"Mistatements" and/or Lies by Cindy & George

IMO, George is a chameleon, molding himself to resemble whomever he is with at any given time. I also believe Casey inherited this tendency from George. JMO

I agree, Casey inherited much from her father. I cut George Anthony little slack. I think he's a[n unusual person].

George imo never displayed any kind of denial. In fact his early eagerness to help LE at times seemed strangely self indulgent. I got the feeling he even used the early interviews to get things off his chest about his troubled daughter, something denied him at home. When Cindy had effectively broken off communication with LE George imo simply reverted to type and wouldn't argue with Cindy AND Lee.

I would like to deny all rumors that I just had a good cry watching Billy Eliot. Thank you.

When the car was driven back to the Anthony home and parked in the garage, it was summer in Florida. We do not ever have cool summer breezes in Florida. The humidity in the evening keeps the atmosphere muggy and hot. That garage would have been a stinking sauna.

...and it had been raining...add that to the humidity!

I think George's story of seeing Casey and Caylee leaving "like any other normal day" was two-fold. He was trying to make it sound like all was normal and if there was a fight between Cindy and Casey the night before.........all was well by morning and there was no residual anger. He also wanted to make sure that everyone knew that he saw Casey and Caylee leave the Anthony home and whatever happened to Caylee happened elsewhere..........not in the Anthony home.

I've felt that George's story of seeing Casey and Caylee leave on June 16th was far too detailed to be believable. No one remembers the details of what a person was wearing on a day more than a month previous that was not a remarkable day....just an average day. (snip)

RS&BBM--Leila, great post. You are soooo right on IMO. And in re: the bit I bolded above, let me add this observation--which is MOO! and JMO! and possibly a bit sexist! but which I just can't shake:

GA is a man. The only men I have ever encountered who would have such perfect recall of what a person was wearing OVER A MONTH AGO are my beloved gay friends, and even then only if it was something spectacular. I seriously doubt that DH would remember was I was wearing when we went out together last night, let alone what I was wearing when I walked out the door for work a whole month ago. To think that GA suddenly developed a Bravo-channel-esque recall of these types of things is IMO completely unrealistic. (I wonder if anyone ever asked GA what CA was wearing that day?)

And FWIW, I will be releasing a statement later this evening through a spokesperson to the effect that there has been absolutely NO CHANGE whatsoever to the status of my totally non-existent huge pile of laundry. You read it here first.

MOO
Watching and listening to George on those LE interviews, I heard a guy trying to ingratiate himself into the investigation, as an exLE, asking for special consideration, i.e. "Can you guys call me first if you find out anything?" and "If Casey starts talking, can something else go away?"
He also gave them the benefit of his "extensive" homicide detective guy experience" by pointing the finger at JG, casting RG and the whole family in a bad light. Call it a gut feeling, huh detective Anthony? Gee, we need to pay attention to this guy's insight.
Not.
All of his "help" and cooperation IMO was nothing more than to gain first hand knowledge of where they were going, where they were looking next.
"All I ask is when you learn something, call me first."
Um, yeah, right, George, because that is how LE always operates...
And I would like to add, seeing that LKL video made me think of how both Cindy and George always seem to have an answer for every questionable and suspicious thing Casey did, they did. Liars always have an answer and they expect the rest of us to accept their answer, because everyone before always has.

I think part of the reason CA has been in hibernation lately is that her employee disability must be expiring soon- she wouldn't want to be seen out and about in her very public, confrontational way if she is going to try to get SS Disability on emotional grounds..

But ZsaZsa, I would think that would lend credence to her claim. Seriously. Then again, do we need anymore proof? I would say her disability on emotional grounds has been very well-documented in and by the media. :cow:

As many "mis-statements" or "lies" we have from George and Cindy to use against them... nothing is going to be as powerful come trial time as what was never said by either one of them.... which was a public appeal to the "kidnapper" for the safe return of Caylee. Not once, in all of their public tirades did they ask for this. Not only did they never ask/plead/beg for Caylee's safe return... once it was confirmed that the remains were in fact Caylee's, in I believe one of the depositions (can't recall which one), Cindy was asked if she was actively seeking to find the "killer" of her grandbaby... Cindy replied that it was not her job... it was Law Enforcement's/her Private Investigators job.

Seriously, who answers a question like that? Her two-year-old grandbaby was found murdered. Not only murdered, but thrown away like trash. Duct tape wrapped around her airwaves. Her tiny bones scattered by the elements of being out in those woods for months on end and it isn't her job to find out who killed her? She had no problem making it her job to impend the investigation on the "disappearance" of Caylee... but once Caylee is found to be in fact, deceased, she no longer cared? That is how it came across to me?

I really don't know what Cindy thinks she will gain by now claiming that Caylee is alive. How is she to explain the fact that she had a child's remains cremated, if not Caylee's? How is she to explain away the fact that she had a very public memorial for Caylee, if Caylee was alive? How is she to explain away all the "anniversary" appearances on national/local news stations, if Caylee is alive? If she claims Caylee to still be alive on the stand, come trial time, she will have to explain these things.

I don't think for a minute that Cindy believes Caylee to be alive. I think this another one of her attempts to... I really don't know what she is trying to do by claiming this... but it has "malicious intent" written all over it. It is evil all the way around. Cindy scares me. A lot. I find her to be a disgusting human being and I believe a jury of sensible people will see right through her. They won't fall for her "grieving grandmother" act.

