleaners more than once at Delmar in a two month window.

Yes devil IS in the details. The correct details.

There was also a quote I shall try and find that says Mike was confused over the facts of the day.

Here we go, I could be wrong as Mike isn’t named but who else would it of been?

It makes me wonder why they couldn’t get their story straight. If you are telling the truth it should be easy enough to remember what they were doing at what time I would of thought.
Worsham is basically saying there's nothing to the Mike angle. They cleared up the suspicions you guys are discussing ad nauseum 26 years later is what he means, IMO.

I read it differently :D

He couldn’t keep his story straight and had to go back over it until LE was satisfied. But the fact of the matter is he according to the quote he was “confused”. So add that in with Janelle’s behaviour that day it makes me wonder along with the fact that Janelle couldn’t even remember where the broom came from to sweep up the glass.

If you don’t like this angle you are free to ignore my posts.

Or they were telling the truth. It doesn't even matter if Janelle hated Suzie's guts. Or maybe Janelle WAS blaming Suzie and her mom for the disappearance. Maybe she's a huge brat.

Still need proof on her being involved or knowing something leading to the perps, etc. There's nothing verifiable.

And I don't mind you attacking that angle, just would like something further than what we know.

Did someone say Sherrill needed house cleaners?

A former poster here has cleaned her house. His wife is named in the June 8th article, you can look that up. Her initials are MM. He is DM.

Ok :)

So what is your working theory?

I think someone let into the house that was trusted by Sherrill, and possibly Suzie from April 1992 to June 1992 took an interest in them and had a reason to "take them out." I believe Stacy was a surprise and one of the reasons the crime was expedited and taken elsewhere from the house.

I believe, because this crime has taken so long to solve, that someone with community power manipulated the investigation. I believe there is something extremely interesting about how the cops handled this.

Do you think Sherrill was dating secretly and if so why would she kept quiet about it?

Where you see conspiracy ,I see being in way over your head. The lead detectives seemed more farmer/PD.

I don't see conspiracy necessarily. But I see the investigation being bungled and bobbled pretty hard.

You may be right that they were all just incredibly dumb farmer boys. But, I don't think all of them were. And they were collectively responsible for the "red herrings" issue. They had let the TV crew come into their police department while lie detector tests were given. That sound like typical protocol to you? Even Moore was fuming pissed at that.

Being in denial of your own police force. Of your own community leaders. That's a big reason this is able to last 26+ years. They botched the investigation. Period.

No. Well, maybe somewhat. The papers said over and over she was a private person. Bartt has said this as well. Bartt has said many of her boyfriends often got violent. So she attracted that type.

I think several people close to the Streeters have a good idea who all came over to the house. I bet Nigel has met this person. I bet even Janelle has.

Fact: Sherrill Levitt has a questionable dating history. She had been divorced twice and was moving on amicably from Don Levitt in the years leading up to the disappearance.

It’s odd how Suzie also dated losers. I guess the apple didn’t fall from the tree.

ETA - not blaming Suzie or Sherrill in way!

Internalized misogyny.

Be careful blaming the women. And not the, well you know, the crappy men ;)

I was not blaming the women at all.

If my post implied that I will edit it. It’s just intriguing that both women attracted losers which isnt their fault.

I believe in at least one article it mentions Janelle not wearing shoes and that being another reason to sweep up the glass. Some people have a broom outdoors, that they would never bring in the house because it could have god knows what on it. My mom is OCD lol. It would nice if they pinpointed where Mike got the broom. Would there have been cleaning tools in his car?

Neat is relative. What I consider tidy and what my mom would, would be two totally different things. Some people are OCD other people are clean but relaxed about it, and other people are messy but not gross some people cross into the gross territory by not taking trash out and things like that. Sherrill's house looks clean.

Sherrill's house was clean but it's a stretch to say where she may have had her broom and dust pan on a night when a lot of Suzie's friends and some family were expected by. She could have had it anywhere if there was some light sweeping done while finishing the dresser or Sherrill prepping for Stacy to come by (if Suzie was the 11:15pm call).

I find it extremely curious why multiple people said that Suzie was asking many other girls about coming over and staying the night. That leads me to believe Sherrill was having "that one guy" over. Or something was seriously wrong.

Who called at 11:15 pm? Who was in the house prior to June 7, 1992? And after April 1992.

It probably wasn't Cox. Or Garrison.

If Sherrill was refinishing a piece of furniture-Officer Bookout smelled varnish-why invite a man over? Staying somewhere else would make sense-and if Suzie thought her mom was having a man over why would she want to stay there?
