She didn't know anyone was missing. She had to call the Kirby house to find out her daughter hadn't slept there. That also isn't usually a sign of a kidnapping when kids are celebrating their graduation. Most parents would assume there kid continued with the plans they had for the next day and just didn't keep them updated.

Right, I don't think anyone realised the seriousness of the situation till the end of day. I always thought McCall called the police when she visited the house in the evening. I would be interested in knowing who all the people were that came to the house that day, and if any of them rang any alarm bells?

I think Nigel came by there, and said she immediately suspected something wasn't right because of how the cars were parked in the drive. Not sure though, but would be interested to know who all the visitors were? Also, family members kept calling/leaving messages, but when?

There is someone(s) not in the news. But Cox can’t be ruled out as someone who was somehow involved.

I decline to provide those name(s) except to the police.

It is a virtual certainty, however, that he/they have posted here and elsewhere.

As I have said elsewhere it is easy to post something that is proven fact as they can’t be argued. There are also certain posts that are very similar to previous posts by someone who used different names.

As an example, someone says the only way the case can be solved. is through a confession. If the perp or perps know that he/they would not confess and know that there isn’t evidence to indict he can’t be disproven.

There is or was a poster even here who used at least two names but denies it and says only a confession can solve it I question everything he has to say. I’m sure he has covered his tracks well as he is a computer wizard. He has not posted in years, however.

As to my previous post I should have said an additional unnamed person OTHER than Cox.
im glad you are kind of addressing my question to you from several pages back????......even if it is deferred by different poster.
much appreciated. but there is still nothing but innuendo here.

bbm
you can not make blanket statements and unsubstantiated accusations of ws posters without supporting it.
truly ludicrous, it would be funny if 3 womens lives didn't hang off it.

It doesn't really defie any belief. When I was in high school I had friends where I would feel very comfortable entering their home if the door was open, and especially if their cars were parked out front. Yes I would answer the phone if it rang too.

They would do the same at my house as well. Nothing really seems strange about it.
bbm
the point is it …. is tad strange though when the person who took the call (who probably shouldn't have really) didn't tell LE or anyone straight away that it just so happened to be a prank sexually explisit call....did so later....
but at the same time they are getting sex freak calls in another persons house and ...oddly the residents of said house have vanished in clean air while leaving all their belongings and cars there.

no nothing really strange about it???

So Missouri Mule, I guess your silence and lack of contrition toward this innocent person and many other innocent people, of whom you've falsely and publicly accused numerous times of being part of a heinous murder, just because they disagreed with you and your theories, speaks fathoms about you and your credibility and character. My recommendation to anyone on here that believes honesty, integrity, and truth is always the best policy, is to not pay anymore attention to this individuals posts from here on out. Or you may be the next one he publicly and falsely accuses of this crime. Until you apologize for the slanderous false accusations you've made against this person, and many many others, you have lost all credibility. ZERO.
couldn't agree more .
this poster has reported me and had my comment removed for simply replying to an outrageous lie I was correcting and...insinuated that I was the perpetrator
new prey comes and the cycle begins again....
we aren't going away this time though.
usually what happens around here people get sick of the same ol same ol I know everything but I actually seem to know less then most drama and leave.

I am here for suz, stace and sherrill…..and am not going anywhere :):)

I’m wondering where that “sandwich shop” was near the house. That never has sounded right to me.

Might explain the multiple trips to question Janelle by the police. In one of the videos she was complaining about whether the cops talked to one another since they kept asking the same questions.

Having said this what on earth is the motive? I can’t pry that out of anyone and I’ve asked several people who have devoted years to the case.

Somewhere I have seen or heard that on the 25th anniversary a certain police officer allegedly said to Janelle “that there is still time.”

Does anyone know if that is rumor or fact?

Seems to be a rather odd statement if true.

Can anyone speak to that?

These prank calls were pretty popular back in those days. People really didn't give them much thought. So the fact that Kirby would just hang up and forget about the call is not strange at all.

I’ve wondered if the cars were parked that way in order to let Sherrill out of the car port in the morning. So as far as I know Sherrill was not expecting the girls home that night.