I do believe that Cindy loved Caylee... but not a good kind of love. She used Caylee. She used that innocent baby to gain whatever it is that she was seeking at the time she was seeking it. Casey played Cindy's game right along with her. A disgusting game of tug-a-war for the ultimate control over one another... and over Caylee.

Poor Caylee! I seriously can not wait until this trial is over! I want so much to see justice for Caylee. I want so much for that precious baby to finally have peace. I want so much to never have to hear another word come out of any of their mouths. Cindy, George, Lee, Casey, Jose, etc... I want them all to just go away. Forever. I want to remember Caylee... without having to think of all the horrible people she was surrounded with in life... and in death. To be able to be a part of this forum when all is said and done... and we can all breath and look up to the sky and say.... Caylee, this was for you! Justice is yours... and only yours! That she will see nothing but the love of thousands of strangers who stood by her side for that moment when the person responsible for her death is found guilty.

Okay... I am getting really sentimental...

Quote Respect LolaMoon :)

The 'thank you' button was not enough. Esp. the "they never made a plea" part.

I'm also very suspicious of a "clean" white Sunbird and Cindy and Lee professing that George was the detailer of the family, even compelled to wash and clean cars of visitors. I'm sorry Anthonys, do I look stupid?

Oh, what killed me was George saying that he didn't put the tape on the gas can because he would have put it there more neatly or something like that. Really George? You put that much thought into random tape placement? I don't know anyone that would stop and think, Hey! I better that duct tape on that gas can neatly! That has to be one of the stupidest things he has ever said. He totally put that tape there and then came up with a dumb lie to say he didn't.

But why? What's the point in lying about it? Okay... Okay, I know we're talking about George and Cindy Anthony, but I really don't understand why they think that lying about these things is going to help Casey? Are they hoping to try and confuse the jury with their contradicting statements?

Like the morning of June 16th, 2008. For years, Cindy has said she did NOT see Casey or Caylee that morning before she left for work. Sure she heard them breathing... then didn't hear them breathing, but she knew they were there... I mean really, don't we all understand that just because she did not physically see Caylee and Casey that morning, that it doesn't mean that they weren't there. Let's all be honest, we all know that Cindy did not see them the morning of the 16th... I don't think we are entirely convinced that George seen them that day... but George, in his state deposition (the one he was supposed to be the most truthful in), LIES and says that Cindy did see Caylee that morning before she left for work. It's a senseless... useless lie?

The same thing with the gas cans. George says he did NOT put the tape on the gas cans, Cindy says George told her that he put that tape on the gas cans?

The same thing with Jay Blanchard Park Zenaida-Samantha-Slap Casey Down- Kidnapping story. Cindy says Casey told Lee... George says, oh, ummm.... oh yeah, we made that one up while Casey was in jail... okay, he didn't say it that way exactly, but he might as well have?

I just don't get it?

Lol, okay, maybe there is someone who does. I guess it was just bizarre to me that he would chose something like that to lie about. Like if he didn't put it there, then the mystery invisible person who killed Caylee did. It was just so bizarre and random. I mean, geez, if you're going to lie, make it a good lie! It's right up there with someone at the towyard put a body in Casey's car. There is such desperation to distance themselves and exonerate Casey at the same time. It's just sad and pathetic.

Welcome to the twisted and illogical world of the Anthony's. To them, this is normal and makes perfect sense. Anything, anything detail to throw the police off or exonerate Casey in some way. They just can't see the big picture. They can't understand it's not going be one detail that saves the day. They can't understand that Casey can't be saved no matter what they say or do. Why she has to be innocent no matter what is a mystery to me. It's like they just can't be the parents of a child murdering monster. Denial at it's finest.

I would think LE knows exactly who put the tape on the can because there would be fingerprints on the tape.

And if that wasn't enough, his back peddling and blatant LYING during the state deposition about the gas can. I put his remarks in my signature because it was so unbelievably STEWPID!!!

Honestly, I have never seen Geo as some hamstrung henpecked non man. I have always seen him as a liar, manipulator and a real piece of...work. I find his "Cindy won't let me" crap as just that...that whole family has something horrendous they are trying very hard to hide. I just have no clue what it is. Yet.

I don't know what he said during the GJ, but he was held up as some kind of hero for Caylee over it. We have no idea what he said. I don't believe he was a hero. Ever.

AND I might add, they caught him in so many lies, it was sick!!!

I understood him to be saying the OCSO put that tape on there to railroad Casey.

I would think LE knows exactly who put the tape on the can because there would be fingerprints on the tape.

Which reminds me of the stewpidest thing Geo said about the gas can being covered in print dust.
"It was dirty when it was returned to you?"
"Covered in dust."
"Fingerprint dust?"

"It would have never left my house like that."

You have to imagine the looks that crossed Ashton, Drane-Burdick, and George's face at that remark. Clearly George Anthony was in full LIE mode...

You can't make this stuff up,

I understood him to be saying the OCSO put that tape on there to railroad Casey.

Thank you, I had forgotten exactly what he was implying. I know it was talked about earlier in the case, but I've slept since then, lol.

But yeah, you're totally right about the fingerprint dust too. That's what gets me. They think LE is just so stupid and incompetent when LE has Casey nailed to the wall. I definitely see where she gets her attitude and lying from. It's just amazing how far above LE and the law they think they are.