Otherwise it would have made more sense for Suzie to have entered the driveway from the east side rather than the west side if Suzie always drive straight into the carport according to her friend Nigel.

yes I grew up in this generation.
prankcalls yes.....sexually deviated ones.....umm no.

your not addressing the accumulation of odd behaviour.

- Janelle starts ringing sherills house early.
-after a few hours she is concerned enough to go over to sherills to look for girls.

-its not her house but she tresspasses in looking for them.
- her friends aren't there.
- she has never been to this house before ever.
-all their things are there including the cars.
-there is a broken porch light that they take it upon themselves to find a broom and clean up. oh....and take it across the road to another property to dispose of.
- the front door isnt locked so they just let themselves in and wonder around looking at stuff.
- doesn't contact stacys house to check if like maybe they are there? its not like she isn't comfortable using sherills phone right?
- a sexual deviate just happens to ring sherills house TWICE while Janelle is there and for her to take the liberty of answering.

then we just head off to the water park for the day and forget about spending the last 6 hours unsuccessfully looking for my vanished friends.

Yes prank calls sexual in nature ran rapid back in those days. Ether by perverted old men or teenagers. It was quite common to just hang up, and think nothing of it.

Since Stacy's car was at Suzie's house, there would be no reason to think that she would be at home. All this seeming somewhat strange just wasn't enough to sound the town bell. So I can see why the Kirby's just took off and went to the water park. Like I said before, its not like you would have seen the situation and said: "OH MY GOD! AN ABDUCTION HAS TAKEN PLACE IN THIS HOUSE!"

I think friends/family started taking things more seriously later in the day when the three women still had not returned to the Delmar home.

Being familiar with Springfield back in the day, I would say this was a crime let out to the outlaw community, successfully performed, then done and long forgotten. These types don't chit-chat and they don't make deathbed confessions. The only way this card pops back up is in a cut deck held by law enforcement promising to reduce prison time. And those types have long since gone to jail already if they were going, done their time, got out and then either died, or washed their hands of past lives. The only other component is that other gang in town, the Law. They know, and what they know somehow reflects badly on them.

Or there was a "Visitors" car parked behind Sherrills car.

I completely agree with this, I am the girls' age and can relate to the nonchalant attitude by everyone that morning and it would have been normal back then to walk into someones home and even answer their phone. Different time. JMO

Answering a phone in someone else's house is odd. Even if she thought her friends could be calling or other people making plans, you would let the machine get it before just picking it up. People could have been calling for Sherrill she might have wanted to hear them if she had returned. Janelle should have no reason then to believe she wouldn't.
Prank calls were common. I thought I heard that someone had been doing this to many people in that town. If it's true that they found the person, the lewd calls might not have been personal. I think everyone has participated in prank calling, back in the day before cell phones it cost money to dial other area codes (if you even needed to). That puts some limitation on who you could prank call. So it's possible Janelle received calls or thought it was kids drunk from the night before.

Was time back then like the twilight zone?

Social norms still existed I assume?

Letting yourself into a home you have never been in and not invited into is weird. So are you are saying people would just randomally walk in off the street and check front doors and if unlocked just walked in and make themselves at home?

Also Janelle thinking the family had gone to a sandwich shop, how long did she think they would spend there considing she had been ringing the home from 8/9am? - she didn’t arrive at the house until 11ish so that’s one hell of a brunch.

The twilight zone, huh? lol. Not quite, but definitely another time. All I'm saying is that Janelle- after knocking; noticing the door is unlocked; (yelling into the house without a response) to walk in and check for them is not odd to me. Again, IMO.

I grew up in London and was 6 years of age in 1992 so obviously in a major city doors were always locked up tight and not something I have experienced.

The funniest (most pathetic) thing about this to me is the Cox Medical buried-in-cement crapola. Why not try Lake Springfield, Fellows Lake, or Valley Water Mill Pond? All wet, all deep, all in or near the city.

I can relate. I grew up in a town of 10k but moved to Houston Tx after graduating high school and now NY. Would be very weird in a bigger city to do what these girls did.
